xfighter1138 : yea as for steps they came out with a whole new console which is the first console ever to have wireless N built in and it has 250 gb hardrive which alone is 130 bucks for a 250 gb hardrive on the ps3 and its going to be the same price as the elite used to be. Also they expect kinect to be fully optional in almost every game that comes out near the end of the year next year. Watch kinect is going to be a ten times better hit then playstation move and eyetoy did together. also microsoft did its best to reimburse everyone who was affected by the consoles that red ringed. They extended Everyone's warrantys by 2 years and you didn't even have to pay shipping. Also might I ass to the argument that even though the playstation is supposed to have better graphics or at least that what people think but the truth is that the xbox 360 has three symmetrical cores running at 3.2 ghz where as the playstation has ONE powerpc-base core. If you look it up half the games that come out for ps3 can only go to 720p like fallout 3 is 720p on ps3 but on 360 its 1080p and it actually runs smoother in 1080p then 720p so it doesnt help and video lag.

Twistedsnow9 : Wireless built in? You realize unless you don't have the new Slim, you have to buy even more cables for it. I could care less if it was on every game, I repeat, I feel good playing games with my controller and not having to struggle with hand motion movements and Sonys working on a terrabyte hardrive for the future. And for the graphics? I could care less, I play my games for the gameplay not the visuals. Also, half the arguments I pulled up you never even responded to. I talked about how Natals
flaws as a system, you went to the direction of console specs which apart from red ring of death I never pulled up.

You two should probally continue that discussion in "Which is better, Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?" because it's sort of derailing this thread.

Now, to talk about the companies as they currently are-

Microsoft dont care about the customer, they just want to make a quick buck by churning out rubbish.
Same goes for Nintendo these days, Iwata has just turned that company into one that is all about "what can we sell to the stupid casual market buyer for the biggest profit" rather then about providing people quality products for a reasonable price.
Sony at least put some pride in the products they make, even if they are as bad as the other to as far as being greedy bastards.

And the PS3 at least has GOOD console exclusives, and most all the worthwhile games the 360 has are either on the PS3 or the PC anyway, so that only means they have to compete with Nintendo.
But seeing as though these days Nintendo mostly only really releases games for prissy girls, little kids, people with short attention spans and their mums it's hardly competition

xfighter1138 : yes but what I am saying is that the games that come out for both systems are the same gameplay yet the 360 has the power to go 1080p whereas most ps3 games cant. Also kinect aka project natal had flaws at the e3 2009 when it was only 4 months into development. This years e3 they had no problem they were letting millions of people play it there and at comic con with no problems. also what you said about the wires the xbox 360 comes with every wire you need besides hd. The same goes for playstation 3 they don't give you hd cables either. all in all 360s the way to go.

Twistedsnow9 : Except there's been reports of problems with Natal so far especially and I quote at an Asian fashion show where natal was being tested "They also tried Harmonix's Dance Central. This demo actually went okay, as the models only had to do a few steps back and forth on the screen as they accumulated points. Just when they hit their stride, someone must have hit pause or the game encountered an error, because it abruptly ended."

Overall, I like Nintendo better. They've been around longer and I grew up with it. They also made more memorible games like Mario, Metroid, and Zelda.

SEGA has to be the one even though they don't have a current console at the moment they did bow out of the market with the best console ever!!!

Sega also created the hardcore gamers console the Saturn and the biggest console in Europe in the early nineties the Mega Drive.

I also think they are the best because of the arcade games which they produce such as Crazy Taxi, Super Hang On, House of the Dead, Sega Rally and many many more.

Sega also produced the most in depth game i have played Shenmue, it just draws you in to its world and the amount of things you can do is unreal like play a Sega Saturn, get a job, play slots, talk to every random-er you meet, prank phone call people and train to make sure your kung fu is the best.

Nintendo is my favorite console company because I grew up with Nintendo. My second would be Sony because the PS1 was the first non Nintendo console I had (I bought it with my birthday money in '98). I haven't made my mind up about Microsoft but as of now it isn't looking good.

Of course nintendo. nintendo brought video games back in 1983 and has been number 1 ever since. they always come out with the most ground breaking consoles such as the gameboy, ds, wii, and now 3ds. nintendo is the best IMO

If they know how to make good consoles, and good games, any company that can is good. If they can't, they aren't. That's how I look at it. I love Sony, but I don't believe they are amazing. Sega's releasing of all those M rated games for the Wii that are good ones is pretty awesome, as well. Kudos, Sega. Now... I must get my parents to let me play Madworld.

If I would have found this poll a couple months ago, I would have said that Sony was the best company, but more recently, I have seen their creativity declining, and only producing clones of old games, or just being used as a host for another companies games.

I will now have to vote for Nintendo.
