earthwarrior : Those can't be fixed to work with the default RGR Plugin emulator, but they will work in Mednafen.

So, I was playing a hacked game called "Pokémon- The Johto Journeys."  I get stuck at the first town, then when I go into the grass, Professor Oak leads me right through a house and then the game freezes but not the music. I can't move or anything. Everyone complained about that. There's no other way to get through except cheating on the game.

Black Bot : It could be that the hack just isn't finished since I couldn't find any other versions of it than the one in the RGR, or could be the emulator causing it to crash. Try the Mednafen emulator from link in top left of play window; that seems to be the only solution so if it still crashes there's probably nothing that can be done.

Crash problems on Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

The RGR plugin crashes in two separate instances that I have seen so far.  One is game breaking one is not.

The first possible crash happens in Hyrule Town, after shrinking down to minish size in Mama's cafe, climbing to the rafters, and exiting to the roof and going across the bridge to the next roof.  The game crashes right as you enter the hole at the end of the bridge into the main Hyrule shop (on the way to getting a new bottle).  Immediately the screen goes black and a tab pops up saying the Vizzed Retro Game Room Plugin has crashed.  The black screen itself contains in white letters the following text:

Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap is loading
Exiting this window while the game is loading may crash internet browser (and a puzzle piece with a dead-face on it is there too)

Since it's not absolutely necessary to get this bottle, I was able to progress further and found another crash point:

Temple of Droplets
The crash occurs in the dungeon after moving a lilypad from the large central water/ice room (on floor B2) with ice blocks (which you have to move a certain way to flick a switch), and you have to go up and right to a room that is dark.  It crashes seconds after entering the dark room; with the same crash message as the previous instance.

If there are any further crash points I haven't been able to see them.

Since this is a devastating crash glitch, I can't really progress any further.  But yeah, both crashes if they can be fixed, that would be great, thanks in advance.

Madden NFL 06 and Madden NFL 07 for the Game Boy Advance- Whenever you go to a menu or get a chance to see the plays, there is a glitch. In Madden 06, there is a dark gray space and a curtain-like space that is different shades of blue. In Madden 07, the gray space is white, and the blue curtain is a light red or pink. Please get these fixed, it would be awesome to play these!

DaFlame12 : It may be some sort of built in protection from EA to limit pirating of their games. (Since these games were made in the last 10 years) and EA is very protective of their media.

I checked into it and neither game works with the primary emulator, or Mednafen, so either it just so happens that there are two bad roms, or that this is some sort of early copyright protection. Either way, it will be looked into. Also, the games have been marked accordingly to show that there are graphic errors.

BTW I'd like to add that I tried multiple times to go into the areas in the Minish Cap where the crashes occur, and they occur every time.  There's not one instance of it not-crashing when I went into these areas.

Oddly I can enter the item shop in the usual way (through the door) without it crashing.

Shebakoby : Right. I'm sorry for that trouble. There's been several posts regarding that game and the issue is that the rom cannot be emulated correctly using the default emulator.

If you use Mednafen (The alternate emulator for several systems) It shouldn't crash your game. To use it, just open a game like normal, then click the link in the upper left hand corner that states "Play using Mednafen" The problem here is, that any saves states you have will not carry over.

Mednafen is nice for several reasons. 1. You can go full screen by pressing alt+enter on your keyboard with the game window active. and 2. You can record your game play and post it on Vizzed yoube channel (Or your own)

Jordanv78 : First, thank you for marking them and looking into them. I am surprised no one has came here before. Also, I would like to state that I doubt it is piracy protection, because Madden NFL 05 works fine. I wish you the best of getting them working soon!

DaFlame12 : Yeah I mean it is possible that the Roms are bad, but I find it strange that both games do the EXACT same thing in the same spot using two different emulators.

We will try to find replacement roms and see if that helps.

Our userbase doesn't really play old sports titles unless it's something that's a classic like Tecmo Bowl or NBA Jam or something like that.

DaFlame12 : Yeah, for some reason it works with the Java emulator, but not the plugin right now. Probably something to do with the file/directory. I'll mark the game accordingly and someone will look at it ASAP.

As I said you can play it with the Java emulator, or you can play the NES version that I know works.

I apologize for any inconvenience.

DaFlame12 : That's the way the game is when emulated. Not much you can do about that game really. Getting a different rom will not help the situation.

As you can tell on the game page, there's a lot of complaints about that particular game.

Jordanv78 : Yes, I can tell. I wish it would work because that's a good game. But, on Super Mario World and Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, when you use Virtual Super NES Emulator, there are sound issues. Even when you exit the games, the messed up sound still plays for 30 seconds or more.
