Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars Seriously does anyone else have the running jump problem? ._.
Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars Just a question, but why won't it let me do the running jump? I'm stuck in the first room with the bullet bills in Booster's Tower because it won't let me jump while holding the dash button down...
Chrono Trigger This game is amazing. I played it on my Super Nintendo when I was younger. My mom actually played it. THAT should be proof of how awesome it is... I have the PlayStation remake of it, which I play mainly for the cutscenes and New Game+.
Chrono Trigger BEST. GAME. EVER. Period. I love this game!

Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past

Hey guys, it's strikerofthewind here, with another game review. This time it is on the game Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. As the very first game I ever played in the Legend of Zelda series, I knew I'd have to review this game eventually.
The graphics of this game are OUTSTANDING!!!! Since it's a Zelda game, it's obvious the graphics are going to be decent at the very least. It's amazing how smooth the graphics flow together.
....Do I really need to review the sound? The Legend of Zelda music is legendary. To quote Screwattack, whether you're a Nintendo, Capcom, Sega, Microsoft, Square, or 360 freak, the main theme from Legend of Zelda binds us gamers together.
As any fan of Nintendo will tell you, the games they make are usually highly addicting. As any Legend of Zelda fan will tell you, every game they made for that branch is addicting. From the original 8-bit game on the NES to the newest release, Skyward Sword, the Legend of Zelda is one of the most addicting game branches out there.
In the terms of the story, it's the same as every other Zelda game. Link gets pulled into an epic quest to save Princess Zelda, and save Hyrule. Of course, every game adds its own twists to make each game more unique than the last. A Link to the Past is no exception for this case. With the items and equipment that aren't anywhere else in the series, this game's story still rates a 9 from me.
Depth was difficult for me to decide on... The world is enormous! With a different set of enemies for each area, and a different strategy required to defeat each of them as well as the giant bosses throughout the typical temples that are to be found in the series. That would pull a 9.4 from me, but we'll round that down and give it a 9.
Difficulty is at a seven. It may not seem that hard, and it's not once you get the hang of the controls. It's just that enemies can easily swarm you for 360 degrees, and the bosses are quite difficult when you first face them. ... Read the rest of this Review

Super Mario World
WOO! ANOTHER REVIEW! This time it's on Super Mario World... Obviously... Anyway, Super Mario World is an awesome Mario game. The Mario series is known by basically everyone, everywhere. If there's someone who doesn't know the storyline of the Mario games, they most definitely have heard the name. This is one of the older games of the series, released originally on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and then later released on the Game Boy Advance. There's also a game demo of it in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This game is amazing in terms of everything! All new worlds, new castles and mini bosses, and even a new character, YOSHI! Now let's get on to the review!
In terms of graphics, it's amazing! The SNES was known for most of its game's good graphics. The movement is incredibly smooth, and I have yet to encounter a single glitch in the game.
The sound is great. Every Mario game has the same basic music in it, with a variation on it for every game. This case is no exception. The music is different for every world, every environment, from the plains of Dinosaur Island to the interior of Vanilla Mountain. From the Forest of Illusion to Bowser's Kingdom.
Addictiveness... Hmm... How should I put this... Um... I couldn't put my laptop down for a while? No, no... That's too laid back... Err... How about OMGEOHAUWHIUEHOHFEIFHE *flips table* DHAFHEHEHFEIO MUST... PLAY... GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That should sum it up a little for you.
Story... Same as other Mario games. Princess Peach, or, in this case, Princess Toadstool, gets kidnapped by Bowser, the Koopa King, and Mario must fight his way through world after world, getting past enemies, traps, deadly terrain, and other obstacles using his supply of power-ups, featuring his iconic Mushroom and Fire Flower. As well as introducing the Cape Feather. He must get to the end of a world, challenge and defeat the boss at the end of each castle, and proceed to the next. Sounds simple enough. It's the same as the othe... Read the rest of this Review

Chrono Trigger Review by strikerofthewind
Hey guys! My second review! YAY! This time it's on the game Chrono Trigger. It's basically the perfect game. Even if you don't like video games, you will love Chrono Trigger! This game is legendary! Dubbed by many, myself included, the best game in history, it was made by Squaresoft, who made some of the best games in their time. Anyway, here we go.
The graphics in the game are amazing! The Super Nintendo Entertainment System games almost always have great graphics anyway, but the graphics in here mesh together more than perfectly. It's definitely one of those games that people who only play the games today that only focus on graphics would still love. From the simple moves like Crono hitting an enemy with his katana, to the giant moves like Dark Matter and Luminaire, the graphics are perfect for each moment.
I don't even know how to begin on the sound. Chrono Trigger is famous for if nothing else, the music! The music in here even earned Chrono Trigger a spot on Screwattack's Top Ten SNES Games list. From the songs like Peaceful Days to the songs like Boss Battle 2, from A Shot of Crisis to Corridors of Time, the music never gets annoying, with each one fitting the mood perfectly. Changing songs at perfect moments to keep the mood adds to this. Each of the character's personal theme songs are phenomenal, as well. I wish the rating didn't stop at ten, because this more than deserves a score of at least fifty!
In terms to addictiveness, it's really... Well, actually, let me tell you this: I've played and beaten the game well over fifteen times. But that aside, the addictive levels of the game are surprising. This game will always bring you back for more. Period. End of story.
The story line is impossible to describe in words. This is easily the most original story in gaming history. Possibly history in general. The game's story is impossible to not love. It gets bizarre at times, admittedly, but that's what makes the game all the more ... Read the rest of this Review
Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time

Okay, well, here's my first review of a game ever! Yippee! Ahem, anyway, as any Nintendo fan can tell you, the Legend of Zelda series is easily one of, if not THE, most addictive and deep gaming series ever! This doesn't fall short in any of the games. Ocarina of Time is no exception, as you shall soon hear.
Considering the game is for the Nintendo 64 gaming console, it's obvious the game is going to have great graphics. In a nutshell, it's the first game from the Legend of Zelda series that NAILED 3D graphics. That there is a solid ten!
The sound is not just good. The sound is AMAZING! The music in Nintendo games is considered legendary in its own right. Legend of Zelda is included in this category, of course. Every Zelda game has its selection of music. From Link to the Past to Skyward Sword. Each one has the music we know and love. Ocarina of Time is obviously included in this category. The music in Kokiri Village all the way to the peak of the tallest mountain is astounding. It's impossible not to love the music. Another ten from me!
In the area of addiction to the game, there is no fault. If you're like me, you don't drop something in the middle and never come back to it. Even if it's the worst game or whatever you're doing in the world, you won't stop until you see the ending. That aside, I can still tell when a game will call me back for more, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will call you back over and over and over again. It doesn't matter who you are. You can even be like my cousin and never come back to something once you finish it, and still come back for more! TEN!
The story is similar to every other Zelda game, so I had to dock points for that. Although Ocarina of Time, like all the others, has the details that separate it from the other games, so I still gave it a high rating. As for the main story line, GORGEOUS! I LOVED IT! You will love it too! I promise! I give story a nine!
As for depth... I'm incredibly proud to ... Read the rest of this Review
