1982 Time Pilot. Arcade.
A review by BtotheH.

Yeppers, travel back to the 80's with me as I review a fun and action packed addicting game called Time Pilot. Really no dialogue but the story Is pretty simple so for those who never played It here Is the story. You are a pilot of an awesome jet that travels back In time to rescue fellow pilots In the form of parachuting little dudes. Every time you run Into one of these you earn 1000 points. Meanwhile you are constantly moving, dodging and shooting down scores of other flying enemies! As I stated above this game has no dialogue so don't ask me how time travel Is possible or how your buddies got trapped In a different era, I honestly don't know. Regardless, In my opinion this game rocks and will keep you occupied until you are tired of playing. If you are an Asteroid or shooter fan then I suggest you try this fun and exciting game. Let's get down to some details.

The directional buttons are a little tricky, say you are pointing straight up then you push right to go right. If you are facing to the right then pushing the right button will make you face down. lol sounds complicated but It Isn't that big of a deal, I look at It like something different besides the regular up down left right configuration and actually makes the game more enjoyable.

The stages get harder as you progress as well as the enemies get faster. Each stage has a boss that Is unique with every level. It takes about seven direct hits to take a boss out. In the arcade version their are five levels of time travel. The Game Boy Advance version adds another level that I will list.
WARNING SPOILERS.
Levels:

1910: This level has Biplanes, relatively easy to shoot down but there are loads of them. The boss In this level Is a big blimp that shoots In different directions. It Is slow and easy to hit and by now you should be used to the controls to evade It's attacks.

Aliens
Aliens. A review by BtotheH.

Okay let's get this review on the way. First off this game Is more enjoyable If you are a fan of the Alien movies. I have to admit that I am a little biased because I am a fan of the genre, knowing this I will try to be as non biased as possible.

Overall: 7.5
Not really a high score overall. I felt the game would be a lot better If It had more dialogue, voice effects and more weapons. The game play Is easy enough though, no jumping, just walk to get up on a higher platform. Plus In the game their are only a couple of boards that you can choose to fight on the bottom level or top level. Regardless of my scoring I really felt this Is a cool game because It followed the exact same story line as the second Alien movie. The enemies are the same as the movie as well as some new ones. Smooth game play and pretty difficult without continuing.

Graphics:8
The graphics on this game Is actually okay for a 1985 arcade game. This version has a lot of the original aliens as well as some new additions. The levels are nicely detailed and colourful with aliens coming out of vent ducks, ceilings and sewers. In the background on some boards are people that have been strung up and infected by the aliens and when you walk by them they shudder and an alien will burst through their chest, very cool! Your character Is well pixelated as well as your enemies and boss aliens. Also In the second movie Ripley was a loading dock worker using a robot loader, this too Is In this game, super cool. This Is why the Aliens arcade game deserves an 8.

Sound:7
To be honest I was a little disappointed with the sound effects on this game. Don't get me wrong, the background music Is mediocre but matches the game. I was more disappointed with the lack of voice effects, (their are none). When your character gets hit she just makes a grunt sound, which Is better then nothing. The aliens make a little s...
