Charlie506's Last Game Reviews |
Star Wars (Namco) (english translation) 05-18-14 09:07 AM |
Star Wars (Namcot) This is my 4th review. My last one was Contra for the Game boy, be sure to check out that one. I LOVE Star Wars, I watched all 6 episodes, in my opinion, I loved every one of them. Star Wars has been my life so far. But this game,.. no, just no. Let's start with graphics, Luke and R2 look alright at the start, but when the Jawa's steal R2 and Luke comes out, he has BLACK HAIR. I thought that was Obi-Wan, but I did my research and that is Luke. He was able to have blonde hair at the start, why not in the gameplay? Ugh, whatever. Jawa's look sort of like Jawa's, Tatooine looks sort of like Tatooine, I don't really care. 7/10. Oh wait, when you get to the thingy, you face Darth Vader, and when you defeat him, he turns in to a scorpion. What the heck. Next is sound, you get the same loop over and over again. It's that first Star Wars music, I don't what it's called, and I don't really care. You can only get different music at the last stage that I did not get to. It's better than Jekyll and Hyde. 6/10 Addictiveness There's a chance that I may never come back to this game. It's so boring. Sometimes when I play again, I turn it off. 4/10. Story The Story is weird. It says in the description that Luke joins the Rebellion against the Empire. But the first scene says "Luke, save me! My FRIENDS have been kidnapped by the Empire!" I have no words. 6/10. Depth There's 3 things you can do. There's 2D stages, an annoying 3D flying stage, and the Death Star stage. I couldn't make it to the Death Star stage, so I'll give this a 5/10. Difficulty This game is HARD. One hit deaths,no continues, an un-use-able lightsaber, (it works though,) and a lot of fall to deaths. I can only make it to the 3rd stage. There's some useful force powers, but they don't last long. Overall 7.4 |
Contra 05-18-14 08:33 AM |
Pew pew! Contra (gb) Hello guys! This is my 3rd review, I reviewed Contra for the NES and GTA for GBA. Those were just short sentences, like good sound! Or lots of stages! This review I'll put my opinion to it. Let's go! Let's start with the graphics, The Game boy has black and white graphics, or black and green. I thought the Game Gear was better because it had color. But I was wrong, the Game Boy was awesome. It had awesome games like SML, Tetris, Metroid, and Contra. It had the same graphics as the NES version, but with the 2 colors. And the Game boy was in it's early years, so I'll give it a 7/10. Next is sound, in the first stage, you get the same music from the original, actually I think all were the same music from the NES version. Just in a portable Game boy style. Also I heard there's a cheat code to get more awesome music. I love the Contra soundtrack, so I'll give this a 9/10. Addictiveness! There's a chance I'm coming back to this game. It gets so addictive when you get the spray gun. You can shoot everything in your sight. It's a perfect example of a shooting scroller. Since I'm coming back to this game again, I'll give it a 9/10. Depth It has hard 2D stages, to keep me going. It has 5 levels. It also has an overhead stage. I'll give this a 4/10. Finally is difficulty, This game is easier than the Contra for the NES, there's less people coming at you, less things shooting at you, and when you have the spray gun you're unstoppable. It's not that easy either, so I'll give this a 7/10. Overall 9/10. It's not as good as the Contra for the NES, but it's still a great game. |

Contra review! I love Contra. Just love it. Every hardcore gamer loves it, can't argue with that. When someone says, "what is a good 2D side scrolling shooter?" I'll say Contra. Graphics ~ 9 The graphics were awesome at the time, no two levels look alike, except the 3D ones. Sound ~ 10 The music is stupidly fantastic. My headphones go on full volume. When you die, it makes this static noise. Awesome. Addictiveness ~ 8 I'll come back to Contra any day. I half to admit that. Story ~ 5 You're a guy named Bill Riser trying to defeat the Red Falcon and save the world. Depth ~ 7 3D stages, 2D stages , 8 hard levels, I think there's overhead stages. Difficulty ~ 8 Every time I half to use the 30 live code. That's sad, right? This game isn't easy, it's not hard either. Overall ~ 9.7 |
Grand Theft Auto Advance 05-17-14 09:56 AM |
GTA Advance review Okay, this is my first *successful* review. My real first one was locked, because it had less than 100 words. My favorite Grand Theft Auto game was San Andreas or GTA IV. Okay, so let's get it started! Graphics ~ 8 For a 32X portable console, it's pretty awesome. If your new to video games, or if you play "bro games" like GTA V, you might think there's ants all over the screen. Seriously, someone said that to me. It's overhead, like the rest of the early GTA games. Sound ~ 7 No music, (duh.) There's police car sirens, murmurs, gunfire, explosions, whatever what you'll see in a GTA game. Addictiveness ~ 7 I don't play the game anymore, but the first time I played it, I went on and on and on coming back to this game. Story ~ 8 The story is sort of like GTA IV, you're a guy with guns with a lot of personality. Depth ~ 9 Of course there's a lot of depth! It's GTA! A city! Lots you can do! Difficulty ~ 4 It's not that hard, but there's a part when I'm in a six star chase (I think) trying to escape the cops. I can't pass that part. |
