BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend
04-09-14 12:18 AM
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend needs more ponies.
Hey there, first off I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this thread and I truly hope you enjoy it, I'm reviewing what is most likely my favorite game at this point in time, my opinion may be a little biased but I'll be sure to not stray all that far from fact and not review just based on opinion. Anyway, let me get back on track, I'm just going to keep rambling at this point.

I think it would be a good idea to go ahead and give a basic over view before I get to each aspect of the game and all of that. Well, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is the a remake of the third installment of the BlazBlue franchise and features gameplay that was created to try and balance out the gameplay of the previous installment and add a few new features. (Not to mention sell the same game twice....) Anyway, it's a pretty fun and combo heavy fighter and I really recommend it, but I guess I should explain why I recommend it...

----------------------------------------------

Graphics: Let me talk about the graphics first. Alright, the game has a rather impressive set of graphics in a good few areas such as the fine detailed high-definition sprites (I've seen the game on an Hi- def television, it puts mine to absolute shame.) that have hundreds upon hundreds of frames for each character that play out with great fluidity and look incredibly stylish with some characters. Or the animated 3D backgrounds for each stage or the stages themselves which all seem to look decent in comparison to a lot of other fighting games out there.

As for gameplay graphics... Let me put it this way, it's hard to judge them but for the most part the combos each of the characters have make it so one attack has to flow nicely into the next which allows the majority of the characters, their attacks, and the special effects to look rather stunning. I highly recommend either playing the game yourself or watching some videos ... Read the rest of this Review
Jackal

Original review name for Jackal on the NES.
Alright, Today I'm doing a review on a game for the Nintendo Entertainment System called Jackal. This is a game which places you in the middle of a rescue operation to rescue your allies who have been captured by your enemies. I only played this game in order to make a review for it in order to win a competition.. But after starting up and playing a few seconds of this game I was hooked, I honestly mean that too, There are several reason I like this game as much as I do.. But there are also a few things that did bug me about the game and I'm going to go ahead and start my review now in order to show them to you. Enjoy
.
Graphic: Alright, This is actually the area of the game where I have most of my issues, I'm taking into consideration that it's an old game for an even older system, But I still have a couple problems here.. Like the fact your Jeep's wheels don't move, Or the fact that there is next to no detail on the enemy soldiers.. And seeing as they are all supposed to be snipers... They have some pretty big bullets, Where can I get a gun like that? And the entire floor on most of the levels seems like the same color simply repeated and covered over with some obstacles. But enough of the negative, Let's focus on what I actually like about this game for a moment.

While I have my problems with the graphics, It's also surprisingly good considering this is still a NES game and game designers didn't have as much available to them at the time and there are some things that are still surprisingly detailed, Like the enemy tanks.. Or those weird head statues that re appear, Or the grenades you start out with, You can tell that people actually tried to do well when this game was designed. One thing I noticed is that the game reminded me a lot of Contra (Same designers I know.) Visually, And that's something I can't say I mind in the slightest. My score... 6.

Sound: Both sound effects and the music of this game are pretty enjoyable... Read the rest of this Review
Halo 4

Halo 4 review
Alright, If you're one of those people who just look at what ratings I give this review isn't for you to read, I gave this game ratings given on how good the aspects actually are in many respects, I give a good rating where it's due and that same goes with poor ratings. I'll be honest, I love this game, I've loved the Halo series since I started playing it (At 3 if you must know, While I didn't grow up on Halo like most people my age I was lucky and got to grow up on the classics.) When it comes to simple game play, This one is probably my favorite to be honest. It's stunning visually and mechanically, With Multi-player that actually takes a good skill to master. (When you're like me and can average 20+ kills and 0-3 deaths on a game you're pretty much one of the best out there, But you're still no master at that level.)
This is truly one of the better games that have come out within the past few years, I'm not going to say whether or not it's the best game as of late or not, As a matter of fact I can tell you now it's not my personal favorite game, Pretty high up on my list but it's not my favorite regardless. A lot of fans hate this series in comparison to the original series such as Halo 3 and Halo: Reach (If you consider Reach as part of the original series, It was made by Bungie after all.) partially because this was made by a different company named 343 industries which was made by Microsoft for the sole purpose of making new Halo games. That being said many fans prefer this game to the original series as well. This game brought several new aspects into play and even added a new story arch to play through in the upcoming years.

Any way you look at it I've already spent a lot of time explaining the basic core of the game but the fun part is exploring it yourself in my opinion, And let me tell you I could go on with so much positive feedback for this game, I could also go with some negative feedback too, But the negative us highly overpowered by t... Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time

Ocarina of time review.
Hello and welcome to another one of my reviews. Just in case you haven't realized by now I'm reviewing Ocarina of Time for the N64, This game was and is an outstanding master piece in the Legend of Zelda series, And until very recently the first in the time line of the series. (And yes believe it or not there is a time line spanning hundreds of years usually with a new link each time, Starting off with Skyward sword and previously this game.)

This game is one of the most popular on the N64 console ever and I'm pretty sure a lot of people who had a N64 had also played this game or it's sequel at some point in time. And if not before now is your chance right here on Vizzed.com and I think it's one you should take... Here's why.

Graphics: Where to start.. Well, Firstly the games graphics are pretty smoothly running but there are still a few things that always bugged me about the graphics in the game. First of them being the fact that a lot of the character sprites are pretty edgy, On my first play-though of the game before I found out I needed glasses I didn't even notice, On my second play-though afterwards it was pretty much un-bearable, But this could just be me mind you. Secondly there are a lot of surfaces that really need more texture, Like a lot of the stairs in the game are just a flat surface on a.. I'm guessing 45 degree angle or along the lines of that but anyway, All the stairs (Save a few) were really poorly done in my opinion. ( They look like sand paper, I mean it they do.) But all in all these graphics aren't the worse either, They only had so much available to them when it came to graphic generators and besides... In my opinion graphics don't make a good game. There is much more to a good game then graphics and almost everyone should know this by now. But still, I had fun sitting back to the cinematic scenes like at the end where the you know what does you know what. (Avoiding spoilers here.) Anyway.. Over all it doesn't exactl... Christmas demo review
Hello and welcome to my review on a "game" called Christmas Demo. I stumbled across this when I was looking for a game to play without having to download the RGR plug-in. (Lacking the ability to download it on this computer.) And after I played it, I was quite surprised... At how awful this is. Let me explain with my review.

Graphics: Not that I haven't seen a few worse sprites then what are in this, It's just that the lack of game-play and the fact that there is only one actual sprite is a bit annoying. It's just one screen with the creators message scrolling slowly across the screen While Santa Claus jumps on what I think is the Title. My score: 1.

Sound: There are no sound effects and just a midi version of Jingle Bells looping from what I think is endlessly. While I actually like Jingle Bells a little bit (Not the type of music I make mind you.), It get's annoying after about three minutes. My score: 2. (Only because I like Jingle Bells.)

Addictiveness: I'm supposed to give you an answer based on whether or not I will play this again, And my answer is no,  I never want to touch it again and it has no replay-ability due to the fact it has no game-play. My score: 1.

Story: Well, I can't honestly say this game has a story at all. Although I guess the text at the bottom of the screen does involve the author telling how he and his friends made this and I guess that kind of counts... But not when you add mild profanity to the list. My score: _.

Depth: There isn't exactly any depth to this at all so I don't really have much to say. Unless you count the deep feeling of boredom while running this. My score: 1.

Difficultly: Well, This is something I can rate a little higher. While there is no actual game-play there is the urge to close out the window every two seconds and it was rather hard not to do that. My score: 3.

Overall: Well, There really isn't anything here I can say that's related to the game th... Read the rest of this Review

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend
04-09-14 11:27 PM
Hazama strategy guide, combo list and character data.
Captain Hazama of the Novus Orbis Librarium's intelligence division and superior to many of the other officers in the game, such as Noel Vermillion, Tsubaki Yayoi, Makoto Nanaya and countless other nameless members. However rank doesn't mean all that much to Hazama as he tends to take a more laid back approach to his job and claims "Fighting's really not my kind of thing." and would rather sit back and let others do his dirty work for him. He has shown large amounts of intelligence and cunning while on duty and has done his job well for many years. Many other members of the "NOL" have noted his "Snake like appearance" and are usually terrified of him for one reason or another, even if they can't really name why.

Hazama however is not his real name and is little more than a mask to him, personality and all. Hazama or should I say Yuki Terumi is a sadistic and murderous maniac,(And the main antagonist of BlazBlue: Continuum Shift/ Extend.) and anyone who sees through his guise will know it. Terumi was one of the six-heroes who slew the black beast (Although he was responsible for making it in the first place, as little more than a playful experiment.) (Also the black beast is a monster that ravaged the world for years until humanity finally stopped it with the help of the "Six heroes.")

Hazama/ Terumi has been alive for countless centuries and is responsible for quite a lot of things, such as creating the BlazBlue (Which he of course kept a copy of.), the Novus Orbis Librium and its rival "Sector Seven", he is responsible for brainwashing Jin Kisaragi (Ragna's brother. Ragna is the main character and holder of an Azure Grimoire AKA BlazBlue.) into cutting off his Ragna's arm, for kidnapping and cloning Saya (Ragna's and Jin's sister.) and manipulating almost every character to suit his desires.

Personality: Under the alias as Hazama Terumi seems incredibly easy going and peace loving, sly, and witty. However we will defend him... Read the rest of this Guide
Super Smash Bros.

Character mechanics for Super Smash Bros.
Alright, so let me explain in a little detail what I'm even doing. So basically I've been playing the game for a while, and as most of you who know anything about fighting games know every character has their own play style based on how their attacks work and what not. Basically I'm going over my personal experiences with these characters, my thoughts on how they work and all that, either way I should probably just get to it and not drag this out longer than I need to.

I'm going to start off with my best and probably favorite character Link:

While arguably (Okay, honestly Fox has this game dominated if you can play him right.) not the best character, he's my best, I have more experience playing him than any other character in any fighting game probably. Anyway, Link has a large amount of versatility while over all he's a rushdown/ footies style fighter. He can use his tools such as his boomerang or his bomb to create an opening to rush in and punish the enemy (5B > Dashing 6A is a great example of one of his combo's spawned from his boomerang.) Link usually has some way he can punish the enemy even though he's not the speediest close range fighter on the cast, over all he can still hold his own and usually has something to keep him in the fight. (Whew does he have some great damage with his close range attacks, might not be a Captain Falcon or DK but his over all DPS is great, I recommend him personally.)

However his lack of attack speed and range can become a problem at times, if you play him be sure to make sure you have the upper hand before recklessly attacking the opponent, otherwise you can be punished with a smash from certain characters which can mean a KO depending on the stage, your positioning and your damage. (And oh god his grab is dreadful on miss, he uses his hookshot for one of the ranged grabs in the game.. Not a good thing to miss with because it leaves you wide open for punishment, I would only use it as a last re... Read the rest of this Guide
