Vice - Project Doom

VICE PROJECT DOOM
Vice Project Doom is much underrated game. While growing up I never heard of it but someone told me to give a try recently. The first level might fool some players into thinking it may not be a great game because of the first stage. The view is looking down on a car while your driving, shooting, and ramming miscellaneous items that enter the road. The stage is extremely easy, the graphics on this stage are alright for a Nintendo game, but once you enter the second stage graphics, appearance, and feel all change. It becomes a platform action game for most of the levels. Only a couple levels has the player driving in the car. Other levels have the player shooting outward like the T2: Arcade Game. The main character Hart is given three weapons to choose from and can be selected by pressing the select button. This component reminds me of the first Batman game for the NES. There isn't many scenarios that really call for any other item than the laser whip. It's common for their to be a boss after every stage except for a select few. The controls for this game are smooth. I know on some NES games, players are unable to move while jumping in air and this game allows you to do that. This game has a Ninja Gaiden meets Batman sort of feel. It has cut away scenes after every level. This always intrigues me as player because I'm motivated to beat levels to gain more of the story line. Bosses and enemies are varied from animals, robots, mutates, soldiers, and crazy others. Plot was good. When first playing this game I thought it was going to be short but it was longer than expected so I recommend to play it if you have more than an hour. Like I said previously, it has a Ninja Gaiden feel to it so the more you play it and better you  become the less the game play will be. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a game to play because their tired of the cliche, looking for something new and challenging, and enjoy action platform games. It's a must play. Plus the name ma... Read the rest of this Review
Spider-Man - Return of the Sinister Six

Spiderman Return of the Sinister Six
In this game Spider-man has to go through 6 levels and fight the newly
uprising of the Sinister Six. The Sinister Six consists of Electro,
Sandman, Mysterio, Vulture, Hobgoblin, and Doc. Oct. Every level ends
with the fighting of one of the members of the six. This game I feel is a
must for all game players who also read the comics. As you know there
was a similar story in Amazing Spiderman. Kraven had committed suicide
in the comics and was replaced with Hobgoblin. I think it's awesome and
true to Spiderman to do a game based on an event that occurred in the
comics. If you did not read the comics and watched the 1990s Spider-man
Animated Series you will likely remember the Sinister Six. This game is
extremely difficult and before I played it I watched the Angry Video
Game Nerd, even though it looked rather challenging I just had to give
it a try. The graphics are decent and the music is pretty good. The
music of this game doesn't get annoying (just a heads up) cause if you
are planning on beating this you will keep dying and slowly get better
and better. It'll take a while to beat it and get used to the villains
and bosses. I felt that the Vulture was the worst boss to defeat by this
time you probably wont have anymore web left. The Vulture gets some
really cheap hits in so don't get to close when you attack him when he
lands. Overall this game isn't the worst game ever but it has a lot of
delay on the buttons which can be frustrating at times. Just give it a
try. Who knows you'll probably enjoy the frustration.
Wolverine - Adamantium Rage

Amazing game for Wolverine comicbook fans
This game is was extremely fun to play and being a collector of the Wolverine comic book series from the late 80s I would have to say the characters you fight are amazing. I find it original that they feature Wolverine enemies such as Bloodscream, Geist, Cyber, Lady Deathstrike, and Selene. The Hand and guards of the Hellfire Club are enemies you fight frequently. I don't understand why Roughhouse isn't featured when fighting Bloodscream but still this game's characters choice I think stays true to the Wolverine comics. The story itself is not based off any story that was derived from the comic but I just really enjoyed it. The music was good to listen to and never irritated me but there are a couple flaws. It takes a while to get used to some of the controls and at first fighting the enemy can be difficult. An upside to this great game is that Wolverine actually is able to use his healing factor. Players be warned though if you take up to much time in the levels Elsie Dee the android will come find you and explode causing a game over. That became frustrating at times. The best advice is to beat the level, get the password, reset the game, and put in the password. When you start a level Wolverine also can maintain the same amount of life he did in the prior level so if you do it this way you won't enter a level with like 5% health and get hit and lose. Graphics are also very amazing. I would suggest anyone that enjoys playing games of Marvel comics should really experience this game of Wolverine: Adamantium Rage.
King of Dragons, The

Eh, decent could be better
The King of Dragons was a decent arcade game made by Cap com. Something about this game was very addictive. I played it by myself but I'd imagine if it was possible to play with multiple players it could really be sweet and fun for some friends. The animation was wonderful in this game reminds me of animation from the X-men arcade game. I'm a big fan of that kind of comic book animation. The story was decent, really not the best, just that you need to destroy the enemies. The enemies on the other hand were awesome especially the leaders after every level. The Wraith are by far my favorite. Unfortunately, Cap com's uses some of the same leaders a few times which is very disappointing. They use the same enemies but change them with colors which is typical for an arcade game such as this. There are items that you receive throughout the levels but they don't have any number value for points that come up or explanation on what they do so you have to find out yourself. On the arcade version its more clear than the  Super Nintendo version what these items do.  Overall it was just decent for me. I feel that if they changed some of the reused leaders to some cool monster and had an indicator of the items picked up it'd be better. Also your character upgrades weapons but it doesn't make to much of a difference when fighting.
Chrono Trigger

This game is for all RPG lovers
This game is amazing. When I was growing up I didn't own Chrono Trigger I owned Chrono Cross. I played Chrono Cross constantly and instantly fell in love with it. The story just really connected with me. After playing it many times I really wanted to play Chrono Trigger. Eventually a while later I bought a copy of Chrono Trigger for PlayStation that also came with Final Fantasy IV. I didn't like how it was packaged, two games in one, but being a fan of both Final Fantasy games and Chrono Cross it was pretty awesome. I started playing Chrono Trigger and I couldn't stop playing; it was just as good and maybe even better than Chrono Cross. The story flowed with originality and was in the top of my RPG picks of all time. The first time I played the trial chapter became my favorite because of it's surprising originality for an RPG from the 90s. It just shocked me how cool it was. The music during the trial is instrumentally very similar to the Trial in the Wall by Pink Floyd. The music in the entire game is melodic and ambient. The animation is similar to Secret of Mana/ Secret of Evermore if you enjoy playing those games. I believe that anyone who hasn't played this game and loves RPGs needs to play this game and if you have played this game you've probably played it several times. The tech moves are also very original for an RPG from the 90s I feel and even more of a reason to play this game. Techs are special abilities but not for a single person you can double or triple your attacks with magic and skills. The games isn't really difficult but difficult enough for you to enjoy it. Lots of RPGs you find yourself leveling and leveling up your characters and it gets in the way of the flow of the story. This game if you level up adequately at the beginning of the game and well equip your characters you can really have a lot of fun with this game without ruining the flow of things. This game is a must play for all RPG fans.
