Dragon Warrior

Oldie but still a goodie
What can be said about Dragon Warrior that hasn't already been said?  It was the first RPG I ever played on my NES.  I didn't own the game, but had borrowed it from a friend that never played it.  They didn't like the lack of fast paced action.  It helped to fuel that fire in me that I had from playing table top D & D.  I remember the first time I beat a gold golem and got that lovely gold.  I hunted those things like a mad man.  Had a nice stash of cash for shopping after that.  I had a lot of fun playing this game.  I am glad to have found it here on Vizzed.
Mega Man

Love this game
The one and only game I ever got for making honor roll in high school.  I had a deal with my parents that every time I got on the honor roll; I could get a new game.  Made it one time.  And I picked Mega Man over all the other games at the time because I had no idea what it was about.  And I played through it until I got to the Wily stages.  Now, the instruction manuals at the time were not really forthcoming with information.  I had beaten every mini boss with my mega buster ONLY.  You couldn't even charge it in this one.  It took me a long time, but I had done it.  I never realized you could switch up the weapons in the sub menu.  I got so frustrated playing the first boss of Wily that I gave up and traded it to a friend for Zelda.  They then told me about switching weapons.  And how they beat the game.  Now, back then I also kept track of what games I beat on Nintendo.  And I had beaten Zelda on both worlds already, so I begged them to trade back with me.  And once I realized I could switch weapons, I dominated Wily and his crew.  Why?  Because I had gotten extremely good with my jumping and the such due to only using the mega buster all those times to defeat bosses.  I love this game more than I should.  It frustrates me to no end, but I never give up and just keep on keeping on.  My favorite game series after Final Fantasy.

Love the game
One of the first FPS I ever played and fell in love with it.  Thoroughly enjoyable!  The story is engaging and made me want to see it through to the end.  The quips and quirks of the NPCs make me want to replay it quite a bit.  Especially when you destroy all the wine in the cellar and you get yelled at for it.  Some things are annoying.  The targeting system overall could use some work, but it's not a game breaker in my opinion.  I enjoyed the option of turning blood off and using the "paintball" system to lower the level of violence.  Thanks for having it here!
