Pokemon Ruby Destiny - Life of Guardians

Greatest of the Ruby Destiny Series
Alright, this will be my review for Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Life of Guardians. In my opinion, this is the BEST of the Ruby Destiny Series as the storyline gets the most intense.

In terms of Graphics, I give this game a 9. The reason why I put it so high is because the creator (destinedjagold) hacked the game a LOT and it still looks extremely well put together. Aside from the few bugs and glitches, this game might, in my opinion, be on the borderlines of an actual game (that is to say if it was finished).

The music from this game is very different from that of a pokemon game. In fact, usually in hacks, the creators tend to not mess around with the music at all. Well not this dude, he has added music from other games and tied them into this hack. I believe he had to go through a few test runs before he could get the music sound to balance out evenly with the sounds of attacks, options, etc.

Addictiveness is a 10. The storyline is just so intense and unexpected. Once you get going, it can be hard to stop.

Story is another 10. The plot is basically about the protagonist's mother wanting to send their child to school known as Hevah Academy. Along the way, you pick up pokemon and meet new rivals around every corner. Before you're able to take a quick nap in your dorm, the Academy is under attack. You are forced, along with the other students, to evacuate the building via secret tunnel/ cave. You go home where your worried mother sits their trying to tell you that you aren't allowed to go on a pokemon journey. Your aunt convinces her otherwise, and you start the journey similar that of a normal pokemon game. You find a lot of clues as you investigate the disappearances of the teachers and what these new organizations want in the region. You get to meet a few new fakemon, but not too many (I usually hate fakemon because they're slapped together and look like crap). Good thing with this hack is that there aren't too many o... Pokemon Red Review
This is the review for Pokemon Red for the Game Boy Color (in case you didn't read it up there). I wanted something classical to play, and I've actually never played this game before. I just jumped straight into the Yellow game. I've heard that this one was better, and it was because I've never played it I wanted to try something new.

For the  graphics, I give them an 8 because it's pretty much the beginning of all pokemon games and a natural classic. I've seen a LOT worse graphics for this system, and overall, I'd say that the graphics are some of the best that I've seen (on this system).

In terms of the game's music, I like it a lot. It's pretty much all of the old school pokemon music. You may have heard bits and pieces of it from other pokemon games (like Pokemon Stadium 1 + 2). Sound quality does pretty good, as the music has a crisp and clean feeling to it. In other words, it isn't short and choppy like some other games that I know of.

The addictiveness is an absolute 10. Isn't too difficult and the gameplay and storyline flows together really well.

The storyline is similar to that of most games; all you do is pretty much beat gyms and take down the elite four. I'm playing this game as Red from the Adventures to make it more fun and challenging. So far, everything has been pretty easy and I'm about to take on my 3rd gym leader. All I've got with me is an Ivysaur and a Pikauchu- both are lvl. 30.

I gave the depth an 8 because it isn't a game in which you can just blow through and be done within the first one or two days (although it may be possible). You have to actually apply yourself a bit in a couple of parts in the story- mainly with the gym leaders. It may also take some time to do extra training before taking on the Elite Four. You definitely want to make sure that you've got a well balanced team, but you don't need to pull out anything too serious :P

As far as d... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Yellow

Ah yes, The Classical Pikachu
This is a very great game, and those who haven't played this game yet should play it RIGHT AWAY!

Although the graphics aren't the same as the ones used in Black and White, Pokemon Yellow has a bit of addictive quality to it that makes you want to play all day. Most of the story is actually in a way similar to Pokemon Ash Gray in terms of Team Rocket, starting with Pikachu, and able to acquire all starters.

Something that makes this game both unique, and ironic is the fact that Pikachu DOES NOT EVOLVE!!

The difference to the pikachu on this game, and the one on Heartgold/SoulSilver is that it shows way more emotion in this game. Most of the things in HS/SS is basically random 8 times out of 10 whereas the pika in this game does things that actually relate to the area, its status conditions, etc.

If you're ever bored and think of a pokemon game that you want to ever replay, Pokemon Yellow is the game for you. It never gets old, so it doesn't matter if you've played it once, or 300 times you'll have the same happy feeling and addictiveness every time.
In my opinion, this should've been the FIRST Pokemon game that you've ever played. So I'd recommend this for anybody that doesn't  know much about Pokemon or needs a start.

Pokemon Ruby Destiny Life of Guardians
This is a really good hack... In fact, It may even be longer then some actual pokemon games... it provides an adventure that Nintendo would probably NEVER have come up with. There aren't that many fakemon, and the few that they have look really good. I found it interesting how in the beginning, you have to go through a semi-long forest several times..... I think that could've been improved, but overall, it is a really great game. I hope that everyone else agrees with me as well. Pokemon Ruby Destiny Life of Guardians may even be my most favorite hack of the ruby destiny series. Not many hacks have as much flow with the story as this one does. Many different hackers should review this game if they hope to make a good hack like this one. There are a lot of twist, and turns in the story.... Unpredictable outcomes occur often as well.
