Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV - Turtles in Time 04-13-13 11:47 PM |
Alley Cat Blues Over All one of the Best Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Games ever made. Graphics are superior All the music and phrases get you pumped into the game From the upbeat music, to the "ouch my toe my toe" to the infamous "PIZZA TIME" When you were getting close to the boss at the end it goes right into that ominous villain tone. Punches make sounds throws makes swooshes and swords clink. Yes this is all common sense but it was rare for video games of this time to match actions and relevant sounds. I don't know about you but the ending itself with the righteousness music and photo the resembles the movie, just that alone was enough to keep me going through until my brother and I could conquer shredder and his minions of THE FOOT CLAN. Who wouldn't want to shift through time as mutant turtles and save the world from the putrid odor of THE FOOT. Originally created for the arcade there is a decent and diverse amount of levels and bosses for you to pummel. The game is not as easy as a make it sound, depending of the difficulty you set it on and how well you know the game you can help avoid some of the things that were meant to keep you tossing the quarters in, and avenge master splinter and defeat the mighty Shredder |
Killer Instinct 04-13-13 10:26 PM |
Do You Have The Instinct Killer Instinct in my opinion could have been more successful than the comparable Mortal Kombat series. The problem with it is that no one ever really heard of it. There was even a 2nd Killer Instinct game with minor changes to characters and levels just like in Mortal Kombat. The 1st Killer Instinct was far superior to the 1st Mortal Kombat. With its graphics, sound effects, and its fast paced combo attacks. Combos didn't even come into the mix for mortal combat until the 3rd game. Killer instinct has many levels of combos ranging from 3 Hits- Over 20 hit combos called ULTRAS. Once you enemies health bar is just about down to what would be "danger" in the Mortal Kombats the character gets a wobbling affect, this is when you can pull out your ULTRA Combos giving the appearance of your enemy being beaten senseless. You also have the choice of doing your finisher just like in Mortal Kombat. There are special levels as in MK II like the pit or the acid. All the characters have different button combinations for combos and they have special abilities/ moves. Some of the characters combos are a bit harder and more complex than others, but most of the button combinations are just variations of other characters combinations. The characters with more complex combos Jago, Glascious, and Fulgore, Characters with easier combos, Cinder, Combo, and Orchid. The graphics are great with being able to pick 3-4 different color outfits for each character, you don't have to put in any code for blood to show up. Each character also has their own sound affects and will even taunt the other player if you leave them idle for a few seconds. I'll just leave it at if your were/are a big fan of The MK series, you have to try the faster paced, more intense, visually & audibly awing game KILLER INSTINCT! |
7th Saga, The 10-28-12 11:18 AM |
7th Saga One of the top 3 RPG games for the super Nintendo system. Six very different characters to choose from to meet anyone's style from humans to aliens and elves, male and female, magical and less-magical characters meant to appeal to as many people and styles as possible. You have HP and MP just in like most RPG's, learn spells and earn HP as you battle an assortment of monsters. When you level up you also gain between 1-5 in the attributes of Power, Defense, Magic, Agility, Speed. Every time you play or even level up it is different. There are also variations in the story line for the different characters and choices you pick. In addition to the stats from leveling up you can also purchase new armor and weapons as you travel from town to town increasing your weapon and armor strength ultimately increasing your power and defense. Along with the weapons and armor to help out your stats there is a huge assortment of items to purchase from the different towns. All the towns do not have the same items for make sure you stock up on what you need before you leave town. The items are similar to most games HP potions and MP herbs to heal, but in the game you can also buy items that can cast spells if you have a weak magic character or one who does not have a certain spell . There is pretty much and item for almost every spell or, a spell for almost every item that you can buy. You can hook up with some of the other characters in the game and they will join your team. The team can only consist of the two people your character and one other. The other characters in the game will not always want to be your partner, you may have to level up before they may ask you, or they may just want to travel alone. The Characters can also choose to fight you or challenge you for your RUNES (magical stones in the games that you collect as a part of ... Read the rest of this Review |
