Sonic the Hedgehog
Sonic 1 is an awesome game, from speeding around Green Hill Zone to drowning in Labyrinth hell, it's the best game SEGA decided to make. I ,personally, enjoy the game and constantly play it on Vizzed. I have also tried to beat the record in Green Hill Zone, but I'm not that good.
Graphics {8} They may not be too good on the system, with the sequels improving the graphics, but they were still great for the system back then. Everything was colored to exact color, no messing about with the colors, making it look stupid. Sonic's sprites were good, slightly changed in 2 and greatly changed in 3. The backgrounds were good, with the background moving smoothly, similar to a backdrop in real life. Labyrinth Zone looks like an underground ruin, with vines hanging about and traps waiting to catch Sonic. Starlight is like a highway level with lights, buildings in the background, some still in construction. Overall the graphics were at the best for the game's time.

All in all, Sound is great in this game, yet there is not much to go over here.
Addictiveness {8} This game will make you want to play over and over again. With fun zones, goals, lives, secrets and chaos emeralds to be found. Also you may try to race your friends to see who is the fastest thing alive in Sonic 1. The game is also long, so you will play on and on, trying to foil Dr. Robotnik for the first time. Although, unlike the sequels, the game isn't that much fun after the fi... Read the rest of this Review
