Super Smash Bros. I can't see vizzed getting DS games anytime soon, since they are still created and are nowhere near retro.

Super Metroid

Super Metroid Review
Super Metroid is probably considered by many to be the greatest Metroid game of all time. Of course, that is just peoples opinions, but it isn't hard to tell why it is said often. Super Metroid was the game that defined much of the gameplay features that are still used today.

GRAPHICS: 9
Since Super Metroid was the first one on console since the first game on the NES, it was a HUGE change in graphics. The backgrounds of the worlds are perfect and make it feel like you are actually deep underground on an alien planet. The bosses look epic, and the enemies look awesome.

SOUND: 9
Not only did this game have awesome sound effects, but it had an amazing soundtrack. If this game was never made, we wouldn't have Ridley's signature theme song that has been used in EVERY single battle since. Every alien monster had their own sound effects, which were a sign that they were nearby if you could hear them but couldn't see them.

ADDICTIVENESS: 8
This game has many things for you to do, with it constantly changing so it doesn't get boring or tedious. This makes the game a lot more addicting then some of the other installments in the metroid series.

STORY: 7
Super Metroid had a pretty good story to it. It takes place directly after Metroid II, where Samus discoveres the metroid hatchling. She brings it to a laboratory to hand over to some scientists who want to use its energy for the good of mankind. She gets a distress signal not long after, and discoveres that the Ceres station was attacked by none other then Ridley. Samus's job is to get the Metroid larva back from his grasp.

DEPTH: 10
The world of Zebes is filled with hidden rooms and areas just waiting to be uncovered. You can find hidden spots in walls that can be destroyed, which give access to power-ups or recharge rooms. Each biome has its on types of aliens, usually varients of different monsters around the game. Most have a boss hidden in th... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Gold

Pokemon Gold REVIEW
My last review was on Pokemon Yellow, and in it I talked a lot about Pokemon Gold. I thought it would only fit if I did the next game in the series, so here you go. After I beat Red and Yellow, I discovered the sequel to the games in gamestop, Pokemon Gold. I bought it, and it has turned into my favorite Pokemon game of all time.

Graphics: 9
The graphics are a HUUUGGGE improvement upon the original 3 games. Some of the pokemon used to be really badly sprited and some were even wrong (koffing). Of course, just like Yellow, they improved all of the graphics. Most of the pokemon in this game look like what they do today.

Sound: 9
The music is very memorable. It fits the games theme, which is about folklore and ancient legends, and it even improves upon Kanto's music. I will always remember going in the Ruins of Alph and listening to the Unown song on the radio. Very creepy, but it makes it even more interesting.

Addictiveness: 8
This game was a lot more fun to me than both Red and Yellow. There were so many more places to explore, and so many more pokemon to catch. The fact that there are two regions that both have hidden secrets makes this game have a very high replay value. That means that even after beating it, you can continue playing it without getting extremely bored.

Story: 8
The story takes place a few years after Red and Blue, after team rocket has been defeated. Of course, they never give up, and start to show up again. You have to destroy Team Rocket once and for all, while also trying to become a Pokemon Master.

Depth: 10
This game has many places to go, and has so many more pokemon in it. This makes it have much more depth than the original games, because you have to travel around the world trying to catch pokemon, instead of just 1 region.

Overall: 10
I am giving this a ten because it is my favorite Pokemon game to date. I think it is a huge accomplishment fro... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Yellow

Pokemon Yellow Review
The pokemon series is one of my favorite video game series of all time, second only to metroid. I have been playing it for as long as I can remember, and it always reminds me of my childhood.

Graphics: 8
Pokemon games are the most popular games on the game boy without a doubt. One of the things that makes the games enjoyable is the graphics. In Red and Blue, the graphics are good, but some of the sprites are wrong and are hard to decipher what they are. In Yellow, however, they fixed a lot of the sprites, improving the game even more.

Sound: 9
The music in this game is great. If you have ever played a pokemon game, you have probably gotten a song from it stuck in your head multiple times. Whether it be Viridian City's theme, or Route 1, the songs are very memorable. There is also the creepy-ass Lavender Town theme, which really fits the mood of the town (hence it being basically a giant graveyard).

Addictiveness: 7
I can play this game all day, but it isn't the kind of game that sucks you in and won't let you escape from its grasp when you start it up. It gets boring training your pokemon after a while, so you might save the game and set it down to play later.

Story: 7
Unlike most pokemon remakes (Crystal, Emerald, Platinum), this game really doesn't change the story much at all from Red and Blue. The only difference I can see is that you start with a pikachu, and your rival starts with an Eevee. There are also pokemon that aren't obtainable in the other games, like the 3 original starters are all able to get in one game.

Depth: 9
The world of Kanto is huge, with many places to explore. The caves are like mazes, with lots of stuff to discover every time you go in them. If you look around enough, you can catch rare legendary pokemon like Arcticuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo. They are normally found in the depths of caves, which are filled with strong pokemon. The towns are fun to look ... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Chaos Black

POKEMON: Chaos Black (Hack) Review
Years ago, before I knew that Vizzed existed, I saw a video on Youtube about a game called Chaos Black. I watched more of it and thought it was a cool looking game, but I didn't know how to play it. Years later, I discovered it on vizzed, and it was the second game I played on here (I played Red version first). Then I realized, it wasn't what I thought it would be.

Graphics: 7
This game is a hacked version of Fire Red, and features Pokemon that don't exist outside of this game. They are homemade, and they all have their own graphics. While I think this is cool, a lot of the graphics are messed up and glitchy, or not a correct scale. I feel the maker could have put more time into making them.

Sound: 9
All the music from the original game is featured, and some of the custom Pokemon have their own cries that the maker created themselves. I think that this deserves a high rating, as it must of taken a long time to create the noises.

Addictiveness: 6
This game isn't that bad, but it is obviously incomplete, which is shown by the fact that lots of the graphics are glitchy and the game ends at Mt Moon. Still, I think it is a fun game to demonstrate the ability to hack ROMS, and sets a standard for people who want to make their own hacks.

Story: 5
The maker created their own story for this game, which replaces the intro in the beginning right before Proffesor Oak appears on the screen. It seems interesting, but the story doesn't apply to the game at all. This probably was going to be changed, but the gaame was never fully completed.

Depth: 5
Like I have said multiple times, the game is nowhere near complete, so it doesn't offer much. Its more of a game that someone made when they were learning to hack pokemon games.

Overall: 7
I think whoever created the game is good at hacking them and adding new content, but the game definitely needs improvement. I think that somebody should take a rom of ... Read the rest of this Review

Flicky Review (Sega Genesis)
NOTE: If you have never played this game, play it NOW. You are missing out.

Years ago, when I was little, I went shopping with my mom at Wal-Mart. I found this box laying on the floor in the toy section, and it was a Plug n play game. It consisted of 6 Sega Genesis games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, Dr. Robotnic's Mean Bean Machine and Flicky. I bought it, started it up, and played the games all day. I tried the games in order of how they are listed, and Flicky was last. It may be childish, but I still love it.

GRAPHICS: 8

Of course, the Sega Genesis didn't have super advanced graphics, but you can still manage to make out everything that's on the screen. You can tell the difference between the chicks with and without glasses, what the enemies are, and the words on screen.

SOUND: 9

The music is great! The songs are repetitive but catchy enough so that you won't get annoyed by them. The jump sounds resemble a bird tweeting, which makes sense since the main character is a bird. The enemies don't make any noise, but you will hardly notice. The music in the bonus rounds has got to be my favorite, I don't know why, I just always liked it and still do.

ADDICTIVENESS: 10

I still play this game a lot, I don't care if someone thinks it is for little kids, it is still fun. There are plenty of levels so you will keep playing until you give up or win, and always are trying to improve your high score to get extra lives. It's very satisfying to throw a plant at a cat and knock out two at the same time, you just fell like saying AWWWWWWWWW YEEAAAAAAAAAH. And just when you start to get bored, a bonus level comes on where you have to catch the falling birds in a net. This game just never gets old.

STORY: 3
There isn't much to say about the story, it seems like it is about a mother bird trying to save her babie... Read the rest of this Review
