I would eiter use a fire or fighting gym
Fire: Charzard, Blaziken, Arcanine, Rapidash, Ninetales, and Houndoom.
Fighting: Blaziken, Lucario, Machamp, Breloom, Gallade, and Polywrath.
(i really like Blaziken)

If I was a Gym Leader, I would use a well balanced team, maybe I would be the final boss of the game.

I would use

Swampert
Flygon
Alakazam
Gengar
Charizard
Raichu

That would be my dream team.

I agree with BreakDown. But I would use a balanced team from first gen.
Here it is: Venoshaur, Charizard, Blastoize, Pigeot, Alakazam, Pikachu.(they would be L:100, all of them).

I'd for sure either own a bug gym or an Ice gym.

I know if I had Bug gym I'd have both Butterfree and Beautifly. I'm unsure of the other four, though. =O
For Ice, I'm not sure. Glaceon, most likely. I fail at thinking of more, ha ha ha. xD

For starters, I wouldn't have a full six, none of the gym leaders do. I would either be ghost: Gengar, Mismagius, Drifblim, and Rotom; or I would use Steel: Skarmory, Scizor, Bastiodon, and Empoleon. I admit I use mainly Sinnoh Pokemon, because even though they're not the best creatively, they do have some pretty good stats.

Id probably be the eight gum leader with a simple all around group based on eevee.
eevee (strongest monster, would be at character's side probably appear in the challange image as well)
Monsters used: flareon, Jolteon, vaporeon, umbreon, espeon, leafeon. ((the eevee in the image is not actually used in battle. As its too important to my character to be used in battle.)
My team is simple but are all vulnerable to ground type.. so it still has the one monster can kill them all base..

Level wise they would be around the late 50's and early 60's.. after all its the elite four who have the strongest monsters.. Im just a gym leader^^.
However the Eevee attached to my character may appear in cut scenes when helping the Hero out. but you never actually see the Eevee fight.
Outfit wise id want a robe and cape type set up, sort of like Lance uses.. but wearing black with a green cloak.

Oh and id also just be on my own.. no flunkie trainers.. but maybe some fans.. and hte usual guy at the bottem who comments on the monsters I have. Since im using an eevee team Characters would probably comment on my Cute monsters.

For starters, Leafeon and Vaporeon are super-effective against ground, whereas Espeon and Umbreon are neutral. An evee team has no one-type knockout force... unless you use Glaceon over Flareon, then you can use Bug-types, they work well against leafeon, umbreon, and espeon. Also, since you're only the eighth gym leader and not an actual E4 member, you can't have Pokes in the 57-65 range, that's E4/Champion territory. 50-55 is good though. And cut scenes? You planning for releases with cut scenes? oh well, w/e. Sorry to be so nitpicky, it's just you seem to want to be like the leaders in-game to a point, so I'm trying to help you appear that way.

your probably right about eh levels though its been along time since ive played.. My primary goal would be to stretch the opponent. Instead of having one set type iwth one weak point.. id use monsters that forced out an opponents skills. Further helping them grow before the final battles.

Though its a bummer that Id want to be stationed in Saffron city.. because of the Pokemon tower there. Besides IVe always liked Saffron city^^.

I would basically use Ghost/Dark/Psychic pokemon and only pokemon from the first and second generation. Gengar, Tyranitar, and Alakazam. That's all I would need since my gym is going to be a secret hard to find gym that gives you something truly amazing if you win. Since it's a secret gym all my pokemon will be at least level 70 I don't care if the other gyms are like that or not it's my gym I'll do what I want.

No, I was saying if you wanted a one-type wonder to beat you, you'd have to take out Flareon for Glaceon, and then the type would have to be bug. And Earthquake against Leafeon (a grass type, and therefore resistant to Ground, as well as having defense as its highest stat) would do almost zilch.

How could you not use galceon? he has 130 base special attack, and if you use hail blizzard will never miss plus he has 20% better chance of evbading an attack. even though he if a new one, he if very good, and i just hate vaporeon, so id sub galecon for vaporeon. id use the same party besides that though.

i would most definately be a dragon gym leader. i would use flygon, dragonite, dragonair, dratini, salamance, and shelgon.

I would probably be a steel type gym leader, or maybe water.
Steel: Empoleon, Steelix, Skarmory, Bastiodon, Magnezone, Scizor(most powerful of them)
Water: Dewgong, Poliwrath, Gyarados, Blastoise, Swampert, Milotic(most powerful of them)
Lvl 50- 56

It would probably be Salemence, Flygon, Charizard, Milotic, Dragonite, and one other.
I think that would be awesome.

If I could make my own gym, I would make it a Flying, traveling -type gym. I would have my Dragonite as my own 1st Pokemon, who would I ride on. Then the opponent has his own main pokemon to ride on. The objective is to use 5 of your other pokemons to try to defeat the opponent's main pokemon. So, we would summon out all our pokemons and use them to dual at the same time. Or you can use 2 pokemons against the 6. Then we would travel the skies, and defeat the enemy. When 30 minutes is over, the match has ended. THe player with the most pokemons still able to fight wins. If it is a tie, then it would be a draw.

That would be the most EPIC thing ever.

My pokemons would include

Dragonite
Flygon
Salamence
Charizard
Pidgeotto
Palkia.

I would have a water type gym. my dream team is squertle, totodile, mudkip, piplup, the starter pokemon in the 5th gen., and lugia. im the last gym. (starters, lev 70, lugia, lev 80)

If I could make my own gym, I would have a mostly Ghost type gym, my team would have a Gengar, a Alakazam, a Spiritomb, a Roserade, a Dusknoir, and finally, a Tyranitar.

If I was a Gym leader, I would ether be a Fire type gym leader: Ninetails, Infernape, Flareon, and Typhlosion or a Dragon type gym leader: Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp, and Kingdra. Infernape and Dragonite would be my strongest pokemon.

I would have to be a Grass/Electric Gym leader.

Team: Parasect, Vileplume, Ampharos, Raichu, Electrode.

I'd have a dark/fire type gym where they have to ues flash to find their away around the gym where the trainers under me could ambush them like ninjas

Team:Typhlosion,charzard,dustskull,gligar,magmar,gengar.
