Aladdin

Aladdin
I'm gonna be honest, I haven't seen the Aladdin movie in forever. But I did play the game a lot. So I guess I can give an opinion on that.

So how are the graphics?

The graphics are really good. The sprites look like they're taken straight out of the movie. Animation is really smooth too. I have to say, my favorite animation is when Aladdin jumps on an enemy. Yeah, yeah, jumping on enemies, it's been done a thousand times. But how many people do you know wanted someone dead so bad as to not only jump on them, but do a flip right on their heads? Yeah, bet'cha you'll never see Mario do that.

Yeah, the jumping animation is nice and all, but what do you think of the music?

I think it's really nice. If I'm not mistaken this does use music from the movie. Which is nice.

This game sounds great. How often do you play it?

Well, it's not my daily routine or anything, but this game is AWESOME. Man, this game is like an analogy I can't come up with! Isn't that fantastic!?

I guess there's no point asking about story, since this is a movie game, so how hard is it?

This game will beat you down, and you'll love it! It's hard, but somehow it never gets me too frustrated to the point of rage-quitting. Which says a lot since I can't get past the second cave level.

So play it. Just play it. Right now. Really. 9.1 out of 10. GOOOOOOOOOOO

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (World 4 Players)

TMNT Arcade Review
Everyone loves Ninja Turtles. Everyone loves Konami. So when Konami makes a Ninja Turtles game, you know you're in for something good.

One thing I should not is that it actually uses the original theme song from the cartoon. Speaking of music, this game has some extremely catchy music. Especially the first level theme. I bet if you play this game you will have this song stuck in your head for a LONG time. Really it's that catchy.

The story in this game is nothing special. April gets kidnapped, the turtles have to save her, blah, blah, blah. But what IS something special are the graphics. It looks like they took the characters straight from the cartoon. Really.

Now if you're gonna play TMNT you have to know that it doesn't play around. This game is tough as nails. I just hope you're good, because if you play on the NES, you only get 2 lives.

So TMNT is a great game, and you should definetely play. This game gets an 8.9 out of 10

Batman Review
Wow, I did a terrible job with Sonic Month. Anyway, due to the complete failure of Sonic Month, how 'bout another month with something I'm sure to do a lot better with, Movie Game Month. A month where I review a game based on a movie or TV show. So let's start with a classic among classics, Batman.

First, a little background. In 1989 Tim Burton had made a Batman movie simply titled Batman. It was huge success and stands as one of the best Batman movies. So naturally, a video game would be made based on the movie. And it was made by Sunsoft, so we're in good hands.

The title screen is nothing to behold. It's just Batman standing there. Starting the game is where it really gets good. The graphics are really good. Somethings look really odd, for example, it kinda looks like one of the enemies is a slot car, but I digress.

The music is fantastic. It's catchy, and memorable. But no Batman theme song though. Y'know, the Danny Elfman one. I digress. This game is unbelievably fun. In fact, everyday I have to play Batman or else the music will never go away.

The story is the exact same as the movie. Which I kinda thought was all over the place. Although, I feel like some scenes came WAAAAAAAAY too early. Like the cutscene where the Batmobile shoots a door open. That came near the end of the movie.

Oh, by the way, THIS GAME IS DANG HARD. Want proof? Did you check out the second boss?

Overall, Batman for NES is not the cash-in you expect. It's actually a really well made game. My only complaint is that the controls are reversed. Start scrolls through weapons and Select pauses. Batman gets and 8.3 out of 10.
Sonic Eraser (english translation)

Sonic Eraser Review
Lots of video game series has a puzzle game spin-off and since it is Sonic Month, I thought I'd review Sonic Eraser.

When you turn on the game you think "Where's Sonic? What's with the generic book with generic text?" My answer to that is, beats me. What can I say about this? Honestly, where the heck is Sonic? Well he is in the game, but only in the two player mode. Don't ask me why they didn't stylize it with a Sonic style. Don't ask why Sonic isn't on the title screen and don't ask me anything about where Sonic is.

This game is heavily focused on two player. Just about every option in the menu has versus in the name. I honestly didn't know which one to pick. There are two ways to play by yourself 1P vs. Comp, of course, or by picking 1P and 2P. Why can they just make an option called Singleplayer or 1P Game like every other game EVER.

Starting the game you'll notice the music. It's not bad but it's not good. It's.........boring. Yeah, boring. Don't worry, I won't be using that word too much. So when you start playing you'll notice the graphics are just so.....boring. The only thing this game really has for graphics are just colored shapes. That's it. Shapes.

The music is, like I said, boring. It's just the same beats over and over. The same bland boring beats. The music in the versus mode iss terrible. The game play isn't anything special, it's really boring. It's like Tetris without any of the fun that made Tetris what it is. In fact it's worse. You can't move the shapes vertically. So yeah, it's boring.

It's sounds like I'm being harsh, but in reality, that's exactly what I'm doing. There is no redeeming factors about this game. Boring music, boring graphics, boring game play, boring everything. Everything is so boring. It doesn't even have anything to do with Sonic. I actually forgot I was writing a review about a Sonic game at one point. No joke, and I bet you did too. Sonic Eraser gets a 1.3 out of 10
Sonic 3D Blast

Sonic 3D Blast Review
When you think of Sonic's transition into 3D, you think Sonic Adventure, right? Well, that's just not the case. Sonic's first "3D" game was Sonic 3D Blast for the Genesis. There is a Sega Saturn version, and from what I know it's better. Still not good, but much better. I would review that game, but the Sega Saturn isn't on Vizzed. Hint, hint.

When you start the game, you're greeted with a cutscene that's.........meh. Sure, maybe it was mind-blowing at the time, but this game was released well after Super Mario 64. But, hey, it's the Genesis. I'll give Traveler's Tales some credit.

The story is.......................gooooooooooooooood. So basically, there are these mysterious birds called Flickies and Doctor Robotnik finds them and put them into robots for some reason. I don't know, maybe he just feels like irritating Sonic. So Sonic decides to kill all the robots to free the Flickies. Do robots die? I don't know. The thing that confuses me is that in Japan and Europe it's called Sonic 3D: Flickies' Island. That means that they're on there own island, away from where Sonic lives. So why does he care?

So what you have to do is kil- smash the robots, get the Flickies, put them in the ring, on to the next section of the act, do the same thing, on to the next act, rinse and repeat. Sounds simple, right. WRONG. You see, the game isn't actually 3D. It's in an isometric view. It's basically 2D that gives the illusion of 3D. It's used in other pretty popular games like SimCity 2000 and RollerCoaster Tycoon. But this game is mostly action based. That means it's near IMPOSSIBLE to hit enemies. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating, but still. The isometric view means the camera is so weird. Oh, and the controls suck too. There very slippery, and they use a D-Pad. So if you're gonna play, not that you'd want to, play on the Saturn with an analog stick controller.

The music actually isn't that bad. Heck, the Green Grove music is iconic. I actually have n... Read the rest of this Review
