So, for my thoughts in this direct, the two games I am looking forward to is both Super Mario Maker 2 as well as FINAL FANTASY VII, and although we haven't heard about an 8th Gen Pokemon game yet, but that will probably be coming in a near-by Nintendo Direct, because core Pokemon releases has their own private Nintendo Direct.

Plus, this might be the first time ever that I might be pre-ordering 5 games this year, that is if my financials will allow me to do that.

I been working on this article for the past 3 1/2 hours, now I am dead x.x

I'm extremely excited about Astral Chain. That along with Tetris 99 were in my opinion the main highlights of the direct.

I bought Final Fantasy IX on switch a couple of hours ago despite the $20.99 price point. It's that good. Trust me, I know. I made a review for it on PS1 a couple of years ago. https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=91795

Deltarune Chapter 1 was a very pleasant surprise. Now I no longer have a need to have it on my computer lol!

Fire Emblem 3 Houses and Dragon Quest XI both look very promising. I've never been fan of Dragon Quest and the only Fire Emblem game I've ever enjoyed was Awakening. The footage from both games has got me intrigued though. I'll be sure to play the demos when they inevitably come out. That's how I got into Fire Emblem: Awakening. I guess we'll see what happens. At the very least, FE 3 Houses already looks miles better than Fates was.

I was extremely disappointed with the Link's Awakening remake trailer. I'm not digging the visuals, and the soundtrack appears to have taken a nose-dive as well. I have a really bad feeling about this one. I hope I'm wrong because I love Link's Awakening. It was the 1st Zelda game I ever played and beat. Hopefully Nintendo doesn't screw this up.

Nintendo actually has plenty of cool things lined up, even if Metroid Prime 4 is definitely getting pushed back quite a while. Out of all of these, the one I'm most surprised to see is Deltarune, considering it's a free demo...I wouldn't have thought it'd be worth the effort to put a demo on the Switch. The fact that it's happening and that a PS4 version is also planned gives me hope that it'll actually be finished, even if it spends years in development hell. I'm also wondering what the other ports mentioned here are going to be like, like Dragon Quest 9 and Dead by Daylight...They can squeeze some impressive performance out of the Switch, but is it impressive enough to handle both of those games? I guess we won't know until they release.

Super Mario Maker 2 was no surprise. With all the new possibilities brought on by the Switch and how much better it is compared to the Wii-U, and after the gigantic success of the first one, it was pretty much expected it would get a sequel.

Tetris 99 is awesomeness incarnated. Just like it was Nintendo who first popularized it on the not less popular Game Boy, now they brought us the best ever version of this game. It's not a game suited for me, since I don't do online much (my connection is so bad that I've gone for over a month without internet on my PS4), but I'm sure the gaming community at large will enjoy it at its fullest.

I like how Nintendo is finally introducing real driving simulators in its main console. We started with Gear Club Unlimited, and now GRID Autosport. While Nintendo consoles have mostly been used for crazy racers like Mario Kart and F-Zero (I still dream about it returning), the fact they're now trying to cover all aspects regarding racing games is a big step forward. I'm expecting to see what other racing simulators could they add in the future.

Speaking of big steps forward, the addition of various M-rated games is another one of them. Nintendo has always been the most family-friendly company, prioritizing anyone in the family can play instead of focusing towards certain audiences, but I like how they're slowly trying to expand their frontiers and introduce games even the most select audience are hungry for. Dead by Daylight, Hellblade, Mortal Kombat 11... I'm not a fan of them, but they're very welcome on Switch.

I've seen a few other interesting titles, like Yoshi's Crafted World, but in my opinion the rest are titles that don't shine with a light of their own. Some are very hyped, some promise to be relatively big hits, but I'm not specially interested in anything in particular. I'm kind of drifting away from the videogames world.
