As for why I'm getting married sooner than later, instead of waiting & saving for a big wedding... Long story short, it's because of the immigration process being so drawn-out and complicated. Getting married on the date we chose is the best option.

Probably the worst thing will be plane tickets to or from Michigan, where my fiance lives, it's about $500 for a round trip. Besides that, my biggest expenses will be rent, food and paying back my mom since I owe her money for vet bills.
