If any of you haven't heard today, Nintendo of America's president Reggie Fils-Aime announced that this coming April 15th, 2019, he's going to officially step down from President of Nintendo of America after serving 15 years as Nintendo of America's President.

Reggie Fils-Aime became Nintendo of America's president just before 2004's E3 Expo where he introduced the Nintendo DS to the whole world, which later ends up becoming Nintendo's best selling console/handheld of all times, and the 2nd best selling console/handheld in video gaming history (only behind Sony's PS2), and he appear to bring news and info regarding the world of Nintendo here in North America in the form of Nintendo Directs (and other video presentations before the Direct-era), and had fun doing so, including that famous line he said from E3 2007, "My Body is Ready", which became a huge meme even to this day.

The reason I think he's holding off till April 2019 is more in likely that he want to do one more Nintendo Direct before he officially steps down from President of Nintendo of America.


Nintendo has already announced of his successor, and his name is strangely Doug Bowser which sounds quite ironic (and kinda funny) because he shares the same last name as the main Antagonist in the Mario series, which is basically the flagship series of Nintendo.

Personally, I'm really going to miss Reggie Fils-Aime as president of Nintendo of America, he was quite an entertaining fella in those Nintendo Directs over the years

Let me tell you, from the moment he came onto the front stage of that 2004 E3 presentation, and he just said "I'm in Nintendo now BAYBEEE" I knew this would be good, and ever since he's been good. Every big name in Nintendo knows how to be memorable, and I'm hoping, uh, Bowser knows how to be as iconic. And not just rely on his ironic name alone for publicity. In fact, I'm a bit concerned there was a bit of bias in selecting the next president.

"We here at Nintendo are thrilled to have someone on our staff who actually knows IT... who's name is Mario Luigi. We think the fans will love it..."

I literally just found out about this right when I got home. He will be missed, my body was not ready for this news...
