Ninja Warriors, The 12-14-14 08:20 PM

Oh the classics
The Ninjawarriors is one of those great SNES classics that not very many people know about but should. I remember being about 7 or 8 years old playing this all the time. It would be this or Tetris Attack, which back then I wasn't very good at ha ha. It's your basic side-scrolling fighter game with a lot of replay value. I've played it a few times on here since I've joined and haven't been let down.
Graphics I would say the graphics for this game are quite spectacular compared to many SNES games. I feel like there was so much attention to detail put into this game. Shading was used quite effectively in the foreground of the game. While the background doesn't offer much by not changing as you move through a stage, it still creates enough of a variety as the foreground is always changing. I think where you see the height in the graphics is during some of the boss battles. The first boss battle really sets the tone for the rest of the game.
Sounds I really like the soundtrack for the game. Some of the later stages have some great music in them especially the final stage. It's very eerie and creepy which adds a certain amount of suspense to it. One nice thing with boss battles is that they make sure that the music has a nice injection of energy into to really get you into the mood of defeating the bosses. When a boss battle lingers on the music can really add to the situation. With that being said, my favorite bit of music in the game is during the credit roll. It doesn't really glorify you as a hero that saved millions, it is a bit understated and gives you a sense of humility which I think is important, even if you do self-destruct in the end ha ha.
Addictiveness Why else do we end up on this site? We love to play the games we were addicted to when we were younger, as well as finding new ones. This game, for me, was definitely one that ... Read the rest of this Review
