Pokemon Rijon Adventures 05-26-13 10:42 PM |
Amazing Game Entirely new dialog The starter Pokémon selection commentary is changed, a rival trying to act a little too nice seems weird and a long-winded explanation on Poke balls took many taps to get through. After you battle the first trainer on route, it seems apparent that this game explains everything as you go along. Luckily, that is not the case. Different Map Layout The towns look different. The character names are all changed. I caught Paras, Vulpix, Clefairy, Zubat and Geodude right away in a southern cave. Abra also appears in the cave, but of course, you will not catch him right away. In addition, as soon as you get singing Pokémon that is fast enough to catch him, he fails to appear on six consecutive walks through the cave. Bummer. After the last trainer in the first segment of the cave, you can just walk right through some rocks dead ahead. Rockets have taken over the second part of the cave. You have your second rival battle right outside the first gym. To make up for startling you, he heals your Pokémon for you before the battle. Pokedex seems to be the one thing that has not changed or adapted to the Rijon region. I have battled Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko, but they are not showing up on the dex. The map has not changed in the Pokémon locator function of Pokedex. That is too bad because the Rijon region is entirely different from any other game. There is some talk about upgrading to the National Dex if you talk to the right people. I hope it happens soon. Underground Path I found an ice heal, paralysis heal, and a potion by checking every square step in the first underground path. Game Play I have noticed that the minor annoyance of that horrible continuous dinging when your Pokémon's health is low is curiously absent. There is a plus. Another plus is that the first gym leader's sister gives you a Water Stone every time you go back to her route. I have ten now. I like... Read the rest of this Review |
Final Fantasy V (english translation) 05-26-13 12:42 AM |
Final Fantasy V Overall:Final Fantasy is a series known for its innovation, memorable characters, enjoyable music, and over-use of amnesia as a plot device – and Final Fantasy V for the SNES is no exception. The story takes place on your typical fantasy world (dragons, pirates, and pre-gun powder weaponry abound). The first character (can’t really call him the main) is a traveler with a basic but existent back. This is an improvement (in my opinion) over the typical “four mysterious Light Warriors arrive in town one day.”He quickly meets up with the other characters in the game and they, in turn, try to solve the mystery of the meteors and the crystals. The game takes some unpredictable turns, remains relatively consistent throughout (i.e. no gaping plot holes), and has funny bad guys that make the work fun. Graphics: The graphics are good. It’s an SNES game, so there’s not a lot of range to this sort of thing. The over-world map is easy to navigate, Monsters are well drawn, and character animations during battle are great (for back then). Sound: One of the best things about all Final Fantasy games is the music. The music in FF V is enjoyable, tolerable for long hours of grinding, and matched well with the mood/storyline. Addictiveness: The answer to this depends not on the plot of the game itself, but on the job system. Jobs were first introduced in FF III, and were then developed for FFV. Jobs allow players to tailor their warriors based on specific skills. This, in turn, makes for multiple ways to play the game and gives people a reason to grind. That having been said, many of these jobs are clearly inferior to other options, so whether or not the game is “addictive” depends on the player’s desire to try and build all job options. Unlike later games (i.e. FF VII) there are no side games. Story: The story is very good! It has unpredictable turns, interesting side-stories, and it wor... Read the rest of this Review |
Killer Instinct 05-26-13 12:28 AM |
Killer Instinct Graphics-10: To start off, the graphics of this game are one of the most amazing I have ever seen especially when taking into consideration that the game was released in 1995 (on the SNES. It was first released for arcade in 1994, also the year I was born Although the graphics where a lot better in the arcade version the backgrounds, settings, and characters are still very detailed! You could especially see how the battle settings were something they really put a lot of focus into. The details the creators were able to put in are what makes the game even better, everything looks pretty much real even the places you know can't be real (such as the places with lava on the ground of coarse.) Another great thing about the graphics is the combos and special effects the characters have! This game is Street fighter and Mortal Combat COMBINED. The combos look hardcore and crazy (in a good way though.) The better the combo the crazier it looks. In the end of a battle the character about to win gets to decide how they want to finish off his or her opponent. Not to mention, the effects on the character are also crazy! There is a robot who looks futuristic, a skeleton that looks real just like the ones you see in museums, of course don't forget a man who is actually made out of fire, and many more! Sound-10: The sounds are also one of the best parts of the game! Each character has their own theme sound that fits them perfectly, some characters even have voices that I would say fits them just right as well. They each have several different noises they make every time they get injured and every time they perform a combo. Also, the announcer of the game has a deep loud voice which makes it fairly easily to understand and hear. He also announces what type of combo one of the characters just performed. The last thing about sound is the background music, it gets pretty catchy and they seem to fit the setting as well (the creators focused on this a lot too considering they e... Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars 05-26-13 12:23 AM |
Super Mario RPG Well, this is a review of Super Mario Role Playing Game Legend of the Seven Stars. I must say that this would have to be one of my favorite video games. I have purchased this video game with Wii Shop Channel points on the Wii Shop Channel. I used to play this video game every day. I've beat Super Mario Role Playing Game Legend of the Seven Stars two times in the past. My overall rating is ten. I had chose ten because this game offers extensive content, the graphics are sharp, although, some of Mario's actions seem a tad weird and different, the soundtracks in the background include a catchy beat, I am extremely addicted to this game because I enjoy Mario role playing video games, the story is amazing because of the different types of characters and all of the action, the depth is out of this world because there is an extensive amount of content included in this game, and the difficulty isn't that high, as long as you know what your next attack will be. Well, this is paragraph will include explanations about Super Mario Role Playing Game Legend of the Seven Stars' features are included and how the designations had been created. Well, I've learned most of the hidden areas, glitches, secret objects and items, and where to travel. I would have to say that Culex would be the most difficult boss for other video game players under advanced skills. Culex isn't difficult for me. Battling Culex is extremely simple, well, at least included in my opinion. Culex originated from Final Fantasy video games. Anyways, I own the most powerful attack. I usually use Peach as my reviver/healer. She receives four to sixty damage every battle. You must equip her with advanced armor. The challenges in this video game are astounding. There are many ideas that haven't been included in other video game creators. Most of Mario's motions in this video game seem extremely weird and impossible. An example is when he had been standing on a chain with his hands high in the air. Th... Read the rest of this Review |
Pokemon Emerald 05-26-13 12:03 AM |
Incredible Game! Well this is my first review I am making to inform you that in my opinion Pokémon emerald is the fun nest Game Boy Advance game ever. I will be blunt with you, this is a very fun game and I enjoyed beating this game 7 times. I enjoyed every moment of playing this game and will be trying to beat it again. I don't know why but I just find this game very amusing and fun. That is why I am reviewing this game below. So stick around and read. Thank you for your cooperation. Well here I go with the flow. On the overall I gave it a 9.5 The reason being is because it is a awesome fun loving game. It is full of adventure and wild crazy enemies. This is by far the finest most enthusiastic game I ever seen. Well at least in Pokémon. I love how you take on 2 teams and I love this generation of Pokémon. Not to mention that hoenn is my favorite region of them all. I also like the Pokémon on that game. I know they seem like the same game but Pokémon emerald is a bit better than the original sapphire and ruby. On the graphics I gave it a 9 The game has some pretty ok graphics. I won't compare them to Nintendo DS graphics because a Nintendo DS is a way better source. Other than that I think the graphics are pretty ok. I don't know why but I can't play a game that has horrible graphics on Game Boy Advance. I don't like them because on game boy advance graphics are supposed to be more advance than most systems. That doesn't mean the quality where the game looks like it has squares in it. Another reason I like Pokémon Emerald it doesn't have that. On the sound I gave it a okay 7 Reason because sound is sound it doesn't matter what it sounds like. I like some of the songs on Pokémon emerald though. The seem rather soothing to me lol I don't know why. I just really like some of the songs on the cities and towns a... Read the rest of this Review |
