Retro City Rampage 10-27-13 05:17 AM |
Classic Grand Theft Auto Action Introduction: This game is basically a classic arcade styled grand theft auto which is uupdated frequently, the game offers hours of fun, missions to do, guns to shoot, and a range of?vehicles?to explore the city in. Graphics: Not a lot can be said about the graphics but they are pretty amazing for a Arcade game, as it has a new look to the retro kind of style, Yes the graphics do still fit into a retro/arcade genre but are really uupdated from when the game was first ever released to make it fit the era of the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and even the PC. The graphics defiantly don't ruin the game as they look rather nice and if your looking for a bit of?nostalgia for these retro graphics this game may be for you. Sound: The sound of the game is also fantastic, with classic sounding retro music and the sound effects of the guns and cars, again the sound has defiantly improved from when the game was first released but the sound of this game can defiantly make it more enjoyable for you If you like the sound of 80's/90's Retro music. Addictiveness:? Though this game offers hours of fun and a open world area the game can become bland after awhile, when playing through the story mode the game can be extremely fun but once it's finished there really isn't that much to do, Yes you may be able to free roam but there isn't really much to do when free roaming, it's pretty similar to Grand Theft Auto III once you finish the main storyline the only thing left to offer is finding collectibles or going on a extremely big crime spree which of course will also get boring. So this may be one of the downsides from purchasing this game, nothing to do when you have fought through the story mode area. Story: *May Contain Spoilers* You take the role of "player" a hired thug in the city of Theftropolis who decides to work for a huge crime syndicate, led by jester, as the player you must travel back in time with "Doc Choc" (Back to the fu... Not what I was expecting When this game was first advertised I was expecting big things, yes it may be only a XBLA title but I was expecting better. The game lacks in many things, the story was good however but the game in general was pretty bland, when advertised it shown more of a survival side of it but once it was released most of that kind of got thrown at the window, you will just find yourself climbing up loads of things to discover nothing and even the climbing was pretty bad as it takes up a lot of stamina which can become a problem due to the lack of resources that can be found-- I played half way through Normal difficulty then soon gave up due to it seeming quite impossible for me. You could try walking round to discover whatever you can but will soon lose health from the nuclear surrounding, so you get a gas mask but the same thing happens as if Ubisoft just added it for show. The game however does have some pretty good graphics which may be one of the only big plus sides along with the story, and the sound isn't too bad either. Ubisoft really have let themselves down with this game as it did not live up to it's expectations. The game also has a pretty strange retry system, when the game first came out let's say you only had a quarter of your health left and no stamina items to use, you die then use a retry then suddenly you would have full health again with stamina items even though you would spawn in the same place you was just before you died. The game sometimes wouldn't take away a retry if you died as I died twice but still said I had three retries, but when I died again it made it clear I had none left thus meaning I had to re-load from the last save, I'm not sure if this was just a problem for me or a serious error on behalf of Ubisoft. So if your ever on the XBOX live marketplace looking for a fun, enjoyable game I would avoid this due to it being pretty buggy and crashes pretty often during game play and loading screens. But if you real... Read the rest of this Review |

I'm suprised Okay, I'm surprised, I never expected the Game boy version to be so similar to the PS2 version of Driver 3, And that's not a bad thing. I had many fun hours with this game on PlayStation and many more fun hours on the Game boy, this is by far the greatest driver game in the driver game franchise, Not only does it offer different locations to go to, it's fully explicable, If your looking to be able to go into shops and buy things this game is not for you, But if your looking to just explore the area or go on a huge police chase then this game is a Must have! |

The greatest game ever I used to play this game constantly on my fathers dream cast, and it is undoubtedly the greatest game to EVER of been made, and I would suggest it to any SEGA fan, or just any gaming fan out there, it offers hours of game play with a outstanding story along with it, this game has everything any gamer would want, and if your also looking for a few good fighting games, you might as well buy this as well, this game offers a great combat system which can really make many modern games look bad. This is a MUST buy game no matter how old it is. |
