Pokemon Vherestorm Version
03-11-14 01:55 PM
Pokemon Vherestorm Version Rewiev
First of all, I've no idea what Vherestorm stands for but I guess it might have something to do with Mario. Why I come up with this you ask? Because I could not think of a proper introduction.
So let's get right into it:

Graphics & Sound: 7
Not much was changed here, they're almost both the same as in Emerald.
Personally, Emerald's graphics aren't as good as Firered's but animated sprites and little things like the final battle of the 3 legendaries are not to be found in Firered.

Addictiveness: 7
Pokemon is quite addicting(or maybe I'm just a mad human being) and Emerald has at least a decent story and more content than Saphire and Ruby for example do. I wish the creator would have changed more to make this hack stand out more of the flood of hacks that you can find on Vizzed and in the Internet.

Story: 7
I already mentioned above that Emerald was one of the first Pokemon games that had something like a (good) story. But since I've played it a dozen times the creator could have tried to improve or change the story completely.

Depth: 8
Emerald sure had depth, unlike most of the previous Pokemon games. The only thing that annoyed me that it was so hard then to get all the Pokemon you wanted. Good thing that the creator improved the original game. One of the main arguments for a hack is (always, at least for me) a higher variety of Pokemon and the more to catch the better(or something like that...)

Difficulty: 8
Another thing that I like about hacks of Pokemon games is the fact that in most games you'll rather find some kind of challenge here than in the original games as sometimes I feel I'm rather too da** good or the games were made for 6 years old children who'll throw their precious Masterball at the first legendary Pokemon they see. Or maybe both of these things.
When I read first about Overpowered Pokemon I didn't like the idea. But the creator chose some I wouldn't an... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Emerald - Catch \'em All!

Pokemon Emerald - Catch 'em All! Review
Let's do this...Bear with me, people.

Graphics: 8
"HG/ SS animated sprites" is definetely an improvement to the normal Emerald. Since the normal Emerald graphics are only slightly better than average to me, I rate this hack an 8 concerning graphics. Although I'd like to see more graphical changes like new Tiles or changed Maps and towns.

Sound: 7
Nothing changed here. I think RSE music is fine while nothing special. 7 points here.

Addictiveness: 7
While there could've been changed more to create a new experience for players who played Emerald as often as I did, the changes are not that bad. At least, Emerald has some nice features like the Battle Frontier which can be addiciting. Combined with more catchable Pokemon than in the original games, this sure makes it more entertaining.

Story: 8
Emerald was one of the first Pokemon games which had an adequate story. For Gen3 it is totally fine. But still you(or let's say: I) always expect "hacks" to be (totally) different than Game Freak's(masterpieces :D ).

Depth: 8
Story and Addictiveness combined for me results into 8 points. Compared to Ruby and Saphire, Emerald offers much more content.

Difficulty: 8
One of the things I love hacks(and got me into hacking)is that most hacks include improved difficulty. Especially the first Generations were way too easy, that's what I think at least so it's good to have some kind of challenge.

Conclusion: The game offers what the creator wrote in the description. Nothing less, nothing more.
Good luck with your future projects(if you ever want to make a new one of course ;) )!
Pokemon Light Version (beta 1.01)

Pokemon Light Version Review
As it's only a Beta so far this review might not be accurate when the final version comes out but so far...
I've been following Pokemon Light for at least a year in the development thread and was excited to see a playable Beta. The screenshots, the presentation, it looked very promising.
So here's my short review:
-What I like is that there`re Pokemon from Gen4(maybe Gen5, I'm not sure, I haven't met any so far yet). For someone who played 3Gen games so often as I did it's nice to see a few new Pokemon in the game.
-The titlescreen looks great, it may be a spoiler to the story. Btw, Lucario is such a cool Pokemon :)
-The graphics, at least on the screenshots look good. While not everything is yet accessible in the beta, it'll be in the final version.

So far my review sounds like I like(lol)the game. I really do, but I can't ignore what's ruining(well not ruining but more like making the game less enjoyable)the game:
-A lot of grammar mistakes. Although I hate to be the bad guy(actually, I don't, it's pretty cool)the mistakes can really get on your nerves. At least the creator knows that so I hope that the final version will have these fixed.
-Although it's a Beta you(or rather I)would expect that the game works as far the game goes. I could have dealt with that if you could only get one badge but that's equalized with an interesting game in general. But things like missing sprites for the new starter Pokemon or other mistakes that could easily be avoided because I believe that the owner and his/her team have experience in Rom Hacking.

My conclusion: I'm very interested how the final version will be. I see potential in this hack, I hope I won't be disappointed.
Pokemon Liquid Crystal (beta 3.3)

Pokemon LC Review-Pure Awesomeness
Pokémon Liquid Crystal 3.3 Live Beta is the current version of the very popular Pokémon LC. Compared to Version 3.2, this add a lot of Bug Fixes and also new Orange Islands.
The graphics are really good. Valencia Island or Goldenrod City are just beautiful designed, great for a fan of the 2nd generation like me. The reason why I rated graphics only a 9 are the Pokémon. The Pokémon during a battle feel "Emeraldish", since I´m not a fan of Ruby/Saphire/Emerald I don´t like some Pokémon sprites(e.g. Caterpie).
The sound is just great. Some new tracks which you won´t find in the original Crystal game are really nice, they fit with the environment.
This game is more a challenge than the original 2nd generation although it´s not that difficult if you´re a pro like me ;) Most trainers use strong Pokémon and also got Potions which makes the battles more entertaining, at least to me.
The story has been changed, and I think this one is really good. Silver will eventually lead Team Rocket and you will encounter guys like Giovanni and Lance but also new characters who aren´t in the original games like Zane.
In fact, there´s so much to do, I´ve played LC for more than 30 hours and I´m still enjoying it.
If you´re looking for an overall awesome Pokémon game with great graphics, pleasant sound, an expanded and better story and so much depth then you should play Liquid Crystal.
Pokemon Dark Rising (beta 2)

Pokemon Dark Rising Review
Pokémon Dark Rising is a very nice hack. You can tell the work of the creator:
-Graphics are quite good. Shiny Gold and Liquid Crystal may have better graphics but Dark Rising portrays the Pokémon very nice.
- Sound is good but nothing special.
- Many characters from the Anime like Ash and Rocky will be encountered and play a particular role in the story.
- So far I've played I like the story. There will be a lot of question you'll be confronted with. That's why you want to find out where your father will be and who this dark organization might be.
- Difficulty has been drastically improved(at least for me): Although you'll receive a Dragon Pokémon at the beginning the beginning might be hard. A lot of strong trainers forced me to train(I don't remember when the last time that happened was  ). I currently have 2 badges and a Dragonair Lvl 40 and my opponents are really taking me to the limit. But I like that. Better difficult than easy, huh?
Overall I rate this game 9.5. I might change my rating because this Hack isn´t complete yet.

Pokemon Rocket Strike Walkthrough
It seems like some people have problems with progressing in the game. Here are some tips and ways to progress:

Q : How do I get to FARAWAY ISLAND?
A:You go south from here:

Q : How do I get back to the Sevii Islands after I returned to Kanto?
A:Go to the Southport Harbor, flash the ticket and surf to the west. You need at least 7 badges to progress here. Just talk to the guy and he will disappear after you leave and come back!

Q : How can I get faster to Kanto?
A:There's a cave which leads you back to the Southport Harbor

Q : Where do I get Rock Smash?
A:You get it inside this cave!

Q : When does that policeman disappear?
A:You need to have at least 8 badges. Talk to him, then leave and come back.

I'll add more later on. If you got any suggestions or questions then feel free to post it.

Pokemon Rocket Strike FAQ
So it seems like a few people are struggling with certain events. Although I'd like you to think more and explore I can at least give you a few hints :)

Q: I can't get the card key, the dome fossil causes a purple screen, I can't progress in the Safari Zone!

A: These annoying bugs were fixed long ago. So if you haven't read the description you probably don't have the current update here. Refer to the Triune's thread, he posted the way to update the game. Reading always helps(also my personal motto)!

Q : I can't get SURF!

A:You can obtain Surf if you got a certain amount of GYM badges.

Q : Why does this Pokemon sound like that Pokemon?

A:Because I'm unable to insert new cries the new Pokemon have the cries of the old Pokemon...

Q : Where can you get the VS-Sekker?

A:I removed it since there 1)lot's of trainers and Pokemon to fight and 2)personally, I don't see it as essential anyway.

Q:Are there any bugs in this great game?

A: First, thanks for the compliment :P As far as I know, there should't be any game breaking bugs.

Apart from this, there are some text overlaps and not disappearing text boxes but they don't affect gameplay.

Q: Why is my rival May instead of Gary?

A: Without spoiling too much, I assure you that you meet Gary fricking Oak later in the game. I was just unable to replace Gary's sprite in the intro with May's :)

Q:Why do my Pokemon (like Houndour)not evolve?

A:You don't have the National Pokedex. You can get it pretty early in the game when you head to the Vertania Forest.

Q:Which new Pokemon did you include in Rocket Strike?

A:I'll only name a few: Electivire, Honchcrow, Shieldon, Cocnodon, Magmortar and some more!

Q:Which evolutions were changed?

A:I changed evolutions for some Pokemon. Pokemon which required trading(like Graveler)or happyness(like Go... Read the rest of this Guide
