I have entered my anime phase and need some new ones to watch because of how bad I am at watching anime. I literally only watched 6 different animes beyond like 5 episodes and half of them are Pokemon, Yugioh, and Digimon. The other half are Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, and The Seven Deadly Sins.

A couple years ago I got some suggestions but I'm at a complete loss of what to watch. I don't think I'll be into the obvious big mainstream ones other than My Hero Academia but I'm looking at a bunch of options.

A couple ones that I was recommended recently include No Game No Life, Cautious Hero, and Log Horizon, but beyond those I am lost. I could use all the help I can get in deciding what anime to watch.

The best recommendation I can suggest is Assassination Classroom. It's not excessively long and the plot is just amazing. It revolves around the class of the failures (you've seen some classism like this in several iterations of Yugioh) and how their new teacher, whom they need to assassinate as he's a super mutant capable of moving at Mach 20, guides them through their last year of school.

I think there's no English dub of it (Netflix at least doesn't offer me an option besides Spanish and Japanese) so I hope you're used to reading subtitles. It's absolutely worth the time, I can tell you, it's been less than a year since I discovered it and I've already re-watched it.

I don't have any other suggestions besides one of my all-time favorites, which is Saint Seiya. I have watched the original series (plus the unfinished Hades OVAS produced much later), Lost Canvas, Omega and Soul of Gold, all of them exceptionally great. The two later anime adaptations are unknown to me, one is a bit unrelated (much like the Episode G manga) and the other one follows a more realistical approach and is currently still airing, and I'm not interested in any, to be honest. As for the movies, better stick to the anime and/or manga and leave that behind, they were never very good.

Some of the anime I'd recommend would be like Re:Zero, Mob Psycho 100, Saiki, and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Those are some personal favorites but I believe FMAB even if it's not my favorite anime is the greatest anime I've ever watched if you get what I mean I don't think I've ever heard of anyone disliking it.

The Princess Connect! Re Dive anime is a fun watch its a very cutesy anime with a lot of charm and personality, WIXOSS can be an interesting anime to watch it's based off of a card game but most of the focus is on the story and the characters rather than the game itself, cultured individuals like shimoneta and prison school, ore no monogatari is an adorable romance while Horimiya is also a lot more down to earth people who read the manga waited around 8 years for the anime (currently airing), if you are interested in isekai anime (transported to another world) there is Re;zero which is really good and it is interesting to see the story unfold you spend half the time asking what is happening and the other half asking what's going to happen next, Overlord is a giant spooky skeleton trying to take over the world while reincarnated as a slime is him trying to establish his own nation and striving for equal rights among monsters and humans (which makes sense since he is one now), log horizon is about players getting stuck in what used to be a game but is now a world of its own with the main focus for them being how to survive in this world, live alongside those who used to be NPCs and how to progress moving forward, and Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu is seen as the grandfather of isekai in terms of setting a lot of the standards that many isekai now go off of. If you like watching people eat watch koufuku graffiti or food wars. If you want to watch something to do with adventuring watch made in abyss. If you want something where the mc relives events and goes down different paths each time watch steins;gate, erased or the aforementioned re;zero. Or if the whole "cute girls doing cute things" genre is more of your kind of thing then just watch any idol anime there is like aikatsu or love live.
