So everyone, what did you think of Final Fantasy X-2? I've heard a LOT of bad opinions about it, but personally, I'm liking it... Think I'm only about halfway through it, but so far I love it. Maybe it's Rikku being sinfully cute, maybe it's the way the characters all act like people I know (including myself)... I dunno.

It is kinda funny though... Rikku and Yuna remind me of a couple of girls I like, personality-wise... And Paine is a lot like me. Yuna's real-life counterpart is a girl named Katherine, and Katherine and I usually are thinking the same thing at the same time. Ironically, that seems to be the case with Yuna too. (Yuna & I have actually jinxed each other once! Weird. ) And Paine...well... When Yuna was hanging off that cliff on Mt. Gagazet and Brother kept babbling on about the word "disasterrific," I was sittin' there thinking, man, I'm gonna hurt this guy... And a second later, Paine goes, "You want me to hurt him?"

I about fell outta my chair laughing.

So anyway, 'cause of all that, I LOVE this game. How 'bout everyone else?

Boring. Not interesting to play at all. Most other FFs are alot better.

I love how easy it is to level up your Healing Dresssphere; White Magic. Just tie the button down and leave the room.

Yeah, I beat it last night...but only at 50%.

As far as what I didn't like about the game... I wouldn't say it ever got boring, but just that it was... I dunno... The girls had their dorky moments where they struck a pose thinking they're cooler than they are, but hey, we all have those moments on occasion in real life, don't we?

Maybe I'm just a sucker...but...I have ended up crying at SOME point during FF8, 9, 10, and 10-2. And 10-2 was probably the best one yet, with Shuyin & Lenne and all that. Least, in my opinion anyway

I haven't really played it. I might buy it sometime soon since I am betting it is cheaper now. I heard it was kinda silly.

FF6 and 8 are the only ones that have made me cry so far. I guess I haven't played them enough. Xenogears was touching too. I think that one made me cry. I have to play through it again with my own game though, just to make sure I cried. FF6 makes me cry a lot.

None of them made me cry. I did hear of someone who cried while Squall and Rinoa were on the spaceship. That was a really sad part.

Yeah, that's when I cried on 8... On 9, I cried during the ending... On 10 and 10-2, I don't remember all the times. I know I definitely cried during the endings on both of them... I cried during Suteki Da Ne in FFX and 1000 Words in X-2... I may have cried the first time Tidus saw the ruins of Zanarkand... I was a freakin' baby all throughout 10 and 10-2.

10-2...I wouldn't really say it was "silly," but just that the girls acted like, well, girls sometimes. They just strike some kinda corny anime poses on occasion. Like I said earlier, just trying to be cooler than they are. Other examples of their craziness that's a little out-of-place: When they fight an enormous machina called Vegnagun, Rikku has a problem focusing as they move between knocking out each part... Example...they take on Vegnagun's right leg, and they say this:

Paine: "Leblanc and her group never would have stood a chance against this part."
Rikku: "Well, we do have a LEG up on her!"
Yuna: "Can we save the jokes for later PLEASE?!"

Then when they finally get up to the head...
Yuna: "This is it!"
Rikku: "Yay! No more climbing!"
Paine: "Could you PLEASE FOCUS, RIKKU?!?!"

I remember Final Fantasy X made me cry, because I was playin' it downstairs and my dad's friend was watchin too, and we both cried and my dad walked in and looked at us and just walked out lol...so..yea...I think 8 made me cry too, but I'm not sure, I'd have to go back through it again...

So far i've shed a couple tear for FFX, and I'm not done with the game yet. FF7 was another that made me cry some.

I personaly liked what little of FFX2 that I've played. I think that the humor in it and the poses added a personality to the game that made it more enjoyable to play.

I thought one of the funniest moments I have seen in a game was in FF VII. When Cid makes his speech on the Highwind.

FFX-2 was good. If you shoot through the game you can finish it in a single day and still have time for dinner lol. Anyways, because my PS2 is broken I'm stuck at around 80% right now without a way to play. I enjoyed it. It brought back some interesting aspects of older FF games, the main one being FFV's job setups. I loved the story behind it though. I'd have to say my least favorite thing about it was the lousy end boss. I'm sorry, he sucked. I was less than level 50 and figured either I wasn't really at the end or that I was fighting pre-lim fights. When I suddenly saw the ending roll I just about shut it off without watching. Anyways, after that I decided to level to level 100. That also took me less than a day to do, so I'd guess another bad point is the length of the game. Anyways, 1000-words and Real Emotion have become two of my favorite songs and I want to play through the game a few more times just to watch the amazing videos fit into the game. Watching them at the little theatre just isn't as fun.

Would have been pretty cool if Square hadn't released any images at all of Yuna in her new fashion... And you only saw that when she actually started to transform in the opening. I thought it was great how they started with her in the old Summoner outfit, and it just felt like that whole Real Emotion video was just all about introducing the "new Yuna" along with Rikku & Paine of course

I definately agree with you there. I like her in the songstress outfit more than her regular outfit though.

FFX-1 made me cry... I thought it was that good... Alot of people didn't like it, but I really did. It was a great game, and I loved it. seeing Yuna lying there with the look of a broken soul, at the end of the game. I couldn't help but cry.

FFX-2 however, I really didn't like it. I made it all the way through the game, and the side story of Paine/Pain/Payne (I don't remember how to spell it) was great, but the rest of the game just wasn't good...

That and I couldn't stand the way Yuna ran... and they BROUGHT BACK THE ATB SYSTEM!!! GAD!!! I liked the one where I can throw out 60 hits in ten seconds with Tidus better...

The only game that has ever made me tear up was Final Fantasy 7...and than always hearing her theme song afterward would bring out a tear....but that was what, 7 years ago? So yeah, I was only 12, lol.

Speaking of emotions, some of the really sad songs from the Final Fantasy games can really bring them out, and get you thinking about things in a way you wouldn't normally think about them.

Having just finished FFX, I thought the game was rather disappointing, but a fine game none the less. The ending sequence however, almost had me in tears.
