Call of Duty: Black Ops 03-16-15 02:54 PM	call of duty review [i]hello guys. i am reviewing call of duty black ops for the xbox 360. this game really stunned me, even though i am no real fan of call of duty. here is my review, and i hope you enjoy it. i used an excerpt from the call of duty wiki page on black ops for the story, and if that's considered plagarism, even though it's just part of it and this information is readily available information. if you consider it plagarism i will take down the review. i will link to the page i got the excerpt from at the end.[/i] Graphics: 9/10 the graphics on this game aren't bad. the textures are pretty smooth, the animations are nice and the graphics aren't blocky or primitive. you would expect as much from an xbox 360 game. but there are graphical glitches sometimes, which makes it 9/10 instead of 10/10. Sound: 9/10 the sound in this game is pretty great. the sound is smooth, and the gunshots, footsteps and voices and general overall sound effects are nice. but some aren't, which is why i gave this game the rating it got, 9/10. i'm not hating. Addictiveness: 8/10 this game is fairly addictive. there is single player, which isn't very addictive. but there is multiplayer, which has so much stuff to do! like level up, unlock guns, that kind of stuff. but there is also zombies, where you run around shooting zombies and buying weapons. so yeah, this game is pretty addictive. Story: 10/10 the story is very good. here is an except from the call of duty wiki, to tell you what i mean. The game is set in the Cold War era. Much of the Call of Duty: Black Ops campaign is told through the eyes ofSOG and CIA operative Alex Mason, primarily through flashbacks. Mason is asked questions by an unknown interrogator about a numbers broadcast which is being used to contact Soviet sleeper cells in the United States. Half-Life: Opposing Force 10-29-14 08:22 PM	its that time, half-life opposing force time! hello, and welcome to my review of half-life opposing force. i will pick this game apart and rate it as it deserves. remember to enjoy, and like this post if you enjoyed the review! here we go. Graphics: 5/10 the graphics for this game, they were GREAT at the time. they are not anymore. the textures are... kinda rough. and the walls and heads of people and stuff like that are kind of jagged, the edges of the things. but a game does not need good graphics to be a good game, am i right? zork was a masterpiece, and it had ABSOLUTELY NO GRAPHICS! IT WAS A TEXT GAME! think about that. :P sound: 10/10 this game has some great sound effects. it very much improves upon the original game, with almost double what the original game had to offer. the gunshots, the music at points to get you pumped while you were running away from stuff, and the atmosphere during dark lonely parts of the game, where monsters will teleport in and SCREAM and jump at you, and you will wet your pants, and scream. the sound is pretty great. and the ambience was pretty good, somehow. i cannot put a finger on why i like the ambient sounds. addictiveness: 6/10 this game is not very addictive. you will probably play in through once, twice, then you will get bored. but what a great play through it will be! but a game where it is not very likely that you will play through it again, so i rated this kind of low. story: 10/10 this game has  a wonderful story. basically, it takes place in the same place that the first half-life took place in. but you are part of the army guys you have to kill in the first game. you are ordered to "clean up" black mesa, because the black mesa incident is the kind of thing that the us military wants to keep hush-hush. so yeah, they are not happy that that happened. so you go around with your squad mates, killing any scientist you see. and the ending is so great! i am not going to tell it though, because that would... Plants vs. Zombies: Game of the Year Edition 10-27-14 08:07 PM	plants vs zombies review! hello, all. welcome to my review of plants vs zombies. i am going to pick this review apart and i will do it justice. i hope you enjoy, here we go. Graphics: 8/10 This game has GREAT graphics. I like how colorful they  are, and all the animations and cute plants and zombies. Even though this game is in 2d, it looks VERY good. Like i said, the graphics are very fun and colorful, and even though it is in 2 dimension. Already this review is starting out good!  Sound: 10/10 I LOVE the sound for this game. i love all the moans and groans from the zombies, the wonderful music, and the just overall sounds. It sounds just right, does not give you headaches like some games do, (that happens to me a lot!) and there are just so many sounds to listen to, lol! The music can be very calm at some points, at others like in the mini-games, it can get you pumped and your heart pulse raising! And all the zombie sounds are so cute! The sounds are so funny and high pitches sometimes, other times there is a low groan from the zombies. and the sounds of the plants and peashooters and stuff shooting, it is really funny!  Addictiveness: 10/10 THIS GAME JUST KEEPS MAKING YOU COME BACK FOR MORE! What with all the fun mini games, and the intuitive game play and design. And the suburban almanac makes it so fun! you encounter a new zombie, then you can read all about him! And there is zen garden, after you beat the game, where you plant plants and keep them happy, and get money to spend in Crazy Dave's shop! And there are so many plants, that in like every 5 levels, it gets more interesting! Story: N/A There really is not any story in this video game. basically, you are this guy, (or gal!) who is names what you choose, holding up for the zombies with very hostile and powerful plants (lol!) just trying not to let the zombies EAT THEIR BRAINS!!!!!!!! Half-Life 10-25-14 11:10 PM	half-life, one of my favorite games for the pc. Alright, today I will be reviewing half-life for the pc. Half-life is a very sophisticated game, and one of my favorites. Will it fare well under the reviewing knife? Read and see! Graphics: 6/10 the graphics are not one of the best parts of this game, sadly. The textures are very rough, and the models are kinda dark and saggy? If that works lol. But it just does not look good, but graphics do not completely make the game, so that is not so bad. Sound: 9/10 the sound in this game is great. The music that plays and gets you pumped during a fast paced part is very fitting! And all the gunshot noises and footsteps are pretty good for the 90's! And don't think I am sweetening the rating cause I love this game, as that 's not the case. And I like the army voice clips when you fight an hecu soldier. Those are cool. I bet if you slowed it down you could understand it better. But yeah, sound is pretty great on this game. Addictiveness: 6/10 this game is not very addictive. You play it. Once, and that is that. It does not make it a boring game, just not very addictive after first go of the game, you know? Because all the twists and excitement is gone, because you played the game once already. But do not let that dissuade you from purchasing this game. Because again, vindictiveness is not everything as long as the game stands up to one play through. Story: 10/10 The story for this game rocks. Basically, you are Gordon Freeman, theoretical physicist, first day of work at black mesa, and you arrived late. (What a screw up lol!) So you ride the tram to your lab, and you hop in to your hev suit. (Hazardous environment something.) And you do an experiment, where you are going to try to open a portal to this other dimension, Xen, and get some samples or something. And there is the slightest possibility of a "resonance cascade" happening, which if this happens, all hell breaks loose. Team Fortress 2 10-23-14 10:23 PM	team fortress review! you cheap pyros! Hello, welcome to my review for team fortress. I am going to review this wonderful gem, (duh!) And pick it apart. Have fun reading. Graphics: 9/10  the graphics for this game, they are spot on. I love the way they went with the graphics. I love how cel-shaded the graphics are, and they look so smooth, and you almost never encounter graphical glitches in this game, which makes it better. And the explosions and special effects are so cheesy and great, as an example, originally, in 2004, they were gonna release this game under team fortress 2: brotherhood of arms or something. And the graphics were awful. Look it up if you like. Sound: 8/10 I really enjoy the sound for this game. All the extensive funny voice clips, explosion sounds, sound effects, they make this game. And it doesn't give you a headache like some other games, and I personally enjoy adding music to the game, which makes it even better, like a big boombox is on the battleground, lolright? Addictiveness: 10/10 this game is SO addictive. Playing online, finding hats, constant updates add a lot to this game. This game will NEVER GET OLD! There is just, so much to do. You could play this for ten years straight and never have it get old. Why do you think so many people have like 1000+ hours on this game, because it will never get old! You can shoot a pyro in the face, laugh at him over voice, camp his spawn and beat him to death with an aluminum baseball bat, call him a nubcake over voice, and listen to him rage because as a pyro he should be the bane of scouts.
