So I'm a huge sucker for weird Pokemon. The less mainstream something is the bigger the chance that I like it. Not because I'm a hipster like that but just simply because I like using weird stuff. I'll give some examples.

My favorite water type in Unova is Basculin. I've never in my life hear anyone talk good about this pokemon when it's honestly a beast in battle.

Probably my favorite generation 3 pokemon is Nosepass. I also love its evolution Probopass, they're honestly so good and people just keep hating on them for no reason.

I think Avalugg has probably the best design out of all of the generation 6 pokemon. Between him or Dragalge.

So I'd say the first weird pokemon I used was Basculin thanks to furret over here xD after that in the same play through I caught a adamant nature Cryogonal and let me tell best pokemon ever. I never expected to have a ice type that I was hesitating to use in the game I was playing it was a mmo with other regions so Cryogonal was in all three hall of fames I think one of my only two pokemon to do so. Ever since I've found some other weird fun pokemon but those 2 were the best so far.

Back in the days of ORAS I gave Kecleon a shot, going through the trouble of getting its hidden ability. Its awful speed was offset by getting both shadow sneak and sucker punch, and I also got power up punch to boost its power. I added onto that with return, and this let me use the assault vest which made its special defense completely absurd, so it was a complete truck. And also a 3'03'' chameleon. It helped that I could shuffle in resistances and immunities if necessary.

As far as underrated pokemon, I do like base Aerodactyl and Bisharp which I feel are somewhat underrated. I also like pokemon you don't hear too much about like Lilligant and Mismagius.

Usually, a pokemon's design plays a large role in how much attention I give it and the likelihood that I use it in my team, so that's why the pokemon I listed fall moreso under the underrated category rather than weird or bizarre looking like Stunfisk or Pyukumyuku haha.

I think that mine would probably be frillish if I could, I haven't used it much but I have to admit that I really do love it a lot and I like both forms of it a lot too. XD
