Prior to the announcement of Super Smash Bros Ultimate, which will be my most favorite Nintendo Switch game once it's released this December, but before Super Smash Bros Ultimate, my favorite Nintendo Switch happens to be The Legend of Zelda. Breath of the Wild. the huge open world of BotW is that I love about it, and the storyline and the gameplay. 

Surprisingly, this has been the first Legend of Zelda game I have played, even despite of all the years I've played Nintendo Consoles/Handhelds.

There's a lot of good Switch games, with a LOT more coming out next year, but at the moment I think my favorite Switch game is Super Mario Odyssey. Just, wow. What an amazing game. There are many games I love on the switch so far, but what will no doubt go down as the best switch game for me is Breath of the Wild. 

Being a Zelda fan, BotW exceeded my expectations. The Zelda franchise, while producing amazing games, had been using the same formula for decades. This game kept everything that made a Zelda game good, but improved and changed it enough to make it a fresh experience.

I just got my Switch for Christmas last week, so this could definitely change, but as of right now my favorite Switch game is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. While the single player depth is a little lacking, the gameplay is great - the best since Melee in my opinion. It's especially fun to play with friends.

I only have a handful of Switch games right now (and I don't yet have Smash Ultimate - but I plan on getting it the next time I'm at GameStop), but my favorite game is hands-down Super Mario Odyssey. Once I started playing, I couldn't stop. It was like Mario had opened up an entire new world while still feeling familiar - kind of like how it felt to play Super Mario 64 for the first time. By now, Odyssey has become my favorite Mario game period. That game alone is worth the price of the Switch.

The only one I've played so far is Smash Bros Ultimate so that one. I'm looking to get a switch soon and there are definitely some games I want to try out as well as some games coming out this year. I'll update this if something surpasses Smash or if something comes close at least haha.

As of right now, Breath of the Wild is currently my favorite switch game. It's a very immersive experience and it breathed new life into the Zelda series. Smash Ultimate and Octopath Traveler are both very close though.

With all the amazing looking games coming out for switch over the next year, I could easily see my answer changing in the near future.
