Pokémon Emerald: My Favorite PKMN Game
Pokémon Emerald is my favorite game in the whole Pokémon franchise. It came out with 135 new Pokémon and gave us some options for after the game, or when you don't feel like continuing with the story. It's a nice start into the Pokémon games with a cool story, decent graphics, and colorful characters. The game's story provides up to a week of game play, and the post game makes for an even longer experience with contests, the Pokédex, and Pokémon raising. Now, this generation of Pokémon had some pretty sweet graphics compared to the last two. It had some more color, detail, and depth. However, compared to other Game Boy Advance games, this could have been more animated and more scenic. The battle arenas are just two floating circles in front of a one color background. For graphics, Pokémon Emerald gets a 9.
Sound
This game's music is mostly trumpets, and I think it sounds beautiful. Generation III made the best soundtrack in my opinion. I mean have you heard Deoxys's theme, Mewtwo's theme, the Hoenn Elite Four theme, and the Regis' theme? Freakin' sweet. Also, the new Pokémon's cries sound much more realistic than in the previous two generations'. The same can be said for the music. Even th... Read the rest of this Review
