Kinniku Banzuke - Kimeru! Kiseki no Kanzen Seiha 02-24-12 04:58 PM |
Just as hard as the real Sasuke If you've watched the channel G4, you're probably familiar with the game show Ninja Warrior. If not, Ninja Warrior is an American dubbed version of the Japanese athletic competition, Sasuke. This game, which i'm to lazy enough to type out, is one of the many video game adaptations. A competition like this is to good to not have a video game. But does this game show greatness within it? Graphics:6 The graphics aren't the most groundbreaking on the GBA. It just has graphics basically. If your a graphics junky, then all I could say is two things, GET A LIFE and skip this game. Sound:6 Once again, this isn't a groundbreaking game, so it has basic sound.Though some tracks I found rather pleasing. Addictivness:8 Now for the good stuff! The game is packed with two game modes. One is the basic Sasuke tournament. The other is a strength test to see how good you are with the L and R buttons. It's more of a training mode. The character you choose has ever changing stats so it will be either easier or harder to complete the course. Overall, its a game that will keep you playing and getting you enraged ( we'll go over that later). Depth:4 No unlockables. No new levels. Once you beat it, yay for you. This game doesn't have much to offer, other than just two game modes. 'Nuff said. Difficulty:9 OMG, this game is hard. It almost made me want to through my computer out the Windows(HAHAHAHA FUNNY PUN.........Why isn't anyone laughing. Stupid Mac.) Yet, the game is possible, showing that if you practice, you'll be God at this game. Overall:7.9 The game doesn't try to push the GBA over its limits. However there is a slight amount of addictiveness and difficulty(I mean A LOT) to give it appeal. However, the lack of depth kills it. It deserves a 7.9 out of 10. |
Space Channel 5 - Ulala\'s Cosmic Attack 08-03-11 08:11 AM |
Ulala here! Space Channel 5 was originally a Dreamcast and Playstation 2 series, but only America got the port of Space Channel 5 for the Game Boy Advance. Story: A group of aliens have come to try and take over the world by taking hostages and forcing them to dance. It's up to one news reporter to stop them. So the story is short and simple. Addictiveness: The game uses the directional pad and A and B buttons to copy the enemies movements. A shoots a laser to kill aliens, and B shoots a beam to save hostages. The game is really fun to play, but has some bugs. Depth: The game is long, so you will be playing this for hours, but you can probably beat the game in one or two days. Once you beat the game, it's over. Graphics: The graphics are similar to the port of Jet Set Radio , where Sega tried to rip the same graphics from the original game. Music: two words, IT'S AWESOME Difficulty: HARD Overall:The game is fun to play, but needs major improvements in different places. I give it a 7.9 |
Sonic 1 Megamix 05-08-11 08:10 AM |
The game almost made me cry! Sonic 1 megamix is a hack of the original sonic the hedgehog on the Sega Genesis. Now I can say one thing, THIS GAME IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER PLAYED IN MY LIFE!!!!!!! The graphics in the game are just little color redo's of the original levels. Only the first level got changed almost completely. Sonic also has some brand new moves. In the first game, Sonic was only limited to running, a screw-attack like jump, and a roll. Now he has the Spin-dash, Homing-attack, and light dash moves. The sound improved greatly, taking music from later sonic games, plus other Genesis games including Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. You can also play as three different characters, Sonic, Mighty, and Shadow. They really make no difference in gameplay, but make you look cool playing it. The game finally has a save feature, so you can continue if you get a Game-Over. The difficulty went down because of the new moves, so you can easily blaze through levels. The depth is at nine, for being there is no new levels, just new level designs. It is just as addicting as sonic the hedgehog, so you should give the game a go if you are a big fan of the series (Like Me). survyguy79 out! |
Rhythm Tengoku 04-20-11 08:10 PM |
This game brings other music games into there grave In America, there is a game called Rhythm Heaven ( Rhythm Paradise in Europe). It is on the nintendo ds, and is avilable today. Who knew it would be another game sequel mess up. In japan, a game for the Gameboy Advance was released called Rhythm Tengoku. Tengoku means Heaven. This is really the true Rhythm Heaven. The graphics are beautiful. It shows off the capabilities of the gba pretty well. Music is beautiful, but story is a whole other story. Long story short, RHYTHM TENGOKU HAS NO STORY. It is the biggest thing Rhythm Tengoku lacks in. Depth is lower too, because once you do everything, it becomes repetitive and boring. Rhythm Tengoku has a high addiction rate. Once you start, you're hooked. The sound is really unique for each mini game Rhythm Tengoku includes. Each mini game is packed with colorful graphics and cute characters. One game you're clipping facial hair off of men, and next you're playing as two circus actors who can transform into foxes while on trampolines, in a circus. Yeah......It's crazy. The ideas are all fresh and original, and there is no two alike. Difficulty...... is challenging. First timers will have a hard time. But you get better at it as you go. Rhythm Tengoku is definitely worth the hard earned Viz. |
Dragon\'s Lair 01-20-11 09:39 PM |
Dragons Lair on the Game Boy Color!?!?!? If you grew up in the 1980's, you would remember the one arcade cabinet that caught everyone's eye, Dragons Lair. Walking to play some Pacman, you would see this shiny new cabinet which looked like an interactive movie. You would pop in some quarters, and play one of the greatest classics of all time! If you were living under a rock, or just not born yet, Then I'll tell you what this game is. Dragon's lair was the first full motion video game released as an arcade cabinet. It featured animation drawn by Don Bluth, who would go to work with Disney to work on some animated movies. The game was simple, Dirk the Daring, a Knight, is sent to rescue the beautiful, but much more obnoxious than Navi, Princess Dabney from the evil Dragon and escape the castle he lives in. Dirk will go through the lair, and it's the players job to keep him alive, by making him either go Up, Down, Left, and Right, or swing his sword. If you put the wrong command in, or put it in to late or to early, Dirk will die a grueling, but humorous, death. But does the Game Boy Color port stand a chance against the original? Well no. It isn't as slick, or good looking as the original, and sound quality is terrible, but it plays the same as the original. Just think, when the RGR plug in gets updated and supports MAME, then we can put this version aside, and play the original. |
