Mega Man X3 Why is this game soooo expensive?!
Dragon Warrior II Not the best of the NES four... but the first one i played and prob. still my favorite of the early games.
Super Mario World - The Lost Adventure - Episode 1 i need to fix my computer just to play this.. looks awesome.
Metroid Prime Just bought this game for $16 .. not bad i guess for whats considered such a great title. Just started it but so far i dig it.. I'm a 2-D kind of gamer at heart tho
Mega Man X3 I feel this is def. the hardest of the SNES trilogy...
Tetris (nintendo) People get 999,999 i guess. That's insane The yearly tournament usually has 500k-700k goin' on. I get over 400k often. I wonder if i'll ever make another jump...
Breath of Fire III Deis is awesome...
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 I've never got Super Sonic... and i really want to.
Star Ocean: The Second Story It does mean that . Star Ocean 1 was sadly never released in the US. It was SNES generation.. it's a GREAT game.
Chrono Cross I'm gonna go ahead and say it... Chrono Cross is better than Chrono Trigger. *Shields his face from incoming attacks*

Lufia II - Rise of the Sinistrals

Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals

The legendary sword Duel Blade has sat dormant for all of human existence. It was thought it would stay that way for thousands of years. But Duel Blade has started to ring, and a destined warrior named Maxim is about to begin a journey to save mankind.

Story - 9

If I had to rate the Lufia series as a whole, I would say it's above average. It's not CRAZY! But it has its twists and whatnot. Probably a 7.5 or so.... That rating doesn't do this specific game justice. Lufia 2 by itself gets a 9 easy. It's not the story itself, but rather how the story is told that makes it so good. All of the characters have distinct personalities that add to a game that is already very charming.
Puzzles occur frequently and you have an array of things to help you out. Arrows, bombs and a hook-shot to name a few. The puzzles are really a defining characteristic of this game and set this game apart from other RPG's of its time.

Sound - 8

Lets be realistic. It's not Chrono Trigger, nor is it Final Fantasy 4 or 6. It may not even be better than Lufia 1. But that's ok, it's a SNES RPG! I can't think of one with bad music.... Seriously. This game still has enough to give it a solid 8. The Doom Island theme alone is worth the price of admission.

Addictiveness - 10

This game contains one of the most addicting things I have ever come across in a video game.... The Ancient Cave. Here you are stripped of all your items, equipment, and levels. You then proceed to try making your way through 99 floors of monsters and treasure, which is nearly impossible at first. The maps change every time you re-enter, and later enemies will dominate you if you are not prepared. The only wa... Read the rest of this Review
Chip \'n Dale Rescue Rangers

Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers!

Sometimes, some crimes, go slipping through the cracks... like you not having played this game.

Back in the Golden Age of the late 80's and early 90's, two great things were taking place at once. One was Capcom, the other was "Disney Afternoon" cartoons.
Capcom had a massive hit with Megaman. They also had other great games during their NES careers. Yo-Noid, Little Nemo the Dream Master and Bionic Commando being amongst my favorites.
Disney Afternoon was a 2 hour, 4 show block of awesome. Shows came and went and your favorite line up most likely depends on your age, but mine was Duck Tales, Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin then Darkwing Duck.
These two teamed up to make all 4 of these games (plus others) and the rest as they say, is history.
This review will focus on Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers or as my review will call it... CDRR.

Story - You start off the game trying to find your neighbor Mindy's lost pet. Gadget goes off ahead to look for clues and is captured by Fat Cat, who of course set up the whole thing. So your real goal through out the 11 levels is to rescue Gadget and eventually stop Fat Cat.
7/10

Gameplay - Chip and Dale can work alone, or together at once (Way more fun with 2 people). You attack by throwing anything you can pick up; Apples, boxes, concrete blocks? You can also defend by hiding in boxes you hold. The whole game you will be picking something up and throwing it at something, but it works.
8/10

Depth - The two player aspect is the main depth in CDRR, not much besides that. You don't have to play every level to get to Fat Cat's Casino, but you can choose&n... Read the rest of this Review
7th Saga, The

Easy to reach on that low shelf.
Everyone knows the classics from the 16-Bit era. You have Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 and Earthbound. It doesn't stop there... You also have Final Fantasy 4, Breath of Fire 2 and Phantasy Star 4. The list continues with the Lufia and Shining Series. That still leaves Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Breath of Fire 1. So many great games to play.
Then you have "The other ones". You know, Paladin's Quest, Sword of Vermilion, Lagoon, Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, Tecmo: Secret of the Stars and 7th Saga. I still love all of those games but, 7th Saga does falls into the lower tier of 16-Bit RPG's. HOWEVER! I am here to tell you why it is at the "Top of the bottom tier" and still worth playing.
STORY- You have been recruited and trained under the great King Lemele for the past 5 years. Finally the time has come for you to look for the seven Runes hidden throughout the world of Ticondera. The one with all the Runes will be the future leader of the world. Choose from;
Kamil Dowonna - Human - A balanced choice, leaning towards attack. Has many skills but excels at none.
Lux Tizer - Tetujin - A great beginner character. Has high HP and attack. Learns very little magic. He costs very little to outfit also.
Lejes Rimul - Demon - A balanced choice, leaning towards magic. One of my favorites.
Esuna Busy - Elf - All magic here. In my opinion, she is the best partner to have in the game.
Wilme Pelin - Alien - High HP and Defense make him a decent choice. I never use him though.
Olvan Jaess - Dwarf - Great beginner choice. Is strong enough to be an attacker and still has nice support spells. This makes him a good choice for a "No Partner Run".
Valsu Saizer - Human - Has nothing to offer offensively. He becomes almost invincible late game due to his magic. Unfortunately this happens far to late in the game for him to be a good choice. Unless your a pro, he is best lef... Read the rest of this Review
Final Fantasy II

Final Fantasy 2 (US)

One to be Born, From a Dragon... those were the most legendary words of my childhood. This game cemented me into a path of gaming for all of time. And for that I am forever grateful. Now the Review!

Graphics - 16 bit sprites doing their job. From the small character animations to the fading/flashing of light(representing confusion or flashbacks). This game finds a way to convey its message. The graphics were not that bad for the its time but I also wouldn't say they were "great". My favorite part about the graphics are the in-battle character sprites. They look cool as they are but they always look better before they attack or while defending. Some also look pretty funny while they are"KO'd". The final battle looks awesome enough to bump my rating to an 8.
8/10

Sound - The best part of a great game. An absolute masterpiece in my opinion. From the opening song you know your starting an epic journey and it doesn't stop there. The music does a great job to help tell the story throughout the way. The emotion and adrenaline you feel are mirrored by the music and that is part of why graphics weren't the bottom line of gaming in the early 90's. Easy 10 for me here. I still play this game after 20 years because of the music. Listen to Battle with the Four Fiends if you want an example.
10/10

Addictiveness -  For an JRPG, addictiveness only goes as far as you think the game is good.  I have beat this game beginning to end over 100 times and still come back for more. Nostalgia can only carry so much weight. It's just a good game.
7/10

Story - Betrayal, Envy, Revenge, Atonement, Forgiveness, Sacrifice, Courage, Pride, Love.. It has everything a great story needs. On the surface it's your classic "Good vs. Evil" tale. But each character brings something to the table here to add to the story. I never felt like a character was forced on me. Cecil is your main character. He is a Dark Knight for the King...
