I think the best way to deal with it is not to do what a lot of people are doing, that is constantly be reading about it in their free time and following media reports religiously. News sites have reason to sensationalize every new development with eye-catching headlines often making things seem worse than they are. That's what keeps readers hooked. This gets people riled up and they become fearful sometimes to a ridiculous degree when they don't really need to be. It's unfortunate but it's the reality of the situation.

My tip would be to exercise self control. Follow your government guidelines and keep an eye on any new reports they put out but stay away from it outside of that. Even better, exercise a little outside or at home. You'll be better off mentally and physically, which will likely improve your mood and put you in a better state to deal with any problems.

Zlinqx : my mood is doing fine without exercise. to me, i am ok gaining weight and i don't diet because i have smouch problems since i was born. i get sick most vegs out there.

cid789 : That's fine, it's really just one easy way to take your mind off things while also counteracting the decrease of physical activity from not going outside. It can be good for people who are feeling especially stressed since it does lead to a lot of psychological benefits. There are other ways to take your mind of things though, like occupying yourself with games or some other hobby so it depends on each situation.

Zlinqx : i am always online on my laptop playing wizard101 or my download games or on youtube or playing in tournament here or discord i am taking a break from now

Zlinqx : I have felt significantly better after not paying as much attention to the news that's constantly trying to get my attention. I've paid attention when it's important, but I'm relieved. I agree with what you said about self-control! It's been great to try to have some consistency in my life, including with my sleep, exercise, diet, and hobbies.

Pacman+Mariofan : That's great. Aside from being worried about the virus itself, a lot of people start feeling bad when they're locked inside because they stop having a normal routine. Because they're locked inside they don't feel like it's worth maintaining which is a bad choice. That can cause depressing thoughts and mess with you physically as well. Maintaining some consistency should go a long way to making the situation more bearable.

Zlinqx : Yeah I know how that guilt feels when it comes to my schedule. It was the hardest to deal with at first when I wasn't hanging out with my friends anymore, and I wasn't working either. But since I've stayed connected with a lot of people on my phone, I've since felt better about that.

It's been alright. I'm pretty introverted so I have no problem staying home for long periods of time. I do kind of miss going out but it won't kill me or anything to not.

I need to get back into my fitness routine, though. Been gaining too many quarantine pounds lol

I think that it is a bacteria infection and not a virus.

Honestly it's not really been an issue for me. I don't go outside anyways. I don't have any "at risk" family members to worry about either as to put it simply. My family is full of douches,Besides the ones i'm staying with at the moment.

It's a sad truth but ignorance is bliss. Also taking basic preventative measures and giving a damn about other people helps as well.

There's too many people that misunderstand that isolation is to prevent the number of cases, therefore reducing the number of high risk people that get it. They just only care about themselves.

I've dealt a lot with these sort of people in life.. Like a few have messed around and not believed the seriousness of my epilepsy until i have a seizure in front of them and it freaks them out.. and then they never speak to me again... lol

sonicmcmuffin : wow ouch sorry to heard sonicmuffin, you need someone that understand what you gone thru as friend like. i have been with bullies and family as well. like my dad can like bully me alot. i almost want to hit him for it but i am more happy now and he passed away 2 weeks ago on friday.

For me, just playing games, avoiding people and trying not to think about it too much. Its not perfect, but it does help
