Rock\'em Sock\'em Robots No where NEAR as bad as they say.
Super Mario Bros 3 A true 8-bit classic.
Virtua Fighter This is graphically glitchy. So be warned.
Virtua Fighter I love the 32x it is a lovely console and should get a hell of a lot more praise than it has.

Super Collapse! II
07-22-13 03:45 AM
Overlooked gem.
Ah, Gamehouse. A truly under-rated company. Producing nostalgic (At least for me) games such as "Bounce out", "Text twist" and "Super pop and drop". But one that I hold dear is a little gem known as "Super Collapse!" More specifically "Super Collapse! II". Before I get into the review, Let me give you a little background. Gamehouse is a company that launched in 1998 with one of their first games being "Collapse!" It was an online free flash game still available to play on MSN games as it was way back when. The game was a slow-paced puzzle game where a tower of red, blue, and green blocks would rise slowly and rather than dropping matching coloured blocks onto each-other you would have to click groups of blocks that would form as the tower grew. If the tower hit the top of the screen you would lose. The game was a hit because of how addictive it was. Later on a game known as "Super Collapse!" was released. It was a more polished version of collapse, however you would have to pay 9.99$ too own it. You can actually still buy it today. Finally in the year 2000. Super collapse II came out and DANG was it ever fun. Unlike the old games this one was fast paced as you could make the tower grow yourself in order to make matches at a faster pace in order too get more points. There were also 3 new modes. But we will get into those later. Super collapse II was given great reviews and was a success! Because of this the game was ported to the GBA. And that's the version we are gonna check out!

So the first thing I would like to mention is that this game was released 3 years after its original PC release. I just found this odd. Anyway the menu comes up and has of course the 4 modes. You can select any of these right off the bat. They do not need to be unlocked. Classic mode is what I mentioned before. You break blocks to stop a tower from hitting the top and the game gets harder as time goes on by adding new coloured blocks such as white and yellow as well as near-in... Super Mario World
06-24-13 01:30 AM
I am so going to die for this.
I am just going to start this off simply. I don't like this game.  You heard me. I don't like it. I, Opti do NOT like Super Mario World on the SNES. I found it boring and not much to see. I mean, What can I say? Its just a platformer and a pretty clunky one if that. Lets get straight to the overview as I tell you why.

GRAPHICS
I don't know why this game is said to have good graphics for SNES. They lack detail and sometimes even color. If you don't believe me just compare it to super metroid. Anyway I found that the graphics were too simplistic and were really lacking compared to titles that came out around the same time.

SOUND
I found it annoying. The sound effects sound thrown together and are really annoying sometimes. The music is generic and boring. The only reason a lot of people like it is because of nostalgia. Annoying and boring.

ADDICTIVENESS
Nothing really to come back too.

STORY
Stay back fanboys, I am about to go into a full blown mario rant. Okay, Look this would be... what? the 4th time they used the same generic story line? And they are still using it today? FOR GODS SAKE. Look, if you are going to make a new game.. Make a different story line mkay?

DEPTH
Not much to do.

DIFFICULTY
Every single time you die in this game you thing "Well that was cheap." because the game littered with confusing and irritating level designs. Its terrible. This is the main problem with the game. Its really cheap and full of beginners traps. (Bullet bill in first level)

CONCLUSION
So now you have learnt something. It is possible for someone to not like Super Mario World. Shoot me. However there were some things I liked about the game. Such as the power-ups. They were all interesting ideas and generally fun too use. Also the bosses were nice. But that's really it.
Austin Powers - Oh, Behave
06-23-13 09:55 PM
Worst game I have ever played.
So... Today we have a movie game based on the movie Austin Powers... So I should start by saying I should eat my words. I had my expectations high for this game because it was made by Rockstar Games. Y'know, the folks who made GTA? So, I booted it up and was greeted with the WORST unskippable intro I have ever seen. It pretended to be a DOS computer. I am dead serious. It just pretended to load the game as if it was a windows 95 after having coffee poured all over it for like 5 minutes. There is even a logo in the corner that says "FAB DOS". Wow. Anyway it ends and it displays a fake windows classic logo and has "Austin Powers 2000" written on it. Ha. ha. ha. He. he. he. Guys its so funny I can barely take it. Ha. ha. ha. Ho. ho. ho. I hate my life. Anyway, After the 5 minute long waste of ti- I mean intro I was than greeted with a pop up box saying "The following is a fab install program!" Or something. I hit a and it asked for my name etc. But what was really odd was when it asked me what my hobby was. Here is what the choices were: Swinging, Photography, and Thrwating Dr. Evil. Whatever the hell "Thrwat" means I will never know. Anyway it then pretended to install an operating system which took about a minute. And I finally got to play the "game". It opened up into a fake computer and displayed a fake task bar with a button that takes you to the options and three folders. The first one was labeled "Games" and featured the only three things that make it all sort of qualify as a game. But the games are just cheap clones and rip-offs. One is Rock, Paper, Scissors (Seriously?), Another is just othello or reversi, and another is a cheap
Pac-Man clone where every level lasts 20 minutes. Another folder labeled "Groovy Stuff" is just a bunch of options that can already be found in the options menu in the fake task bar. And yet another folder labeled "Setting" which has a cheat screen which again pretends to be MS-DOS, Yet ANOTHER options menu and a button to delete ... Read the rest of this Review
Glover

Glover: Under-Rated Gem or Just Another Dud?
Well let me tell you. I have played some really weird games in my time. But this is one of the down-right strangest. I mean where do I even start? Walking gloves, Magic balls, Walking sharks, Fish Towers, Balloon elephants and Did I mention you play as a walking glove!? Oh boy. I am of course talking about Glover. Now as some of you mean know a game can leave you with a sour feeling if you come into it with your expectations too high and just wind up being disappointed, how ever games can become better if you keep your expectations low. So when I came into this game I had my expectations rather low because I had not heard a lot of amazing things about this game. So what did I think of it? Well as I played it I found it to be a very engaging and enjoyable puzzle/plat-former. Now enough babbling, Lets get into the review!

GRAPHICS
I did not really find anything special here. The graphics were really blurry and the in-game enemies looked just plain odd. The environments while colorful and bright were not really good looking. If you were too judge the game simply by looking at it you would probably assume its garbage. Probably why it didn't get a lot of love back in the day.

SOUND
When the topic of sound comes into the game it begins to shine a little brighter. The music is very peaceful and sometimes has a funky fell to it. The sound effects (While quite muffled.) are nice. They add too the whole cartoony feel of the game. The sound is decent but
un-comparable too other games from around the same time.

ADDICTIVENESS
This was truly surprising. The game is very difficult too put down. The puzzle solving is satisfying and the platforming is enjoyable. With such a simple goal of getting a ball to the exit by involving it in puzzle solving. It is very addictive and fun. And it even has some replay-ability if you care enough to get all of the collectables.

STORY
Well, Its definitely unique. But I am not sure I would c... Read the rest of this Review
Virtua Fighter

Virtua Fighter: As bad as many reviewers say?
Ello' everyone! Today I have doing a review for one of my favorite games on one of my favorite consoles: Virtua Fighter on The 32x!

So, Ahem.. This is my first review and I am working on this for some Viz but that does not mean I am just going to spend 5 seconds on it and say "DIS IZ A REVIEW RATE ET AMD LURV ET" So, Shall we begin?

Virtua Fighter is a game commonly bashed for its awkward controls and strange looking graphics. But too me, The only thing that matters is the gameplay. And it is a MAJOR PLUS.

Graphics:
The graphics are great for its time. I love that old school feeling you get when just watching someone play the game. Overall the graphics are wonderful and deserve more praise. (After all... Where would 3d fighters be without it?)

Sound:
I enjoyed the soundtrack to this game hugely. It basically comes out at you and yells "Get ready to kick some arse!) Its upbeat and catchy.

Addictiveness: This game can be quite addictive but only when your up for a challenging fight. Trust me, This game is hard. But we will talk more about that later.

Depth: There is plenty to do in this game Play VS., Ranking, And Arcade!

Difficulty: Pretty. Dang. Hard. Enter only if your up for one HECK of a fight!

Overall:  9.5/10 Has its problems, A small share of them. Incredible under-rated gem.
