Pokemon Emerald Review! Overall - So, I just recently played through Emerald again! I've not completely gotten everything but I'm pretty close I suppose. Overall I've really enjoyed the game. Believe or not Emerald is one of the least liked Pokemon's! Pokemon had falling out right before third Gen and well, bad initial reviews. But back to... me? I really wasn't able to stop playing this for the past couple days, not to mention it's one of the few games I'll actually listen to the soundtrack, if I've already played through. I also had a rag-tag team of random or just not good Pokemon and It was fairly difficult for me! xD Graphics - Not much different from it's brother and sister, Ruby and Sapphire, although it was polished up a little bit and everything seemed to be running smoothly. I really can't say they're the most stellar graphics in the world, but for a gameboy game it's really nice looking! As well as the animations, nice job in all! Sound - I have always enjoyed the Pokemon soundtracks, and this is no different. Usually if I play through a game more than once I turn the sound off and blast my own music. But this time I didn't; I sat down and listened to the game, not my music! As always Nintendo knows how to choose music and they did a phenomenal job once more! While listening to the music it draws you in to give you a better experience! Addictiveness - Oh man, I almost didn't sleep! I love RPG's personally and Pokemon is one of my favorites<3 There really isn't much I can say! Story - Emerald has a slightly different story than Ruby and Sapphire, instead of going after magma or aqua, you're going after both! Then you become acquainted with the third legendary (No spoilers, though that may already be too late). Also after the main story and you beat the Pokemon league you have another place to visit, which makes Emerald slightly harder than it's counterparts! Depth - Emerald has quite a ... Fire Emblem - The Sacred Stones 07-24-12 09:44 AM |
Fire Emblem Sacred Stones Review! It's actually been a little while since I've played this game. It really is one of my favorite games. When I saw this game as the Game of the Week, I must admit, I smiled. Overall - Well, overall the game is one of a kind despite it not being a main fire emblem in the series. I really like to think of it like chess, and if you don't like chess.. well, this might not be the game for you. But back to the main point; the combination of all the mechanics, ideals, story, graphics, music, and so much more make this game really enjoyable for people of all ages. I started this when I was young and I still play it! But this game is really well made and the story will grab you attention which I really like. Generally this game isn't too hard, but rather it just has some parts that will make you want to pull your hair out! But if you start to get into this, trust me, ha ha, you won't put it down! To be honest, the hardest part is actually recruiting some of the other characters. If this is your first time playing, characters that you can recruit will attack you. This game right here will not only get you into the Fire Emblem games ( which this is a good starting game I'd say) but it will get you into strategy games that otherwise you wouldn't touch (Pikmin, a real time strategy for Wii and Gamecube). Graphics - I've never known Fire Emblem to be known for it's graphics, I'll be honest the in game graphics are less than stellar, though when it's a memory or just a portrait, I really like how it looks. The animations haven't changed, still being your typical Fire Emblem fighting animations and walking/movement. Though I will say I really like the background, that's something they have improved on and I personally commend them! Sound - The music in this game is just out of this world! the music selections in this game are top notch. If you're one of those people who listens to your own music when you play a game, well, you won't this time. T... Read the rest of this Review |
Pokemon Yellow 07-20-12 12:17 PM |
Pokemon Yellow, the best? This game, man, just this game. My whole entire childhood was in this game. Sitting in my bed just playing this hours on end was absolutely astounding. This, out of all the games, was the closest to the actual show, and I must say, the overall game was much better than its corresponding brother and sister, red and blue. The actual mechanics for the game were well formed for it's premature time. This game got me to use different Pokémon, for when I was young I would use just generally over-powered Pokémon in my actual game play; after this I started branching off and using lesser known and weaker Pokémon. |
