Mappy: My 3rd Review
Ah, Mappy. This is the very first game I have ever played. I played it when I was like 6 or 7 on the JAKKS Pacific. Heck, I still have the Plug & Play for it. This game is really fun. Mappy is a game where you play as a police mouse and you have to retrieve the stolen treasure. The game was a charm for me when I played it again on MAME.

Graphics
Many games on the arcade did not have understandable graphics back in the early 80s. However, Namco games were games with quite good graphics for its time, and Mappy was not an exception. That is why I give it a 9.

Sound
Oh.. The music.. How I loved that music. The music was great, especially for its time since most arcade games had no music. I don't have much more to say about it, but it deserves a 10.

Addictiveness
This game is addicting, has endless gameplay, and a great family game for competition. There are 16 different possible level designs, looping infinitely. Competing for the highest score is better while trying to collect the items in order for increased difficulty, but higher scores.

Story
The story is simple but entertaining. Mappy, the police mouse discovers many, many houses with stolen goods. The cat boss (GORO), has the "cat burglars" (MEWKIES) steal goods. Mappy has to get all the stolen items without being killed. Pretty good story for an Arcade game, so I give it an 8.

Depth
This game takes approx. 3 hours to go through 256 levels (16 loops of every level design), and after 256 you go back to level 1 again. Three hours makes a pretty good time for an arcade game. Technically, however, this game is endless. For depth, I give a 9.

Difficulty
The game is not difficult.. at first. However, at level 10 and on, levels get really hard. I give the difficulty factor a rating of 6.

Overall - 9.2/10

The game is really fun, addicting, but the levels are a little bland. This was my review for Mappy. Ciao!
Pokemon Red

The game that started it all...
Pok?mon Red and Blue are the first Pok?mon games. Pok?mon is a series where you battle creatures with your own creatures. In Pok?mon Red and Blue, you are an eleven year old boy from Pallet Town named Red and Professor Oak wants to see you. You try to go out without a Pok?mon and the legendary professor appears and gives you a starter. After this you go on a journey to get all the 8 gym badges and beat the Elite Four.

Graphics

These are the standard of Game Boy Graphics. Although.. some back sprites for Pok?mon look horrible like Vaporeon, Venusaur and many others. Although a great game, the graphics are average. Poke Centers and Marts are just square buildings with the word "Poke" for the center or "Mart" for the Mart. It's not that bad though as many other Pok?mon games do this. Great game, average graphics. I give this a 7.

Sound

The music is "music" to my ears, because the music composer did a really good job with the music. There is Route Music and Town Music. My favorite music are Trainer Battle and Champion battle. The field music is happy while the battle music gives you adrenaline and makes you ready for battling. For sound I give a 10.

Addictiveness

Pok?mon Red is a really addicting game with many trainers you can fight. It makes you go like "just one more battle and I'll level up". Since the max level is 100, it takes a while to level up and fans love to grind in the tall grass. There are many towns and places you can go. There are also the legendaries Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres and Mewtwo. The only bad thing is you can't find Mew. I give this a 9.

Story

This is a well done story reused in other Pok?mon games. The story is your a kid from Pallet Town who was chosen to get a Pok?mon by Professor Oak. You go on a long journey to Catch em all! Catch all 150 (151 if you count Mew) Pok?mon. You fight the 8 gym leaders and then go to the Pok?mon League to fight the Elite Four and then b... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Diamond

A pirated, horribly translated game
NOTE: This is my first review, please don't hate.

Pokémon has been around since 1995 (1998 in U.S) with the first games being Red and Blue on the Gameboy. Around the time of Gold and Silver,  A pirated version of Keitai Denjuu Telefang Power Version, called Pokémon Diamond, was used by pirates on eBay to trick people into thinking these are legit Pokémon games. In fact, the back of the box art is copied of Gold/Silver.

The graphics are just like any other Pokémon game, they most resemble the Generation II games. There isn't much to explain about the graphics other than it's mostly copied of G/S/C. The only thing is the color palettes are glitched because the official logos were removed. Because of that, I give it a 4.

For the sound, it sounds like a NES to be honest. Some of the music is really annoying and I just don't like it. There's not much to say.. I rate this a 3.

This game would be a little bit addicting if it didn't have so many game-breaking glitches. For example saving is broken and when you select Continue, the game would freeze. This also happens when you try to open items menu when you have no items, and the game crashes when you get a Game Over. This is obviously like a 2.

The story makes no sense. First there's a baseball... then there is a random tree and then they just warp to a different world of "electric monster". The translation errors make it hard to understand, because the game was translated to Japanese to Chinese, then from Chinese to English. I rate this a 5.

The depth is not very much, all you do is walk around and get monster's phone numbers (?) and then they fight. But if they run out of HP they leave for good and you have to get more. I rate this a 4.

This game is hard to play. I don't even know what to do in the beginning because I can't go anywhere, it says "you need permission from someone". I looked all around and found nothing. This game is har... Read the rest of this Review
