This petition you can sign to help the cause of a person who is a true and real furry on the inside to make them into a real one to let their dream come true. If you have a heart and understand a furry who just wants to be what they are, then please have a heart and sign this petition to make this into reality to the people who are furries on the inside. I'm not making this into a joke or want people to think it's insane I just want you to realize that a person who is a true furry on the inside let gene-splicing to be allowed. Yes there are risks involved and me and furry fanatics are aware. but this is a serious issue so please understand. I'm not trying to make you think it is crazy and impossible, because this is possible by the fabrics of science and other powers. This furry thing sounds like nothing more than a fantasy blown out of proportion. If you are having identity issues like that due to fandom, then... I don't even know what to suggest.

Sure, I can wish that I looked like an anime girl as much as I want.. But urging scientists to genetically engineer anime-looking is beyond ridiculous, and verging on disturbing.

No really it is possible to be part animal and human they just need to take some steps to get the coding right.

If someone is willing to have genetic experiments performed on them so they can become beastmen, I say why the heck not.
First reason, it allows experimentation on humans rather then animals, so we might actually find some cures for people rather then animals.
Second, it's their body, so let them.
And if something good comes out of it then it's win win.
They know the risks and want to go ahead, so why not.

I can see this going horribly, horribly wrong.

First off, you're going to get yourself killed. Don't kid yourself. A lot of people will die if you just dive into a procedure like this. And no amount of animal testing will make a species change safe.

Secondly, then we have to deal with the cultural part of it. How do you expect to fit in anywhere after turning yourself into an anthropomorphic fox? Can you imagine how awkward it would be to live like that? People staring, making fun of you, being afraid of you, those judging eyes penetrating your very soul...

Then there's the political. We have to deal with the humanity of the fact. Does an anthro technically count as a human? If not, are you protected by the same laws? I know this sounds stupid, but these are loopholes people are going to exploit.

Thirdly, are these genetic changes passed on to your children, and do you have the right to make the change for your children without them deciding?

I'm sorry, I can't support this. I have a fox character I really would love to be, but I'm not willing to change myself to become him. I'm happy with myself the way God made me, and as we learned from Michael Jackson no physical change will ever make you happy nor change the state of yourself on the inside.

I'm want to do this not because its cool and it has nothing to do with my identity. It's to become what I believe in what I wanted to always be and I don't care what others judge. I mean lets face it there are always gonna be problems which people need to see what a person does not for a person says or looks like. I mean sure there are those people who are gonna cause problems, but they will need time to adjust to the new race or beings.

I pesonally believe this is messed up why would you ever want to be a furry what could you do as a furry thatyou couldn't do as a normal human and it's dangerous and you would probbably die just to be part animal not to mention I find genetically altering someone unethical unless it's to prevent some otherwise incurable disease and even thats a little out there for me

I find it funny all the people who find this "unethical" because it is genetic manipulation on a person, but these same people would have no problems with the same experiments being performed on other animals.

It doesnt matter if it goes wrong and gets them killed, it's their choice.
They are not doing it to get themselves killed, they just think it is an aceptable risk rather then "living a lie" as a person.
It's not about them being able to do more then people, it's just them doing something they want, the same as people that get tatoos and body peircings.

If they are successful then it would be in the news, and while I might glance at them if I saw them on the stree, I would not make fun of them or be afriad of them any more then a regular person.
In fact things like this might even make them better people, because animals dont do nearly half the bad stuff people do.

On the political side, of course they will face some hardships there, every minority group does, but they were born humans and have birth papers so they are legally human and have human rights.
In some places I can see them even having more rights then some groups.

On genetics, yes said changes would be passed down to their children.
But these children dont even exist, and the whole "do you have a right to do this without letting them decide" thing is rediculous, thats like saying "did black slaves have a right to have children".
It's the same premise.

This logic makes no sense to me. If the people are going to act morally more like animals does that mean they'll have sex in the streets and collect nuts for winter? Those are things that animals do. Besides, if these people want to be like furries, I've never seen a furry act any different from a human, aside from a couple of comics where the carnivores ate other furries.

Hey it's just a race that can exist and people should see that inside who they are not what they look like. If you do that and people judge you on looks, that just shows your more of fricken jackass you really are. I mean come on we still have a war that should have stopped by now and a terrible society as it is anyways. This just to let people who want to try to become a sub-human that can exist, and they wouldn't show these instints like most of you would think.

These things may be considered bad from a "legal" or religious viewpoint, but they are not bad morally, just instinctual and undesirable to certain people.

Beastmen would not do these things because they have cognitive reasoning.

The point I was making is that humans are the only animal in the world that abuse their own children and take pleasure in harming members of their own kind.

I never said animal testing was okay also animals do alot of the bad things people just on a smaller scale like war they fight over territory, resources, and power as far as abuse goes some animals do do abusive things for example adult male hippos have been known to drown younger ones to keep power also last time I checked morals were mostly based on law and religion aside from basic things such as murder

First you make the point that humans do things that are more horrible than animals do (because humans totally kill babies and use them as beachballs way more than dolphins do) and then you make the point that they wouldn't act differently because they would have cognitive reasoning. However, through this logic, these anthropomorphs wouldn't act any different than humans, which have cognitive reasoning and yet commit murder (legally), rob people, and generally do horrible things.

Am I misunderstanding you? I hope I am.
