Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney

Objection!- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a surprisingly good game. You play as Phoenix Wright, a beginner lawyer making his way into the world of law. Now, the concept of playing as a defense attorney isn’t exactly enticing to the average person, but the game comes through with hilarious dialogue, great music, and compelling visual-novel esque gameplay.

Gameplay
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, is a visual novel type game. There are two different modes: Investigation Mode and Trial Mode. In investigation mode, you search areas of interest that have to do with the crime, talking to witnesses and looking for evidence. Trial mode is where the lawyering comes into play. You must cross examine witnesses and present evidence, trying to find the true culprit while at the same time stopping your client from being found guilty. If you present a wrong piece of evidence, you get a penalty. 5 penalties and it’s game over, and you must start again from your last save point. That’s the gameplay of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Graphics: 5
The graphics could definitely use some work in this game. There are interesting settings, but the graphics on a whole are pixely for a Nintendo DS game. The sprites are pretty detailed for sprites, albeit being pixely. You can definitely tell different body shapes apart. The graphics are great in the cutscenes, but other than that they need work. A game like this doesn’t rely on the graphics, though, and it doesn’t affect the gameplay whatsoever. This is why I give the graphics a 5

Sound: 7
The music in Phoenix Wright adds to the feeling of the game. Even when you start up the first case you can tell that the music will be spectacular. The cornered theme is great, and gives you a rush when you find something shocking out. The music tends to become repetitive during cross examinations, though. When you do not know what to do on a certain piece of testimony, the repetitive cross examinatio... Read the rest of this Review

Earthbound: This review stinks!
Ness is an average boy living in the average town of Onett. He lives a happy, average life with his family. But this all changes one day, when a meteorite lands on the ground near his house. Soon, Ness finds out that he and 3 others are destined to save the world! This is what starts  Earthbound, a game praised for it’s originality and wackiness. Here I will critique this amazing game for all of its aspects, good and bad. Although I enjoyed the game immensely, this is an unbiased review.
Sound: 9   The music and sound effects in this game are amazing and captivating. You’ll find yourself humming along to tunes such as Onett’s theme and the “New Age Retro Hippie” ‘s theme. Most of Earthbound’s overworld songs feature brass and horn instruments. The different music in this game truly fits the atmosphere and area that the character is in. Warm music with laughing and ocean sounds is found in the resort city. Merry, Christmas-y music is found in the snowy city. The caves play mysterious, quiet songs, without making it too scary or not scary enough. Then, there’s the battle music. The battle music is catchy, but it tends to get repetitive after a while. This is the reason I gave the sound a 9 rather than a 10. Altogether, though, the music in Earthbound is one of the factors that really makes the game great. It was one of the most enjoyable parts of the game. I commend the composers for doing such a great job with the music and sound effects.
Graphics: 8   The graphics in Earthbound are charming. The overworld graphics add spice and flavor to the game as a whole. Many games’ overworlds are plain and boring, but Earthbound just isn’t the case. There are cheery, colorful themes when appropriate and dark, gloomy themes when appropriate. The overworlds truly fit the feeling of their specific area. Then, there’s the battle graphics. These are a huge improv... Read the rest of this Review
Minecraft

Minecraft, a great and popular game
Minecraft is a very fun game. You can do things from mining diamonds deep inside of caves, to building a house on an island made of mushrooms. It has a silly nature but can also be dark, too (specifically in the Nether). There have also been many fan-speculated rumors, such as Herobrine. So, here is my review:

Graphics: 4
There’s nothing special in Minecraft’s graphics. It’s just pixelated blocks and chunks. But there’s something special about it. Something about the graphics that makes it….unique. Maybe the simplicity of the graphics is what makes it appealing. The sunsets in Minecraft sure are pretty, too. Also, for the people who don’t like the normal graphics, there are plenty of texture packs to fit your liking. Although, many of them aren’t free. But compared to graphics for other popular PC games, the ones for Minecraft aren’t much to look at. I would give it a 4.5, but I can't. These reasons are why I give the graphics in Minecraft a 4.

Sound: 8
The sound in Minecraft fits the game rather well. It’s very relaxing to explore a world while listening to classic music. There’s sometimes even a little of electronic-esque music in there. I don’t know how to explain it, but it just works. Plus, there’s the music in the Nether and The End. I won’t go into too much detail on these, but they also fit the areas very well. The sound effects in all the different areas of the game are great. When you’re inside while it’s raining, it sounds very realistic, as it becomes more dim and quiet. Plus, the sound of the Ghasts in the Nether really expresses how desolate the place is. The harmony of the sound effects and music in the game is why I give the sound an 8.

Addictiveness: 9
Minecraft is very addicting. Sometimes, I play it for hours on end. The depth of the game adds on to this, as there’s so much to do once you “beat” the gam... Read the rest of this Review
Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV Review
Grand Theft Auto IV is a very fun game. You play as Nico Bellic, a European immigrant who came to  Liberty City, America, with his cousin Roman. Roman looking for the American Dream, and Nico looking for revenge. The game is a great stress reliever, and I recommend you play it.

Graphics: 4
GTA IV definitely isn't known for its graphics. Helicopter blades go through walls, broken car parts are pixely, and more. Plus, buildings that you can't go into aren't good looking. Pretty much everything super close up doesn't look good. The graphics aren't completely awful, though. Some of the cars look cool, and the explosions are awesome. This is why I give the graphics of Grand Theft Auto IV a 4.

Sound: 8
Most of the sound effects in Grand Theft Auto IV aren't very note-worthy, but I've added a couple of extra points because of the radio. When you're in the car, you can listen the radio. There are twenty three different radio stations in this game. My favorites are Liberty Rock and JNR. All the stations combined boast over 125 songs. That's a whole lot of music for one game. It's fun in an odd way to shoot down cops and helicopters while listening to jazz. Then, there's the sound effects. The voice acting is OK in this game, but it could use some work. The sound effects that come from things such as explosions, cars, and guns are pretty normal in comparison to other games. I rate the sound of this game an 8.

Addictiveness: 9
Grand Theft Auto 4 is very addicting, and lots of this comes from the depth of the game. There's so much to do that you just want to play it more and more. There's many missions, and you want to unlock everything and beat it so you can have more fun. Plus, there's multiplayer, which can be addicting, too. This game is a good stress reliever, so if you come back from a crappy day at work or a boring school day, fire up GTA IV and unleash your wrath on virtual people. It's fun, and you aren't actually h... Read the rest of this Review
Super Mario 64

Super Mario 64 Is a cool game!
I like the game "Super Mario64" It's a fun game that can help pass time. (and it's family friendly, too! XD). This is my review for the game:

Graphics: 7
The graphics are a little bit bad in this game. There are just some weird things, like when your able to mess with mario's face at the beginning. The graphics vary. At some levels, like the Bowser ones, i love the graphics. At others, like the first level, the graphics can disappoint. The graphics are also very good at Jolly Roger Bay (was that the name of it? It is the first underwater level. The one on the door to the right on the first floor. Ya.) But, i have to admit, that altogether, The graphics are pretty good, and deserving of a 7

Sound: 8
The sound in this game can get very catchy! I always find myself humming along to the "Tall Tall Mountain" theme. I also like the theme at the "Press Start" Area, and at the snowy areas. The sound affects are also OK. Pretty much every enemy you defeat either does the goomba stomp noise, or the thwomp noise when defeated. Honestly, None of the music has ever really disappointed me. The music isn't THAT good, though, so I give the sound an 8.

Addictiveness: 8
This game is addicting at times. Sometimes you just want to get 1 more star. Then maybe just 1 more. And then ONLY 1 more. And then 1 more star, and that's it. After 1 more star. See what I mean? This game can get very addicting. I give the games addictiveness an 8.

Story: 6
The story is the same in this game as any other game. Princess Peach invites Mario to her castle for something, and when mario gets there Bowser kidnaps her and mario has to go through many different in - game levels to save her. The only reason that I a m giving the story a six instead of a 5 is that the castle people are stuck in walls and mario has to collect stars to open doors and fight bowser and free them. Also, there are a couple side-things and stuff....Anyways, I give the Story a 6.

Earthbound Sword of Kings guide.
This is a guide on how to get the Sword of Kings in Earthbound. Before we start, here’s a few things you should know.

1.The Sword of Kings is the only useful weapon for Poo (You can equip him with bats and yo-yo’s, but they just make his offense go down.)
2.The Sword of Kings is a 1/128 weapon drop found only by defeating Starman Supers
3.Starman Supers are only found in the Stonehenge Base in Winters
4.Once you defeat the Starman Deluxe at the end of the Stonehenge Base, all the enemies disappear from Stonehenge. This means you have a limited time frame to get the Sword of Kings.
5.Due to the way statistics work, you can get the sword on your first try, or you can get the sword on your 5,000th try. Just because it is 1/128 6.doesn’t mean you’re assured to get in on the 128th try.

Okay, now to start with the actual guide!

So, the first thing you’ll want to do is to go to the Stonehenge Base in Winters. You’ll be able to find this above Dr. Andonuts’s Lab.

Once you get there, you’ll want to use the Eraser Eraser to get into the base. I won’t give a walkthrough on how to get through the base since this is the Sword of Kings guide, but here is a map of the base:

You’ll want to go to the middle part of the base, just past the purple floors, to farm the Starman Supers. The best place to farm will be the top part, in between the entrance and the broken harmonica present.

Here are some tips:

1.You won’t be able to tell if an enemy is a starman super or normal starman from the overworld, so just go for both.
2.Try avoiding the atomic power r... Read the rest of this Guide
