What's your favorite Sonic game and why do you like it more than any other sonic title? It's probably well documented by now but my favorite Sonic game is easily Sonic Heroes and to not go to long on that I think in terms of characterization this is the best I love the cheesy tone of the game and Jun Senoue is the composer so you know I have to adore it. I would say more but anything else and I would just be repeating what I said in my review so what's your favorite sonic game and why is it SA2/S3&K?

Without a doubt it has to be SA2B, the Gamecube port of the original Dreamcast game with an added two-player mode and some fixes here and there.

The game depth is just exaggerated. You have the main story, with four side missions for each main one, and of course some mid-bosses to be fought. Then you have the side games, the 2-player mode, and of course, the Chao Garden. Anyone who invests less than 200 hours into all combined modes hasn't really played this game enough.

The Chao Garden is the forgotten gem of the Sonic franchise. Up to this day, people are still working on mods for it just because of how easily it can be fixed and expanded. There are so many things to do, so many things to aim for, and so many more things you can do to keep yourself entertained watching those lovely creatures grow up, taking countless forms depending on many factors and even playing a bit with the genetics.

There will hardly be a better game than that. It may have a better story, better animations or whatever, but overall this game is godly. If I ever have to ditch away my Wii, I will surely miss saying goodbye to this precious little disk.

And well, Sonic Heroes wasn't bad either. The trio format, the leveling up, the different missions... But, like many other Sonic games, it was set in a very fantastic and fictional world, whereas SA2B takes place more on real world and has more realism to it, plus a bit more of a scare too. Those are also reasons why I place that game so high compared to others.

When it comes to sonic games, I agree with the loud majority: the 2D games were some of the best (Sonic 2 & 3/Mania) no doubt. With the majority of the 3D titles being received a bit worse than the previous titles.

All that being said, however, I do find a lot of nostalgia and entertainment with some of those more 'bad' titles. The secret rings was good, Colors was good, Generations was good, Forces wasn't too great but you can make your own OC so that slaps.

Either way when it comes to those 3D titles, I still think that Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast will probably always be my favorite. The Chao garden alone is enough for me to say that. But I also liked the the fact that you could kind of feel what it was like to play as the bad guys for a while. Video games don't typically let you do that anymore.

Well gotta give love to Sonic 3 especially since I am such a Master at it...still wish I learned about that hack in the Carvinal zone sooner when all I had to do was just push the D pad up and down instead of trying to conserve the bubble shield

Well to me it has to be Sonic Mania. That game was meant for the people for the people and to the people. The nostalgia and remix of a few classic levels of old genesis (and stardust speedway from sonic cd… tho should’ve had the good future song) plus new original stages really made this game enjoyable throughout. Before this I would’ve said Sonic R for the Sega Saturn

You know I just realized something, should Sonic get the multiverse treatment? I mean I think it would work in cinematic form (does AoStH and SATAM Sonic share a continuity?) even if it means bringing up the forgettable and hated stuff (I mean I dare them to bring up Sonic Underground)

I may have a nostalgia view or the fact I have only played 2 sonic games.. but mine is Sonic unleashed. Only other one I have played was one of the Sonic Advance games and honestly don't remember which one.

I do know unleashed is what a lot people say is bad but I still liked it. It takes a lot for me to hate a game outright.

pokemon x : I think a lot of people have realized Unleashed is amazing in more recent years for my money Unleashed is still the best looking Sonic game, speaking of which I gotta know which console did you play it on? Because the PS2/Wii version is very different than the 360/PS3 version.

Right now my favorite isn't a specific individual game but a collection. At the end of October I was at Goodwill and they had a copy of the Sonic Mega Collection for Gamecube for only $10. This was a couple months after I bought my Wii from the same place and I still hadn't bought any games that could be played on it plus it had it's original case and manual so I thought it was a steal.

It had seven Sonic games and a few others that you could unlock all on one disk. One of the reasons why I love this one so much is because I spent more time playing this than any other Sonic game, despite having it for under three months. I know for sure that I put more time into Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 on this than I did when I was younger.

Sonic Colors Ultimate would probably be a close second for me.

It has been a long time since I have played a Sonic Game. I mostly play Mega Man games. But I would say my favorite game would be Sonic and Knuckles.

The main reason is getting to play the game through Knuckles was awesome. Knuckles is one of my favorite sonic characters. An honorable mention would be Sonic 2 because it introduced my second favorite character Tails. I know in the original game you could not play as Tails unless you did 2 player. I think in remakes you could play as Tails.
