I agree that there should be a shared jersey in the event of a tie. I actually tied thing1 for first place in the Yellow Jersey in Summer 2014, but only he got to wear it the following month, and only his name shows up in the Hall of Fame :/

Sonicmcmuffin : I agree that the elimination threads are a "necessary evil" right now. It's not even that posting in the is the "easiest route" for me, it's that they are pretty much the only threads I can post in lol. I've posted in literally every open thread that I am capable of making a relevant contribution to. So I just have to wait for more people to post in elimination threads or other forum games so I can post there again, or wait for new threads to be made. (Or make my own threads, which I've been doing, but I don't want to make pointless threads just for the heck of it.)

My big day yesterday was super important in improving my chances to break 500 points. I now only need to average 15.5 points per day to do it, which is definitely possible.

Think about it, though. What the site needs more than anything right now is activity. Game threads like that bring in a lot of activity usually. No matter how you look at it. 

To add to the topic of the necessary evil of the Hangman and Elimination threads...
I think they should be allowed to stay for the time being, as well. However, in the future, once the forum is active again, then perhaps we could implement a similiar rule to the old green and yellow.
Maybe something about a quarter of the posts / words could only come from certain threads. How it would be implemented would be a whole 'nother thing.

Sonicmcmuffin : It was really more of a spur of the moment experiment to see how things go. Based on results this season, we may tweak things, and you're not the only one that didn't totally agree with game threads being open during the competition. Elimination threads in particular were brought up by someone else who was concerned that frequent replies with the full lists could swing the yellow jersey. If it turns out that there is a fairly large impact in that area, we may make it a rule that elimination threads are to have one reply from one person per day. That's already a rule in several of the elimination threads, but it's not really being enforced right now.

If you've got any suggestions on how we can tweak anything, the team's all ears.

m0ssb3rg935 : Elimination threads should have one reply from one person per day anyways. That's how I've always done it, with the exception of the few times I've done it this month due to seeing other people doing the same thing...

I'm in the same boat as tgags. I don't like posting in Elimination threads multiple times a day, but it's pretty much the only option I have left. If the forums start regaining attention with new threads, games,, etc. by the next TdV then I'm all for them being one post a day again.

tgags and myself have already agreed to slow down when it came to those threads. Banning them mid competition won't do any good at this point, not like it will have an effect on the outcome anymore. 

Also I just noticed I'm one point shy of 300. That's mildly frustrating but hey I'll hit 300 tonight at least.

gamerforlifeforever : I'm not sure why I didn't think people would use those threads as their primary post count spots, but looking back, I probably should've expected that. Still, it hasn't damaged anything in particular this far in. Might've changed the numbers some, but it was a good trial run and we have 6 months to iron some kinks out before the next one. I'm already writing up the TDV rules with some tweaks I've proposed.

m0ssb3rg935 : I'd actually be totally ok with the 1 post per elimination thread per day.
I would also like to suggest 2 posts per hangman a day, with at least 2 (maybe 3) posts between replies per day. So like, if I am running teh hangman, and it's MOnday, there needs to be at least 3 replies before I respond and update it. However, if it's 10 or 11 pm, and there's 2 replies, then it should be ok to update befor eyou go to bed.

What if we bring back the VCS, and use that to trail-tweak the TdV rules? It'll also bring just a little more activity to the board, which would be nothing but a good thing, I would think.

thing1 : There has already been a lot of discussion about the return of the VCS. 

Most if not all people so far are all for a VCS but the problem is that the VCS page doesn't work anymore so we'd have to manually tally up everyone's post count etc. each day.

Furret : I'd be willing to run it. It'd give me something to do, and take a load off the staff.
Maybe it's a matter of the site's code being changed recently?

thing1 : I was thinking of asking a few trusted + users to tally up posts each day so there's no room for any miscounting etc.

As for who would host it, that's something we'll discuss later. Maybe the page could get updated sometime next month, who knows.

Also, I'd be fine with a 1 post per day thing for elimination threads.

I managed to accidentally pass tgags for blue. All I was trying to do was stop thing1 from taking second over me and I shot all the way to first somehow lol.

Also that 7 pointer in Green means I'm currently leading that jersey for the first time

Furret finally takes the lead in the Green Jersey competition.

Still, no one has managed to placed for the White Banner with only a week to go, maybe I should sign up to Vizzed using a re-reg and just randomlly score a point and claim my White Banner, then I though..... Nah, nobody has time for that.

But anyways, it would seem weird that we won't have a White Banner winner during a really active TdV, or probally that we have a couple of newbies that tried to get a point and get shut down by the higher ups.

So I get 5 points, manage to get back into the top 10... and Sonic had to come and gt 5 points as well in the late evening...
