Pokemon Light Platinum

Pokemon Light Platinum review
Summary:
Pokémon Light Platinum is a game any Pokémon lover would enjoy playing. This game has everything a fan would love and even more than we may have ever imagined possible. The only feature this game is really missing is a spectacular 3D feature but that's not until the upcoming Pokémon X and Y. You start as the rest of Pokémon games, set the clock. Although the journey to getting your first Pokémon is different, instead of walking in the lab or saving the professor its almost as if a test battle persay. Its a very enjoyable experience since Nintendo doesn't differ much in the beginning of the game or the set plot of the entire game at all. Now for details.

Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in Light Platinum are well done and are a piece of work. Some Pokémon have new sprites and are very well done almost as if done by Nintendo/Gamefreak themselves. The dimension given to this game are also something to brag about. This game, even though being a hack of the 2D ruby, is in a 3D view of the world. Not everything is 3D but for the most part it makes you happy and reminds you of Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum.

Sound: 8/10
The sound in this game, to me, is a step up from the music in other Pokémon games. At least it doesn't annoy me as quickly. Then again I don't really listen to the music or sounds of the game because it is usually muted so my judgement on this is only, in all actuality, of the sound in the first minute of playing. Even though I do not listen to it for long I would expect it to be as the rest of the game and be fine. That is why this is only a 8 because I don't use it but it is not much lower, that way I don't give you a bad idea before playing. This way you just expect it to be the average Pokémon music you hear in the background.

Addictiveness: 9/10

Pokemon Emerald

Review on Pokemon Emerald
Pokémon emerald is just your average Pokémon game. It is based in the Hoenn region of the Pokémon world and your three starters are Torchic, the fie type Pokémon, Treeko, the grass type, and Mudkip, the water type Pokémon. It is the same as all other Pokémon games you wake you from a sleep and decide its time to adventure. Although the twist in this is you don't go to the lab to choose your starter, instead you help the professor from being attacked by a Zigzagoon. You choose your Pokémon and help him. Then you get your first Pokémon. The game itself is a quality game and worth playing and in the time was definitely a step forward in the Pokémon series. Overall this game is in my medium high rated games at a strong 8.6

Graphics:
The graphics in this game are not as good in coliseum but for a handheld game the graphics are spot on. While playing I did not experience any lagging in the game and all of the cut scenes were smooth and clear cut. The moves your Pokémon will perform work perfectly and every move works the way it should. No lagging, no glitching, no weird mishaps you may encounter else where. This game still has the special evolving scene which is very nice. It adds a aspect to the game of accomplishment knowing you raised that Pokémon to what they are now.

Sound:
This game was a increase from the old games when it comes to sounds and music and the repetitive "doot doot" when you enter a poke center or just randomly walking through the forest. The game is still your 16 bits and takes getting use to because the game does not have a mute option with in the options. So when wanting to listen to music good luck because you have to mute your computer or listen to this cheap Nintendo music. But these sounds also are good when it comes to the level up noise and the noise you hear when you find an item or anything of that na... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Emerald 386

Emerald 386 Review
The following review is written by Malkin77:

Emerald 386 is overall a very well hacked version of the original Emerald Pokémon game. The idea of placing all Pokémon from generations I through III was a brilliant idea I'm sure many would agree with. The developer when making this also made all of the trainers stronger by several levels than they were in the original game. Example: your first battle with your rival, the Pokémon is lv.5 but in this, it is lv.7. However there is only one flaw myself and my fellow gamers have encountered. That being that the tickets the developer placed in the game that take you to battle deoxys, jirachi, and mew, which you purchase at Lilycove City for 60,000 poke, seem to have not been coded correctly and do not work properly to everyone for some odd reason. The game when first released was used as a competition for a month to see who could capture as many of the 386 Pokémon the fastest. No one captured all of them. So with that being said lets move on the specific areas.

Graphics:
The graphics in this game are as good as any game released in the mid 2000's for a handheld system. Good, but not as great as they could be here in 2013. To me the graphics for this game for its time were perfect and nothing to complain about. I would have given it a 10 if a few of the Pokémon I noticed while playing, had a thin line around them from where you could tell they did not belong in the game and were from a different generation. A line almost looking as if photoshopped into the game. Other then this one mishap graphics are as spot on as they should be.

Sound:
The sound in this game is just as it should be. The same as it would if you were playing on a DS, but with that it means it is the original 16-bit music that when you first start playing you are excited about, but then start to realize i... Read the rest of this Review
