Final Fight (World)

Respect the Pipe and Read the Review
Overall: Final Fight. Where do I begin with this gem. Do I start with the well known trivia that the game was originally going to be a Street Fighter game called Street Fighter 89? Or do I inform the uneducated about this games ties with the Street Fighter games? Well, I might spice up the story section a bit with a bit of back story about the games ties with the Street Fighter series. Now let's be honest here if you have never played a Final Fight game ever you have never played fully enjoyed a beat 'em up. This game is a great classic though I never got to play it when it was out in the arcades. Many people might be aware of the Super Nintendo port of this game and not know about the original arcade game. The port was a good game on its own but there is just something about the original arcade version that console ports will never truly recapture. Also the Super Nintendo port cut out a whole level. The level where you fight Rolento is no where to be seen. Now I will say that the experience may be different depending on who you choose to play as. I highly suggest if you have played any beat em up to play this game. I mean it. Seriously play it.

Graphics: Okay this game has an arcady look to it; but don't take that as a bad thing it is part of the games charm. This game has some pretty dang good graphics considering how old it is, but that can be said about most every arcade game. Any way the look and feel of this game just takes me back to when I was little and watching the big kids play a game like this one in my local mall's arcade. I will say this though because I played this on my computer when there was just a bit too much on the screen at the same time I did experience some slow down which did lead to some unfair deaths; but since I played it on vizzed which is pretty much just an emulator I had all the Credits I could handle. Shh don't tell anyone. Any way the graphics of this game is one of the... Read the rest of this Review
Street Fighter Alpha 3

You Must Read My Review To Stand A Chance
Overall: Were do I begin. Now I would like to go on record saying that I LOVE the Street Fighter series. That being said I did not like this game at all. It reeks of a dumbed down version of a great game. Street Fighter 3 is great but this...this is crap made of fail and AIDs. Well the character roster is pretty dang awesome in this game. Now this is just my opinion but your reading my review of the game so deal with it. Street Fighter 3 on the Gameboy Advanced sucks. It pains me to say this to. Don't think I like trash talking this game. Because I don't. I love Street Fighter so much. God Dang I hate this game with so much burning Passion. Okay let me tell you more about the suck factory that is this game.

Graphics: One thing this game does have going for it is its graphics. The visuals of the game are really good for a Gameboy Advanced game. All the character sprites are really good and clean looking and the stages are pretty cool to look at. I didn't notice much tearing in the game while I played it (Tearing is when the game slows down and the game mucks up). All the character alternate colors are pretty good so all and all the graphics are passable.

Sound: Here is where I cry manly tears. The music in the game is AWFUL! The music in Street Fighter games is one of the main reasons I love the series so much but this, as I have stated before, is made of fail and AIDs. Well I will give it one thing. It sounds OKAY for a Gameboy Advanced game. Like there are worse sounding games out there. I mean I cant keep comparing all Gameboy Advanced games music to that of Final Fantasy Dawn of Souls.(I'll review that one eventually) But I mean heck this music gives me headaches and fills me with blind furry. I really don't like it. The voices in the game sound ehh at best. I mean even in the console and arcade games they were also ehh.

Earthbound

You Connot Grasp The Greatness of this Game
Overall: Let me start by saying I did not play Earthbound growing up so I am not blinded by nostalgia for this game. That being said I have to say that Earthbound is now one of my favorite RPGs ever after beating it not too long ago. It blended a great story, game play, and superb music into one complete package. Now the game is not without it's faults like the difficulty and cheapness of some attacks and psi attacks in the game. I'll get to that later. Like I said I love this game with a passion. I cannot stress how much I love this game people. Lets get this show on the road.

Graphics: What can I say about the graphics in a game that's eighteen years old. Well I could start off by saying that they are great. I mean let's be honest the graphics in earthbound are fantastic. I guarantee that everyone has seen some sprites from this game somewhere before. The graphics are bright and colorful which might have some players dismissing this as a mere kids game but trust me it is not. I'll get to that later. Like I said the graphics in the game are amazing. The character sprites on Ness and the gang are nicely detailed and the environments look awesome as well.

Sound: The music in this game is freaking fantastic. Like the character sprites I can guarantee that everyone has heard one of the tracks from this game somewhere on the Internet. The music sets a brilliant tone from a happy town to a spooky cave or even in a land filled with dinosaurs. I love the music for this game so much that even after beating the game I listen to the soundtrack all the time while doing house work. The sound effects in the game are also really really good. I especially love the battle sound effects the m

Addictiveness: This game is highly addictive. I find myself thinking about it even after I completed the story. Before I beat the game I would find myself thinking about the next thi... Read the rest of this Review
