Galacta : Take the original opacity and filter out and change the last rgba number to 0.6(maybe darker). That should definitely do the trick.

But generally I like it, it's a very nice layout!

But you should definitely keep the top, just make the text smaller, maybe center it or something so it's obvious it's not worth reading. And don't put "Just skip this" do something like "pi0x" or I don't know... Something that's easy to ignore but worth reading if you happen to forget.
