Good day,

Sometimes you want to play a game and it doesn't work.
When I experience that, I wait and try again later.
When it doesn't work later, then I try it on a different computer and if the reaction is the same, I assume the game is broken.
Who should I go to, to have it fixed?

Mighty_Sir : if it not a game on here, i heard the sega flashback has 2 big problems to the their system. 1 is worst problem to their game yet. if you guys play shining force 2 on the sega flashback system. when you or oppent cast a spell, the game froze badly, same with ps4 game on on 2 areas of the game but it is workable then shining force 2 on that system. i think buy the game for the xbox 360 so problem with the game too.

Well it's one sega game 'Alex Kidd: Fall of Radaxian'.
And a MSX game: Boulder Dash.

Alex Kidd: Fall of Radaxian is not an original Sega game I think, it will be some kind of remake from 'Alex Kidd in Miracle World' what is played in a country named Radaxian.
It;s practically the same with some changes.

Boulder Dash was one of my favourite games on the MSX.

I really want to get that last one fixed.

For Boulder Dash, the wrong system is saved in the MESS part of the plugin and there is no longer an option to change it apparently; there was a while ago options for me to change the system within the edit-page, but looks like Davideo7 removed those options.

To me it seems a software problem and not an emulator problem. When I had a sega master system and I received that message then I knew I had to get the cartridge out of the computer, blow into it and make sure I place the cartridge the right way and solid in the computer and then it worked properly .

My curiosity was stronger then my sleepyness (here in The Netherlands it's 1.15 AM right now) so I tried the Mednafen emulator on Alex Kidd "fall of Radaxian'' and I was surprised that it worked perfectly. So that game is apparently not broken but just doesn't work with MAME/MESS.

The problem is the settings within MESS. It needs to load a specific system folder, and those settings are apparently not available for Vizzed Staff anymore after Davideo7 redesigned the edit-page (page for staff to modify settings).

There might be a work-around with changing files within your local plugin data folder, but I'm not sure since the plugin loads data dynamically. I'll look into it though.
