Zelda 1 - Born of a Legend (demo)

ZELDA!!!... But not really...
I'm gonna review ZELDA!!!! No not really. I'm reviewing some kind of hacked Zelda or something. Spoiler alert, it has nothing to do with Zelda. Well, besides the name, enemies, characters and all that stuff. But to the actual review!

Title Screen
You turn the game on and are greeted by a beau.... OH JEEZ WHAT ON EARTH HAPPENED?? It looks like the Game Graphic Glitch Gremlin got into the game already! That isn't a good sign. But hey, some great games had bad title screens! Like... like uh.... that one game... and the guy... with no hair... and then he got the sword with the hair.... and umm.... his hair came back....? Ok I got nothing.

Starting Off The Game
As soon as you start the game you realize that the graphics were ripped right from Link's Awakening. Then, you go into some little cave/house place. And hey, the Old Man is in there! That's a good sign! Hopefully.... And then some text comes up. It's in another language though. Wait why is some of the game English, and some... Whatever the heck that language is?? Couldn't they just keep it one language? Like when you die, the first word (Which is continue in English) is in some other language! Below that, it says "Save" all in English. Below Save, it says something in a different language! I mean, come on! You couldn't keep one language? You just had to combine two languages?? Why the heck was that necessary?? But anyway, the Old Man gives you the sword. Oh wait... He gives you a boomerang... A BOOMERANG?? THAT'S NOT EVEN A WEAPON! The boomerang can't kill anything! You need to walk all the way to the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE WORLD WITHOUT KILLING A SINGLE MONSTER. And each screen has like, 5 guys! How do you do that? This is where most sane people would just give up. I guess I'm insane because I walked all the way across the world without a weapon. I wish the game had a death counter just so I could see how many times I died.

The First Dungeon

Awful Mario Clone
This is so bad. the graphics are so terrible and so is the sound. They both are just sooo TERRIBLE! There is literally no story. The only difficulty in the game comes from two things. The first thing is just because I want to stop playing so I murder myself. Second, the screen moves slowly and awkwardly. Mario, I mean "Super Boy" jumps and moves SO slowly. He seems like he has no gravity too. He jumps and stays in there air for a while and starts slowly floating down. Sometimes, if you fall off a cliff, you just stand there, stuck in a hole not having any way to get out unless you just turn off the game. Which is exactly what I did. I probably won't ever turn it back on.
Zelda - Ocarina of Time - Master Quest

Ocarina of Time: Master Quest Review
It's like Ocarina of Time! But for masters.

The graphics and sounds were great. The graphics were the same as Ocarina of Time (I don't remember anything looking different from Ocarina of Time.) and Ocarina's graphics were really nice. The sound and music are really good too. The music and sounds are the same as Ocarina also.

It is VERY addictive. It may have even been more addictive than Ocarina of Time. I kept dying but I wouldn't stop trying! Usually when I play a hard game, I can't stop trying. Just like Flappy Bird.

The story is great. It's the same as Ocarina of Time. You have to get the three gems to get the Master Sword so you can go to the future and kill Ganon. It is a good story and has much more in the actual game. I just shortened it because no one feels like spending all day reading about a game that almost everyone has played.

The game is very big. The world size is the same as Ocarina of Time but the world is different. The different places are in different areas. The game takes... hmm... maybe 5 hours to beat? The difficulty makes the game harder. Even playing Ocarina of Time doesn't help too much because everything is in different places.

The difficulty is what makes the game different. IT'S HARD! Very hard! That's all to say about it.
Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past

A Great Game
This game is great! I don't like it as much as some other Legend of Zelda titles but I still really enjoy the game! It is a classic and has great sound and graphics for the SNES although I think they could have been a bit better. The music is really nice although occasionally the sounds can sound a little... bad. Most sounds are very good although not all of them are. The graphics are pretty nice too. They probably could have been a little better though.

The story is great. It really explains a lot of things in other Zelda games that I didn't entirely understand. It also gives Ganon, the main villain in the series, some story. In previous titles he was just a big monster that kidnapped Zelda and tried to steal the Triforce. In A Link to the Past, he was described still as a beast, but it explained that he was once a man and he is also more like a human. He isn't just a mindless beast. He's a talking beast. Well at least I'm pretty sure he talks. The story also talks about the Dark World and the Triforce. For those of you who don't know about the Triforce, it is three golden triangles that have ultimate powers. There is a Triforce of Wisdom, a Triforce of Courage, and finally, the Triforce of Power. Princess Zelda owns the Triforce of Wisdom, Link has Courage, and Ganon, or Ganondorf, has Power.

The game's world is very large. Actually, it has two worlds. I think they are both the same size. Newer games have larger worlds but the SNES wasn't capable of incredibly large worlds, like Skyrim's, so this was huge compared to most other games from that time.

The game is a little tough. It's a little easier than the original Zelda. There isn't much to say about the difficulty. It's a good level of difficulty. If you like to play easy games, this isn't for you. Also, if you like to play incredibly impossible games, it also isn't for you.

The game is not as addictive as the original Zelda. In this installment, I didn't pla... Read the rest of this Review
Legend of Zelda, The

AMAZING!
I love the game! It is AMAZING! It's a classic! It has great graphics and sound for its time. It is a lot of fun and its world was massive for a game from the 80's. The game is also pretty tough although it isn't so hard that I just want to rage quit. It's the perfect difficulty level! The game takes time to beat (I've actually never beat it.) and even when you beat the game there are secrets to find and I am pretty sure there is also a second quest. I would highly recommend the Legend of Zelda to anyone.
