Why do some people hate Shedinja? He's freaking sweet!!!

Not only is it as complex to get him as it is to find most legendaries, which makes him a secret pokemon in my opinion, but also he has the best ability in the entire game! Wonder Guard! (only affected by its weakness)

Plus, there's the word NINJA incorporated into its name, which makes it the best automatically, but also my Shedinja could learn Shadow Ball, a Dark-type move!!! And I think Thief too, another Dark-type move!

He's half-bug, half-ghost, he's a floating empty shell (awesome!) Sure, he only has one HP, but his Wonder Guard ability more than makes up for it! Or just teach him detect or something to avoid the rest.

But enough of my rambling. Lol. What do you think?

I also think Shedinja is a unique and great pokemon, but I think there are more powerful pokemons to add to the team. Every pokemon has advantages and diadvantages, but Shedinja to me is not really the best pokemon for my all around team.

I think shedinja's a cool Pokemon and definitely want to add one to my list of Frontier-worthy Pokes, but it is nowhere near the best. A big plus for me is it's ghost type, which would be my specialty type if I were to become a gym leader (want proof? My most frequently used Pokemon include: Spiritomb, Frosslass, Giratina, and Haunter).

Shedinja is iffy. You can never use one on a team with Tyranitaur, Abomasnow, or Hippowdon obviously, but if you have a weather changer, a pokemon with Rapid Spin, and other support, Shedinja can sweep unprepared teams. But you have to be VERY careful about it. One false step and BAM! you wasted a teamslot.

Also, Shedinja@Focus Sash does wonders.

My Shedinja's Lv48 cuz I use him so often. I dont remember what attacks I taught him right now, but I remember how fun it was training him up that high. And I think it's hilarious to see him so strong with only 1 HP, especially when my other Lv50 pokemon have near 250 HP each. Lol. Oh! If you all are fans of Shedinja like me, then here's a pop quiz!

Shedinja has only five weaknesses. One of which is Dragon. What's the rest?

FAIL! Dragon is not super-effective against either bug or ghost. It's weaknesses are:
Fire
Flying
Ghost
Dark
Rock
Look it up on Bulbapedia.

Damaging status effects, damaging weather, entry hazards, & Leech Seed can destroy Shedinja as well.

I think Shedinja is pretty good. It's also fun to Skill Swap Wonder Guard onto a pokémon with very few weaknesses. I'm just glad Sableye & Spiritomb can't learn Skill Swap. That would be disastrous for the other team if they could.

Whatever! Lol. I don't even own the game I got him in anymore (sapphire) so my memory sucks. Lol. I just remember a Dragon-type pokemon being basically the only kind that ever took him down. And Bleh to you for having to look it up anyway. Lmao. Cheater...

I didn't look it up, I told you to look it up.
lol, Surgiac, I agree, good thing Spiritomb and Sableye can't learn Skill Swap. I've actually only ever had shedinja once, and then I didn't even use it all that much. But I would like to give using it a try.

While an interesting pokemon, playing a Shedinja is a gamble with the odds stacked against you. Shedinja is immune to most damaging attacks, but dies in one hit from fire, ghost, flying, dark, and rock moves as well as the moves future sight, doom desire, destiny bond, struggle, and all of the shadow moves. Poison, burn, and confuse statuses can KO is too, as well as any damage returning abilities like recoil damage, ability "rough skin", damaging items, and damaging weather. Equipping a Focus Sash will prevent death once with absolute certainty while a Focus Band has only a 10% chance but works repeatedly in a single battle. Neither is effective against future sight, doom desire, or destiny bond. His stat's aren't really high enough to abuse unless you raise them significantly, which may not be possible because he dies so quickly.

It's ability "wonder guard" cannot be overwritten or skill swapped, but it can be traced. Additionally, some people like to hack and give it to Spiritomb or Sableye because the dark/ghost combination has no natural weakness. In order to harm them with non-weather or status moves, foresight must be used, and then they are vulnerable to fighting only. For some reason, Fire Fang works regardless of what has wonder guard.

You heard that right: If you know someone has a Wondertomb, bring out Flareon! Then have fun watching your opponents ragequit.

I also like whole idea of his name having a ninja sound at the end which kinda is suiting for him as he is very hard to find and catch. I like him and voted yes.

I don't like shedninja since I can't really train it.I guess it is also that the 1hp is just not good enough since I see a lot of trainers with pokemon with moves super effective to bugs.

Ragequitting is ending a battle because you're angry that something didn't work or that you were haxed a bunch.

So when they pull out WonderTomb (who is suppost to be invincible to all but Toxic and Sandstorm and the like), and you kill it with a mere FLAREON, well, you can imagine what they will do.

It's good if you are fighting something it's not weak not, personally I've only really needed him for one Gym leader and that was the electric one[my team was a bit....odd] To which he was a meat shield up to magenetnite and it worked out in the end. Good for some situations but I would rather have my Ralts using psychic

Shedinja is the Pokemon that you would want when facing the battle frontier. But then again, that's why you should have it know protect so on the first turn you know if your opponent has a move that can harm Shedinja and switch out(Crono's special strategy). Have it know moves like Fury Cutter, Shadow Ball, and Hypnosis!
