Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan

Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles: Mutants in manhattan review
Hello! So I’ve been a ninja turtles fan for a few years now and the games have been rather lack-luster since I got in to it. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the shadows (The game, not the new movie) was bearable at best. So when I heard that a new ninja turtles game made my platinum was in the works I was quite excited for it. I knew that platinum had made really good games in the past. I also played a bit of transformers devastation, a game that I really did enjoy. Was it any good? Well, let’s find out: Graphics: 9/10 Probably the best thing about this game is its awesome graphics. Like transformers devastation it is cel shaded. And it looks gorgeous; hands down the best looking ninja turtles game of all time. One complaint you might have about the graphics is the environment. A lot of the game is played in the sewers and sewers aren’t going to look very flashy. But I didn’t really mind because the sewers are the sewers and it’s supposed to be dark. When it does go out of the sewers it is very lively and feels pretty big. Let’s talk about the character models, the best thing about the graphics for sure. The ninja turtles aren’t based on a specific version of the turtles, rather it’s a mix of all the popular versions. They don’t look incredibly detailed but they do look very nice. About the cut scenes. The cut scenes are definitely prevalent and they look fantastic. The cel shading really helps the cut scenes here.   Gameplay: 6/10 This is where the game falls flat.  It’s a hack and slash, but could also be classified as a beat em’ up.  You go through repetitive missions like defusing bombs, bringing a weird ball to a certain location, etc. Until you ultimately fight a boss.   The gameplay can be too chaotic at times and some of it is a farce. To give you an example of this, in the first training stage it teaches you to dodge and parry, but in the... Read the rest of this Review
Call of Duty 2

Call Of Duty 2 review
Call of duty is a franchise that has definitely seen its ups and downs. Mostly when people talk about the ups it’s the same, Modern warfare 1 and 2, black ops 2 and world at war. Those are some of the ones that come to mind the most. But there is one game that is up there as well that doesn’t get mentioned as much as those; Call of duty 2. This was another WW2 call of duty game. The game was released in 2005, 2 years after the Call of duty 1 was released and 1 year before Call of duty 3. The Mac and mobile versions (yes this game surprisingly had a mobile version) were both released in 2006. Note that I am reviewing the PC version, so some things like the online might differ with the consoles.   Graphics: 9/10 An important thing to discuss when talking about the graphics is that it was released in 2005, When the weapons and details, etc were not as detailed as we are used to now.  While now the game may look a bit blocky at times and a bit gray and brown at the time it looked fantastic and in my opinion is one of the best looking FPS games its generation. The tanks look massive and the nazi buildings have a great presence to them. Overall the graphics look pretty good good, and looked fantastic for its time.   Gameplay: 8/10 This is the classic call of duty formula, scripted events galore. The gameplay is not the most complex for an FPS, but it is really fun, and in the end that’s most important. I mentioned the scripted events, and those are a big part of this game. Unpredictable at first and generally really cool these events really add a nice layer of depth in to the game.   Depth: 7/10 Now, this game used to be an active online experience but 10 years later that’s not the case anymore. While there are some people left it’s not very active anymore, so you’ll pretty much only be playing CoD 2 for the awesome campaign. It isn’t very long, but it’ll keep you busy ... Superhot

Superhot... cup of tea. SUPERHOT REVIEW
Hello, there.   So, I recently I was watching some totalbiscuit and stumbled upon a video he made about a game called Superhot. It looked really interesting so I got it It’s an indy game developed and published by the superhot team.   It was released in February of this year to overwhelmingly positive reviews.     Gameplay: 10/10 Now I think I just have to start this review off talking about the gameplay because it is the most interesting thing about this game. You see, this is an FPS game where time only moves when you move. Sounds crazy, and well it is. But the amount of strategy this mechanic adds is awesome. Sometimes when there are a lot of enemies with guns around you just stand still to look around and see what you have to do. But the gameplay is way more complex than just that. You can pick up pretty much every object, glasses, balls, etc. and throw them on your enemies, they will drop their weapon and you’ll pick it up. But these objects can be broken if your enemies shoot it. Also, one hit death, might sound awful since you’re really outnumbered, but it just makes it so much more fun. If this game had a health bar it would be a lot less fun. Overall the gameplay is just perfect and I can’t think of a problem.         Graphics: 9/10 Now, this game’s art style is really polarizing, you either love it or hate it. Now obviously since I gave the graphics a 9 I love it. This game has a very simplistic art style, you’re a very simple completely black figure, and all the enemies are red. Most of the rest is completely white.   But this game’s graphics fit the game really, really well. The game’s menu looks like an old computer interface which is really neat.   Now if you’ve never played the game, the graphics might look unimpressive, but it really fits the game well, the game itself is very mysterious, and if the graphics would be fl... Dragon Ball Z - Supersonic Warriors

Dragon Ball Z SuperSonic warriors: Gotta collect those rings. Oh no wrong game.
DRAGON BALL Z: SUPERSONIC WARRIORS REVIEW Okay so, a while back I was at my friend’s house and we played this game, I didn’t really think this was a good game to review, until I started thinking about it, and thought y’know what this would make for a great review. So here it is. GRAPHICS: 7/10 The graphics in this game are stellar, the character models look great, and the energy blasts are also very good looking and represent the series well. But the reason that I don’t give the graphics a higher score is because of the backgrounds, I found them to be quite boring, and uninspired. And while you might think that that’s a nitpick, I don’t really think that it is. I find backgrounds to be pretty important in not only a fighting game, but especially a dragon ball game.   Depth: 9/10 There is a real good amount of things to do in this game. There is a story for every character on the game, and z battle mode, these are the 2 biggest modes in the game and there is quite a bit of time to put in to it. Of course there is also your regular exhibition mode, and I found that the multiplayer mode (I used multiplayer mode on my phone on a gba emulator with a friend) really, really fun.   Difficulty: 6/10 There are 3 different difficulty levels in this game, beginner, easy, and normal. Beginner is really, and I mean really easy, It’s probably even too easy for beginners as it doesn’t give you a big enough challenge to even learn anything, easy I think is a better way to start off if you’re a beginner, it gives enough of a challenge to learn all of the controls and other important stuff, but isn’t too difficult. Normal is well, normal. The game is not very difficult even in normal mode, but it definitely isn’t too easy either, it’s less difficult than most fighting games in my opinion. Gameplay: 7/10 The gameplay in this game is really quite simple for a fighting game, b... Read the rest of this Review
Popeye

Kids, don't forget. Eat... Your... Spinach!!!!!!! Review for: Popeye On GameBoy!
Donkey Kong in the arcades, One of the greatest games of all time, one of the most revolutionary games of all time… Was supposed to be a game about a sailor who smokes a pipe, and eats spinach. Yes. Donkey Kong was going to be a Popeye game. If Nintendo could’ve gotten the rights, Mario would’ve been… Popeye! Donkey Kong would’ve been Bluto. It’s all up to debate if Nintendo would’ve invented Mario, anyway. But one thing is certain: Mario would’ve been a lot different.   But that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I’m here to talk about an ACTUAL Popeye game made by NINTENDO of all companies. No, this is not the arcade version of Popeye, even though I may review that one day. I am talking about a Gameboy game based on Popeye made by Nintendo. I think it’s pretty clear that Nintendo are Popeye fans.   Popeye on Gameboy was only released in Japan, and in 1990, though the actual game text is in English – not that there is much of it.   Story: N/A I guess there isn’t any. There is no story I know of, though all the characters are there, even though they don’t say anything.   Gameplay: 6/10 The gameplay is a mix between maze/action. You need to find your girlfriend, Olive Oyl, and swee’ peas, a baby. But it’s not really clear what baby this is, if it’s a baby you found like in the movie starring Robin Williams, or if it’s really their baby. You can only get swee’ peas if you collected all the hearts. When you get both of them you advance to the next stage. The perspective is top-view, at first glance you might think of pac-man, but it’s not really similar in the slightest. The controls are good and are not an issue. Of course, there has to be spinach in a popeye game, and of course there is spinach in this game. It flies in one direction, sometimes very hard to get because of enemies and other obs...
