Super Mario World 05-01-16 01:51 PM |
Super Mario World-Simply Incredible Before playing this game, I had finished all of the New Super Mario Games. I had learned much about them on the Mario Wikipedia. Reading about them made me realize that they contained many game play elements that originated in the older Super Mario Games: Original, 3, and World. I played the original and 3, and they were pretty amazing. The were brilliant games for the time period in which they were released, and they set the standard for the modern Mario games. After completing these, I started Super Mario World. And, my gosh, am I so happy I did so. Super Mario World takes may of the elements from Mario Bros 1 and 3, improves upon them, and adds an incredible amount of originality as well. First of all, it doesn't take place in the Mushroom Kingdom; it takes place in Dinosaur Land. This helps to introduce one of the most beloved dinosaurs ever: Yoshi! Being able to ride Yoshi is a very satisfying experience, and was a fresh element of the Mario Series. The worlds are quite marvelous as well. They are much better than the world maps of Super Mario Bros 3. Plus, many of the worlds are based on something I enjoy a lot: food! From Vanilla Dome to Chocolate Island, the world themes make them even more addicting to play. Oh, the soundtrack of this game...so magnificent! The over world theme is one of my favorites in the whole Mario series, in fact, I can play it on the piano and xylophone! The boss themes, the title screen, the underground theme, the athletic theme-all fantastic. I haven't even started to talk about the gameplay itself-which shows how enjoyable this game is. There are a total of 96 exits to find, with approximately 75 levels (sorry, I forgot exactly how many levels). This proves that the game has a lot to offer. There are a total of 9 world-the first 7 main ones, star road, and special world. All are a joy to explore. The levels themselves... Read the rest of this Review |
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped 01-25-16 07:40 PM |
Crash 3 Review I liked Crash 1. I really like Crash 2. I absolutely adore Crash 3. This is an extraordinary game. The level atmospheres are very unique, taking you to the prehistoric age, medieval time, and many more. Also, new types of non-platform levels are introduced, which are motorcycle racing and flying. In addition, the boss fights are quite good, with the cortex fight in particular. Plus, there are relics to collect for completing levels in specific amounts of time. Sapphire is usually obtainable, but gold and especially platinum can get your blood boiling. In conclusion, this is a fantastic game. In fact, it's my personal favorite Crash game. |
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back 01-24-16 08:25 PM |
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Review The original Crash Bandicoot was a great game. But the sequel is not great, but excellent. This game may be slightly less difficult, but there is more content. One good change is that many levels in the game have more than one gem. That means there is more exploring, and you may have to go back in to levels multiple times. Also, the way the game plays has been improved from the prequel. The game tells you how many crates you have collected in each level. Therefore, you can look online to see how many crates are in each level, and then you can use that to ensure you collect each crate. Furthermore, there are many more secrets. There were no secret exits in the original crash bandicoot. Now, there are several secret exits, in addition to a few secret entrances. Finally, you can save after every level, which will be helpful. In conclusion, this is an awesome game. If you liked the original crash bandicoot, I can essentially guarantee you will like this one. |
Crash Bandicoot 01-24-16 08:16 PM |
Crash Bandicoot Review This is probably the first game I played and got 100% on, and boy is it a great game. There are so many secrets that can be discovered from collecting the 6 special colored gems. Also, to get every gem by destroying all of the breakable crates in every level, you can't die. This will boil your blood, but once you complete the task, you will feel so extremely satisfied, not to mention the great music that plays at the end. This is an awesome game, especially for two decades ago! |
Crash Bandicoot - The Huge Adventure 01-24-16 08:04 PM |
Crash Bandicoot The Huge Adventure Review After playing the first 3 crash games on the PS1, I wanted to play a new Crash games. I went to this one, and I had a great time. There is 4 quite a bit to do to keep you occupied. There are 20 levels (plus a bonus one), 4 boss fights, and gems and relics to collect. I would recommend this to any crash lover. By the way, the flying levels are so unique and cool! |
