death_nation : A Pentagram, with the two points facing upwards (the star turned *upside down*), is the symbol commonly used to represent Satanism, the Pentagram being Sigil of Baphomet, with the two points at the top representing his horns.

Whereas the Pentacle - the symbol on my layout with the two points facing down - is a symbol used within Wicca and traditional European Witchcraft, which are VERY different from Satanism, in fact they could be considered opposites. The Pentacle can represent many things (and also different religions, like you said), mainly the Craft itself, as well as the metaphysical elements you mentioned above. I am not strictly a Wiccan, my spiritual beliefs are very personal & eclectic and I draw from many different religions and spiritual paths; I have the Pentacle on my layout, and I also wear one on a daily basis, because "Witch" is a title I identify closely with.

Before you go hating on Wicca... The devil worship and calling on demons you mentioned MAY be practiced within Satanism, but definitely NOT within Wicca, where NO black, evil, negative, or harmful magick is ever practiced. And please keep in mind that Paganism and Christianity (namely Catholicism) are VERY closely related, share a common history, use the same yearly calendar, and in some aspects are nearly identical.

You are missing another important point: Nowhere did I say I wholly rejected religion or spirituality, I simply stated I do not believe in the Christian Satan, hell or demons being real, tangible things. Someone can be spiritual without prescribing to any Abrahamic superstitions, you know. :/

Scratching ruined my Spyro 3, and Dance Dance Revolution discs to the point where it couldn't be read anymore by the Playstation. Grr. So, sort of. I don't listen to music on CD very often, if at all, so that is unlikely to happen.

Have you ever seen the anime, Elfen Lied? If not, AVOID IT. The manga is much better and was actually completed.

NotJon : I've seen it and it is one of my favorites, mostly because of the enjoyment I got out of watching it. I wish that manga was not so expensive. I know you can download it or read it online, but I get my reading done on the bus, and I don't like having my laptop out on public transit for obvious reasons.

In a lot of ways, I'm an idealist. I might strive towards or believe in something purely because of emotion, and not because it is entirely feasible or possible to attain. I recognize this, but it doesn't bother me. I am not a removed, cold or purely analytical person. I can't really help but act on what my heart is telling me and analyze situations based on empathy, or else I feel wrong and not in line with my morals.

If you could be in a cartoon/anime what would it be and why?

Markeith21 : I'd be a Sailor Scout in Sailor Moon because I love their outfits, and I like the idea of being from the future. (All of the Sailor Scouts were sent back in time to change the course of events so that Crystal Tokyo palace on the moon - the kingdom that Sailor Moon becomes a princess of - would not be destroyed by forces of evil).
