Mortal Kombat 4
01-22-13 05:15 PM
FINISH HIM!!!
Firstly: a bit of glitches: for example, I don’t see the health bar! Is it the same for You?

-Genre: Fighting (splatter XD)
-Developer: Midway Games, Eurocom, Digital Eclipse (for different consoles)
-Publisher: Midway Games
-Years: 1997 (arcade) – 1998 (Nintendo 64,Playstation, Pc, Gameboy Color) – 1999 (Dreamcast) [Other versions and
prequels/sequels are available on Vizzed.com!!!]
-Players: 1-2 (VS in many different modalities)
-In a fistful of words: FLAWLESS VICTORY!!! Or…GET OVER HERE!

-Introduction:
Even though someone didn’t like the 3D transition of this epic saga, this first effort had a huge success (It was played by millions
of gamers on 6 different consoles, considering the arcade version too). And this episode isn’t unfaithful to the true gore and violence, to the bloody, hardcore style of this series: just look to the squirting blood when you hit the enemy or to the results of a fatality (if You look up there, in “Mortal Kombat 4 cheat and codes” You’ll see a precious tip for the automatic fatality!)…It will be a real massacre, and if You master all the combos, and train hard, You could try the “Master II difficulty” in the arcade mode…If You dare!

-Plot:
Shinnok is back! Wait…Who’s Shinnok? He’s An ex Elder God, one of the six Gods that rule the six Realms of Mortal Kombat Universe.
And What’s Mortal Kombat? A Tournament where are decided the destinies of all the six Realms: Outworld, Edenia, Chaosrealm, Netherrealm, Seido, and finally, our Earthrealm. Shinnok tried to overwhelm the other Gods Powers to become the Universe ruler, but he failed like the Titans versus Zeus, and Raiden confined him in the Netherrealm (a terrible realm of sorrow and darkness).
But after thousands of years He find... Read the rest of this Review
Tekken 3 (Japan, TET1-VER.E1)
01-21-13 06:03 PM
K.O.!
What a shame! No one wrote a single line of review for this masterpiece? We must remedy! XD (I know You were too busy playing the game, so I wrote this review for all Vizzed members ;) ).

(Uhmmm...A bit laggy, but still fun!)

-Genre: Fighting

-Developer and Publisher: Namco

-Year: 1997 (arcade) - 1998/2011 (Playstation/Playstation Network)

-Players: single/multiplayer (Vs)

-In a fistful of words: Together with Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, this game is on the pinnacle of the fighting games cathedral, one of the first 3D fighting games.

Introduction:
A glorious and long history, five official sequels and several spin-offs, lots of characters and fun...And the priceless pleasure of hearing the announcer voice shouting "K.O.!" when You beat the enemy on the ground! This is the game that made me (and millions of players) love this genre and this saga because of the good difficulty balance, the wide selection of moves, the different endings, the good graphics and sounds...

Plot:
Tekken means "Iron Fist" in Japanese. This is the name of the international martial arts tournament founded by Heihachi Mishima, the leader of Mishima Zaibatsu Corporation. A rich and corrupted corporation... If You don't know the origins of the saga, the winner of the tournament will rule the Corporation and the main storyline involves Heihachi, his son Kazuya and other Heihachi family members, trying to kill each others. When you say "One big happy family" or "Business is business"... Heihachi lost the first tournament (and Kazuya wins), but Heihachi wins the second and now he's defending his role, with the help of his own paramilitary organisation "Tekken Force". This organisation is searching for the greatest fighter in the world, because Heihachi wants to improve his power and safety. The Tekken Force find this fighter, the terrible Ogre, a monster living in an ancient Aztec temple... Read the rest of this Review
Sunset Riders (4 Players ver EAC)
01-20-13 10:57 AM
Kiss-Kiss-Bang-Bang!
-Genre: Shoot'em'up (Run and Gun)

-Developer and Publisher: Konami

-Year: 1991 (arcade) - 1993 (SNES)

-Players: single/multiplayer co-op (arcade= 1-4 players, SNES 1-2 players)

-In a fistful of  dolla... Sorry, I mean, "in a fistful of words": brilliant. Have you ever dreamt of being a Far West hero, kicking bandits' hind ends, being a bounty hunter, gaining reward's money, kissing saloon ladies and all? You're welcome in Sunset Riders, where You can do all the good old Clint Eastwood stuff...In a cartoon style!

Introduction:
"Bang! Get your sombrero down, Cormano!" Ok, let's go. Four characters (and a fantastic and chaotic 4-players mode!), thousands of bandits, eight bosses, 380.000 Dollars from their rewards (plus other little monetary awards). A bunch of Saloon Chicks waiting for your kisses and floods of tequila or whiskey. What else. Oh, yeah: riding your horse in the sunset (or in a bandit train assault...). Enjoy!

Plot:
Four bounty hunters and one mission: eat every single dollar of the American most wanted rewards. And They'll do it pretty good! Yeah, not a great plot, but I know that if You try the game, this little thing wouldn't matter any more. I'm sure of it. "Gimme some dynamite, Billy!".

Aesthetics:
The cartoon style and the country music are the perfect mix for an epic Far West game. And, I don't know why, but sometime I feel like in a Kill Bill movie...Never mind of my strange feelings, let's see the potential of this game.

Graphics:
You will live a West cartoon or comic. The Japanese designers (directed by Hideyuki Tsujimoto) fortunately didn't made it all in a manga style, but they decided to make it a little bit more "western". So, I think something like 70 or 80 % "western" and 30 - 20 % "manga" will fit the description of the final results. A well balanced choice, for both Japanese and "western" players. A little defect: the first ... Read the rest of this Review
Time Crisis (Rev. TS2 Ver.B)
01-20-13 07:57 AM
"Reload!" - Subtitle: "Hurry up!"
I'm rating this game without considering the terrible sound and graphics lags.

-Genre: 3D Shoot'em'up (Rail shooter, Vs time)

-Developer and Publisher: Namco

-Year: 1995 (arcade) - 1997 (Playstation)

-Players: single player

-In a fistful of words: The plot isn't original (save the president's daughter, kill all the bosses and bad guys, fight versus time, get your prize walking in the sunset...) But the action is frenetic and really enjoyable. Even Though, The shoot'em'up genre quite always works like this, and if You don't know, I'll tell You this is one of the most important ancestors of arcade (and not just arcade) light gun shoot'em'up games. And a great game too. You must play this game, even if You don't complete it, just to do this good gaming experience.

Introduction:
The lag is terrible or... beautiful: I'll explain You later. But You're gonna love this game, the cornerstone of light gun shoot'em'up, the granddaddy of Killzone, the progenitor of Medal Of Honor, the... Ok, ok, I'll stop. Just imagine the arcade, a crowd of friends supporting your actions screaming:"Kill him!", "Pay attention on your left". Or if you are a lone wolf, You can just forget all your friends (You sick egomaniac! XD ). By the way You are the one-man-army, the terrible gunner, the slayer, the sorrow and death distributor, with the... PINK (or azure...) light gun!

Plot:
1995: The republic of Sercia is finally ruled by a democratically elected president: William MacPherson. He is the agent of the VSSE International Intelligence Agency who successfully stopped the despotic dictatorship of the Garo family. Now the freedom finally rules and no one will harm the population of Sercia once again. No, just kidding. The last member of the Garo, family, Sherudo, isn't really happy. And if you think that in about a millennium he's the only Garo that has been removed from the throne...So, he decided to hire Wild Dog'... Read the rest of this Review
Point Blank (World, GN2 Rev B)
01-18-13 08:27 AM
Poooooiiiiint Blank!
-Genre: Shoot'em'up

-Developer and Publisher: Namco/Bandai

-Year: 1994 (arcade) - 2006 (Nintendo DS)

-Players: single/multiplayer (Versus and Co-op)

-In a fistful of words: If You like to shoot everything that moves (or also everything that stands still), this is the right game for You. A wide set of challenges, a great variety of levels, with different skills to test (fast-fire, memory, accuracy, anti-terrorist/ninja simulation...), a gun (or two if You like to challenge friends) and lots of fun!

Introduction:
An icon. When you say Point Blank, the arcade guys of my generation say "Yeah, let's play!". Really, if you never tried this game, this is a good opportunity to become Point Blank addicted. Without the light gun the levels are a bit more difficult, but with a good controller or joystick, no problem! Prepare for a lot of fun.

Plot:
Not available. Seriously, At the end of the 16 beginner or very hard levels, You will find an "ending level" that is about..."fireworks". Otherwise, a sort of story is the one that sees You always saving Dr. Don and Dr. Dan (the two little characters with mustaches) from piranhas, sharks, tanks, etc... This game is based on a frenetic shooting, the plot is simple: shoot or lose (so, no rating for the story, obviously).

Aesthetics:
A cartoon-style game with good graphics and a very nice music and sound system. A full immersion in the 90's, with a bit of 80's too, with the good ol' arcades memories.

Graphics:
The "simulation" levels (versus the terrorists/ninja/far west bandits) are quite realistic, but generally, the cartoon style is the real ruler of the scene. By the way, You'll enjoy different styles for each level. For example, the creepy skeletons shooting is ambiented in a dark graveyard; the puppet matching level in a cute toy shop; the accuracy levels in the country, outdoor. The atmospheres are different an... Read the rest of this Review
