I have a PS4. I have 10 trophies on my PS4. Why do I have 10 trophies? Because my PS4 is BLEEP.

I wanted more space on my PS4, so I bought a new hard drive and spent an hour taking the system apart to replace it. I did a lot of software updates and soon enough I was able to start installing all of my games again.

But every single one of my trophies was gone. All of them. They're all on the old hard drive.

How do I get them back? If I just connect to the internet, update the software, and then sync, will all the trophies I had up until the last time I synced come back?

Even if that works, all my new trophies wouldn't come back though right? Since I only sync like once every 3-4 months. So am I better off just syncing the ones I have (If that's even possible) or replacing the hard drive with the old one, syncing, replacing the new hard drive back in, and syncing yet again?

Do you not have PSN? All of your trophies should be connected to your PSN account, and as soon as you sign in they should be there. Assuming you don't, if you sync then yes, everything from your last sync should be there. It's up to you if you think it's worth the time to put the old hard drive back in and then take it back out again just to get the remaining trophies you acquired since your last sync. It should work if you do, though.

Doesn't list the dozens of trophies I got in Spider-Man, Red Dead, Need for Speed, Horizon, Digimon, Fallout, or the 20 other games I've played since the start of the summer.


If I update the system and then sync, all of those would come back though?

I'd just have to make sure I sync new trophies before I replace the hard drive I guess? Because I have like a dozen already on the new hard drive.

zanderlex : I'm not sure how it would work if you have different trophies on each hard drive to be honest. I would assume that the online account would just accumulate all of the trophies from the different offline hard drives, but I'm not entirely certain.

why not replay the games again to ge them back. If they are lost than it can be easy to bring them back.

mastergame : I'm not going to play a game for 50-100 100 hours, not to enjoy it but to get something I already had, and then do that for another 10-20 games. I had no fun playing the ending of No Mans Sky but spent like 20 hours going for the last few trophies to get platinum.

I think very few people would redo thousands of hours of gaming for something like trophies.
