Pokemon Emerald 06-27-13 09:16 PM |
Pokemon Emerald Version Review Summary: This is a game where you are a 10-year old kid sent out alone into the world of Pokémon to catch ‘em all, and to challenge the Pokémon league, defeat the reigning champion, and become the champion of the Hoenn region! On the way, though, you must battle each of the eight gym leaders scattered across the land with the team of Pokémon that you have captured and trained as your very own. Many others aspire to be the champion, too, though, and you'll be constantly challenged by other trainers on your path to glory. On your grand journey over land and sea, you just might stop an apocalyptic event or two, and even get to challenge ancient deities! This is more than a game - it’s an experience! Graphics: 8.0 The graphics in this game are the same as Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, colorful and bright. The sprites, in particular, are very good. In Pokémon Emerald, each Pokémon has been given their own entrance animations for when you send them out or when they are sent out against you, which is a big step up from the previous games. In battle, the backgrounds are as bland as ever, unfortunately. I only gave the graphics an 8.0 because good as they are, they're largely unchanged from two years prior, and that’s a shame. Sound: 9.0 Wow! All of the songs in this game are very well done. The battle tunes stood out to me, although the themes that play in towns and on routes are also very good. The reason I gave the sound a 9.0 is because I believe that the soundtrack in Emerald is better than Ruby and Sapphire because of the inclusion of the Battle Frontier theme and the theme that plays when you battle one of the seven Frontier Brains (post-game bosses). To me, those two songs alone were worth an extra point just because they are so good. The only reason the sound wasn't given a... Read the rest of this Review |

Super Smash Bros. Brawl 07-19-13 09:28 PM |
SSBB guide to all unlockable characters and stages. Here is a complete guide to all of the unlockable characters and stages in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. CHARACTERS: You can unlock all of the characters by playing through the Subspace Emissary, but that's too easy for some. For those who like to unlock characters the old-fashioned way, there are alternate methods. Also, a general tip for those who want to unlock all the characters quickly: go into Special Brawl under Brawl mode and turn flowers on, and make it a stamina match. Then, put a handicap of 1 HP on the CPU of choice. When you start the match, the CPU will instantly die, and you will win. Do this for a while until you've unlocked all the characters. Captain Falcon - Complete Classic Mode on normal in twelve minutes or less. Or, play 70 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. I'd go the way of Classic mode to unlock him. Honestly, 12 minutes is more than enough time. Falco - Complete 100-Man Brawl. Or, play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Ganondorf - Complete classic Mode on hard difficulty using either Zelda or Link. Or, play 200 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Jigglypuff* - Complete Classic Mode or complete Event Match #20 or play 350 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Lucario - Complete Target Smash on all 5 difficulties or play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Luigi - Complete Classic Mode using no continues. Or, play 100 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Marth - Complete Classic Mode. Or, play 10 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Mr. Game & Watch - Complete Target Smash with 30 different characters. Or, play 250 matches in Brawl mode, then defeat him in battle. Ness - Reflect ten projectiles in battle, then defeat him in battle. Or, play 5 ... Read the rest of this Guide |
