Serious discussion on here isn't exactly my strong suit. But I thought this thread would fit this section pretty well. At the moment, I have a part time job as a janitor, making roughly $420 a month. It's pretty rough. I'd be homeless if I was the only one paying the bills. My girlfriend and I are hoping to move somewhere with better employment opportunities, then maybe we'll be able to live on our own finally.

I'd definitely say that we're poor. We need to use food stamps to afford to eat. But hey, fortunes can turn on a dime, all you have to do is try, right?

I'm currently very low, financially speaking. I do have my savings, but I wasted like half of them (or more) trying to redirect my life into other kinds of studies, which I couldn't get financed otherwise due to internal disputes with my family.

I'll start looking for part-time jobs later on next week, now that this new path I'm taking has finally stabilized. Not sure what will I be able to find, nor if I'll make any income off of it yet, but everyone started down from here, amirite?

I know tough times are ahead of me, but I'm ready to face them. Moving out from my parents' home is obviously far away as things stand, but I want to go step by step without setting any goal in mind except keep progressing.

For me it's a slow bleed, I quit my job recently since it was proving very negative on my college grades and mental heath, so until then I need to spend as little as possible.

Not horrible. I can pay my bills with no issue due to my savings and just not having a ton of bills in general, but I'm low on spending money. Going to start job hunting again, specifically online since I still shouldn't be going out (especially when cases are rising again).

Not great right now because of the virus. Hours were cut by around 75% for 3 places and I haven't been able to head out to my warehouse to pick stuff up to sell.

Right now bills are covered and I'm able to get around 5-10 switch games a month but that's about it.

I'll probably take a hit this summer with holiday expenses and what not, because I'll either be away on my own or at home without my parents throughout the whole August (unless the virus forces the closure of some regions, like right now).

Once September comes around things could improve. I'm getting my weapons ready for a job at the dubbing industry and I'll also collaborate at my father's business part-time, which could net me some winnings if talks go smooth.

I'm already considering moving out with my girlfriend during the first quarter of the next year if September comes with good news for both of us, but I'll take things slowly even if me and her want to quit our parents' houses asap. I want to make sure the timing is right and we can move on successfully, and also be mentally prepared for it because I'm still too enclosed within my own shell.

I work part time at a Taco Bell to get me money while I go to college, I make about 600+ a month with half of it being paid out in a bi-weekly basis. For now I'm doing ok, as I still live with my parents until college is finished.

Despite being out of work for about 2 months this year, I'm doing pretty good financially. My family and I have still been able to pay for my expensive college tuition for this semester, which I am thankful for. Now that I am working again, I'm getting paid a decent amount.

I'm started working part time at Burger King a month ago making about around $500/month. Now im getting full time and should be making $800-1000/month. I still live with my parents and help pay the bills, so im doing ok.

Right now I expect to be doing a little bit better going forward. There's a couple more Gamestops in my area that are closing this month into next month so I plan on buying as many games as I can get to refill inventory for my store. When their prices drop to 50% off or more, I should be able to get enough stuff to last 4 or 5 months without having to buy anything else, and some stuff for myself too.

Quite stable for the first time in a couple years. I'm by no means rolling in the cash, but I don't have to consult my budget if I am feeling lazy and just wanna order food or I really want to buy a new game.

Savings still not up to where I'm comfortable having them, but working on it. I'm the type that's not comfortable if my savings aren't enough that I can survive 4 months of 0 income and I haven't been comfortable for awhile now.

Sometime back I ended up in the hospital for awhile, and upon getting out I had lost my job, apartment, the works. My savings drained quick staying in a hotel, and medical bills and such....I was ruined for awhile. Basically homeless for a bit staying at a friends house because I have no living family really. Worked my way back up from it though and today I can say I'm doing pretty good again. Should only be a few months before I am back to where I am comfortable being.

Considering I'm yet to go to college and haven't worked ever yet not great but I should hopefully be working on improving that some in the near future. Currently it's not like I'm broke I actually have the most money I probably ever had at one time between graduation, birthday, and Christmas music I could afford pretty much any thing I really want at the moment I could also save some but I don't have a bank account which is kinda hard cause I don't like carrying any real amount of money on me.

I am about as broke as a joke but unlike a joke I am not funny. I do try to save money where and when I can though but sometimes I can't help it when I see a bunch of games that I have been looking at for months and they are on sale.

Right now I'm going to be pretty well off for a little while. I just sold off all of my stocks in places like Gamestop, AMC, and NAKD last week so I have a nice chunk of $. Already bought some nice things and I'm waiting for the next PS5 drop but other than that, I expect this to last a whole year without having to even touch my salary $, which is nice.

It's been about a year since my last post. I'm doing better since I've been able to work more hours. It's nice that I actually can now that the pandemic has chilled out.

I'm going to be pretty well off for the next year or so because I had to take out a big loan to cover the next two semesters and that's going to come with a big refund on Friday and in January that I'm going to use to improve my career along with my own personal expenses.

I still need to discuss a few things with my financial aid department at my university, but at the moment I'm decently comfortable but not rich or anything. After I graduate in a few months I might buy a new car though and that'll eat through my funds. However I'll also have more time in my day to actually get a full-time, reliable job, so I think things will be okay. This is the scenario that I had been saving so much money for, after all.

Right now I’ve been living meh. House, dog, car and vacation out of state from time. Tho food is an issue at times with so many options to buy and cook that it often stresses me out. I can’t even start on clothing since I have a closet full of wardrobes and outfits it’s just so overwhelming


In all seriousness I’ve been living quite comfortably in this hick hillbilly of a a state and been planning to move away and return back to my hometown in Cali, even if the cost of living there is way more expensive but I can handle it. Well I’m single so that helps a lot

Right now things are a little worse off than they were before. The amount that I have to pay for the house went up by around $250 a month and for my main work, I haven't gotten a contract for the new year yet. So in case things go sideways with that one, I should start looking for a new main job, but it's going to be tough to find one that fits in with my two other jobs and school.
